As SUPERNATURAL gears up for the final arc of its season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel (Misha Collins) are on the hunt for the remaining items that will allow them to return to the Apocalypse World. (Sam and Dean’s mother, Mary, is currently there, as is Lucifer’s son, Jack.)

“Eventually they’ll get all that they need,” SUPERNATURAL executive producer Robert Singer teased prior to the show’s PaleyFest panel. “The run-up to [the end of the season] is as big as we’ve done, in an odd way. We’re excited where the story is taking us.”

“Seeing what Jared and Jensen do, it’s always exciting for us,” added executive producer Andrew Dabb, who cited the next couple of episodes as installments he was most excited for fans to see. (The long-running CW series has also officially been renewed for next season, as well.)

Demon Dean may be gone on SUPERNATURAL, but as the executive producers have teased, the storyline isn’t over: thanks to Dean’s Mark of Cain, things remain complicated. In fact, SUPERNATURAL executive producer Robert Singer teased that the mark is “the core of [the brothers’] emotional story” for the rest of the season.

Check out what else Singer had to tease…

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: The Cast and Producers Share Their Love for the Fans

The relationship between SUPERNATURAL fans and its stars is a unique one — sure, other shows go to conventions, and some shows have conventions devoted solely to them, but the steady stream of SUPERNATURAL conventions all over the world connects the fans to the show in a way few other fandoms have.

But what do the stars and producers think of the fans? They shared their (incredibly sweet) thoughts…

We’re just one day away from SUPERNATURAL’s 200th episode, and the hour — which SUPERNATURAL showrunner Jeremy Carver called “a love letter to the fans” — is one of the most meta-filled installments of the series.

I spoke with SUPERNATURAL stars Jensen Ackles (Dean) and Jared Padalecki (Sam), as well as executive producers Carver, Robert Singer, and Adam Glass about what’s in store in “Fan Fiction”…

Over 199 episodes, SUPERNATURAL has introduced monsters, demons, angels, and so many things that go bump in the night. But, of course, some stand out a little bit more than others.

At the (first) celebration of SUPERNATURAL’s 200th episode, I asked star Jared Padalecki (Sam), and executive producers Jeremy Carver, Robert Singer, and Adam Glass which creatures were their favorites…

SUPERNATURAL: Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer Offer a Few Season 9 Teases

SUPERNATURAL kicks off its ninth season tonight, and while the hour is very good, there’s also virtually nothing that can be said pre-air that wouldn’t massively spoil what goes down.

And while the SUPERNATURAL cast and executive producers were very good at teasing what’s to come this season while they made the Comic-Con rounds, I had a few additional questions for executive producers Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer about what was going down…

SUPERNATURAL: Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer Tease the Upcoming Potential Spinoff

Fresh off THE ORIGINALS — THE VAMPIRE DIARIES spinoff — making it to the fall CW schedule, another popular show is getting the spinoff treatment this upcoming season: SUPERNATURAL.

“They came to us; I think [The CW] wanted to do a spinoff,” SUPERNATURAL executive producer Robert Singer told me of the upcoming backdoor pilot, which is currently scheduled to be the 20th episode of the season (and he’s scheduled to direct). “I think what we pitched them, which they seem very excited about, is probably not what they expected.”

Which means if you were hoping one of the characters you already know and love from SUPERNATURAL was about to get a show dedicated to them — like Klaus and the Originals family did with THE ORIGINALS — you may be a tiny bit disappointed.
