ABC Renews THE MIDDLE and LAST MAN STANDING, Cancels BODY OF PROOF, RED WIDOW, and MALIBU COUNTRY

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: ABC has renewed some shows. This time around, it’s the Patricia Heaton-led THE MIDDLE and Tim Allen’s LAST MAN STANDING.

Getting the not-so-great news are freshman drama, RED WIDOW, freshman comedy, MALIBU COUNTRY, and the retooled BODY OF PROOF.

RED WIDOW Season 1 Finale: The Cast and Creator Tease ‘The Hit’

RED WIDOW’s first season comes to an end tonight, and while the people involved were understandably a bit tight-lipped about what’s to come, I was able to get a few teases about “The Hit” from Radha Mitchell (Marta), Goran Visnjic (Schiller), Luke Goss (Luther), and series creator Melissa Rosenberg while I was up in Vancouver late last year as they were filming the show’s final days…

RED WIDOW: Melissa Rosenberg and Goran Visnjic on the Structure of Season 1

Whenever a new serialized show debuts on television, some viewers seem to hesitate to commit, not knowing whether their time will pay off in resolution.

But that won’t be the case for RED WIDOW.
