SLEEPY HOLLOW’s latest look at season 2 teases “hope, courage, destiny,” but it’s the promo’s closing line that is most chilling/alarming: “War is hell.” (And, as fans who watched season 1 can attest to, it’s a multi-layered statement.)

Check out the awesome promo for what’s to come now…

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Meet Abbie and Jenny’s Mother!

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Meet Abbie and Jenny’s Mother!

Aunjanue-EllisSLEEPY HOLLOW has cast Abbie and Jenny’s mother: a rep for the show has confirmed that Aunjanue Ellis (THE MENTALIST, E-RING) will guest star as Lori Mills. EW first reported the casting.

And while Ellis will portray the deceased Mama Mills for “multiple episodes,” that won’t be the first time viewers get a taste of the family dynamic.

“You may see [their] mom in the first episode back,” SLEEPY HOLLOW executive producer Heather Kadin teased last month. “Although you see her, you don’t see her.”

It’ll also be interesting to see how Lori pops up when she does show up in the flesh — will it be flashbacks? Nightmares/dreams? Some other supernatural-y explanation? (After all, death has never stopped a character from appearing on this show.) Or, perhaps, is she not actually dead?

Ellis is set to first appear midseason.

Are you excited to see what the Mills family dynamic is like?

SLEEPY HOLLOW returns Monday, September 22nd at 9 PM on Fox.

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Orlando Jones, Lyndie Greenwood, and Alex Kurtzman on Irving’s Loss of Control, the Addition of Matt Barr, and More

When SLEEPY HOLLOW’s first season concluded, every single character was put in a highly dangerous situation, but for Irving, his situation was more grounded than the rest: he was arrested after he confessed to crimes he didn’t commit in order to protect his family.

At Comic-Con, SLEEPY HOLLOW stars Orlando Jones (Irving) and Lyndie Greenwood (Jenny), as well as co-creator Alex Kurtzman spoke with reporters about Irving’s loss of control (and the semi-appropriate place he ends up), as well the addition of Matt Barr — and who has been handsy with him…

SLEEPY HOLLOW: John Noble Teases the Next Step in Henry’s Plan

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: John Noble Teases the Next Step in Henry’s Plan

SLEEPY HOLLOW pulled off one of the best twists of last season when it revealed in the final moments of their freshman season that John Noble’s Henry was much, much, much more than he appeared. (I’m remaining vague in case people haven’t seen the finale, but really, if you haven’t, please go watch it ASAP.)

To get a little clue about what the heck comes next, I sat down with Noble to talk about mining the character’s humanity, Henry’s next step in his plan, and more…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie Tease a Season 2 Obstacle

SLEEPY HOLLOW’s first season may have ended with all of the characters in grave danger, but even once they escape those more immediate issues, Abbie and Ichabod will find another obstacle in their way: a new sheriff, who isn’t quite as open-minded as they may have hoped.

Before the recent SLEEPY HOLLOW FYC panel, series stars Tom Mison (Ichabod) and Nicole Beharie (Abbie) teased what impact the new sheriff will have, and more…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Roberto Orci and Heather Kadin Tease the New Faces in Season 2

SLEEPY HOLLOW has added a good amount of new faces to its already impressive lineup for the upcoming second season: Ben Franklin, the new sheriff, and a bounty hunter. And, of course, there’s also the return of Abraham/Headless.

So what can viewers expect from these new faces? And will more new characters be joining them? SLEEPY HOLLOW executive producers Roberto Orci and Heather Kadin had a few good teases to share about which character will be stripping down, which characters will be sharing sparks, and more…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW Season 2: Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Mark Goffman, and Len Wiseman Tease Abbie and Ichabod’s Reunion

sleepy-hollow-featured

When SLEEPY HOLLOW’s first season concluded, every character was put in a pretty terrible position, and as showrunner Mark Goffman pointed out at the time, “These are the worst of situations to find themselves in, and they’re all separated.”

But the characters — especially Abbie and Ichabod — can’t stay separated forever. And since production of SLEEPY HOLLOW’s second season is underway right now, at Monday night’s FYC event, I asked series stars Tom Mison (Ichabod) and Nicole Beharie (Abbie), and executive producers Goffman and Len Wiseman what they could tease about Abbie and Ichabod’s eventual reunion…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW Nabs a HOUSE OF CARDS Star for Season 2 Arc

Another bit of SLEEPY HOLLOW casting news: a rep has confirmed that the series has cast HOUSE OF CARDS’ Sakina Jaffrey as Leena Reyes, a new sheriff who will be (hopefully temporarily) taking over for Captain Irving, since Irving ended last season in jail in an attempt to protect his family. The casting was first announced by E! News.

In March before the show’s PaleyFest panel, SLEEPY HOLLOW producer Heather Kadin teased that they were looking to cast a woman to “replace” Irving as he dealt with his legal issues.

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW Recruits HELLCATS’ Matt Barr

SLEEPY HOLLOW is adding another member to “the ultimate collection of underdogs” in season 2: a rep for the show has confirmed that Matt Barr (HELLCATS, HARPER’S ISLAND) has landed the role of Nick Hawley, a “ruggedly handsome” bounty hunter who will help on a case. Since Barr is scheduled to recur, it seems like the case will go well.

TVLine was first to report the casting.

Are you excited to see Barr on SLEEPY HOLLOW?

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Should Jenny Survive? Lyndie Greenwood Weighs In!

sleepy-hollow-featured-lyndie-greenwood

SLEEPY HOLLOW’s first season ended with a whole lot of cliffhangers, but one of the potentially more deadly ones was Jenny’s very bad car crash. And while Lyndie Greenwood (Jenny) has been confirmed as a series regular for the upcoming second season, on SLEEPY HOLLOW, screen time doesn’t have to equal actually being alive. (For instance: John Cho’s Andy, who died in the show’s first episode, still appeared in about half of season 1.)

But would Greenwood rather Jenny survive, or, perhaps, would she enjoy getting to play some kind of supernatural version of her character? She weighed in…

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Neil Jackson — AKA Headless/Abraham — to Recur in Season 2

SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Headless Horseman will continue to play a part in the show’s storytelling: a rep for the series confirms that Neil Jackson, who played Abraham Van Brunt (AKA Headless) in the first season episode, “Necromancer,” will recur in the show’s upcoming second season.

SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Nicole Beharie: I Know Abbie’s Ready to Fight in Season 2

April 18, 2014 by

SLEEPY HOLLOW left Abbie in arguably the most vulnerable spot she’s ever been in — both literally and figuratively — and while series star Nicole Beharie (Abbie) allowed that her character “may be losing her mind” in purgatory, she was also firm that Abbie would be ready to fight.

Check out what Beharie had to say before the SLEEPY HOLLOW PaleyFest panel about Abbie’s changes, and how the reveal of Jeremy’s paternity will impact her…

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Tom Mison on Ichabod’s Season 2 Troubles, Why He Trusts the Writers, and More

April 3, 2014 by

sleepy-hollow-featured

When SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Ichabod Crane woke up in 2013, he found himself in an uncomfortable position — his friends and family were long gone; he discovered his wife was a witch, and while she was still alive, she was trapped in purgatory; he had to get used to all of the new inventions and way of doing things he had missed in the 200 years he had been dead.

And yet, as Mison points out in video below that all of that was a “walk in the park” compared to where Ichabod will find himself in season 2: his wife has been kidnapped (by his not-so-dead ex-best friend), his newfound son is causing all sorts of trouble…and there’s also the small matter of Ichabod being trapped in a box.

Check out what Mison had to say about Ichabod’s season 2 troubles, why he’s OK with not knowing too much about what’s to come, and more…

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Mark Goffman and Heather Kadin Preview Season 2

SLEEPY HOLLOW viewers still have months to go before the show returns to our televisions, but the writers are hard at work shaping what’s to come in season 2.

To get a little tease of what’s to come (beyond the post-finale teases), I spoke with SLEEPY HOLLOW showrunner Mark Goffman and executive producer Heather Kadin about the new faces coming to town (including the possibility of the new police captain being a female), how long the search for Katrina might last this time, and more…
