STRANGER THINGS Season 4: Netflix Releases Hopper-Centric New Tease

STRANGER THINGS season 4 is officially in production, and a familiar—quasi-presumed dead—face is at the forefront for the first tease: Hopper (David Harbour)!

“It’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other,” The Duffer Brothers teased in a release. “Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American.”

STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Photos

More than a year-and-a-half after STRANGER THINGS last had new episodes, the Netflix drama is back on Thursday, July 4.

Per Netflix, “It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”

STRANGER THINGS: New Season 3 Trailer Teases the Big Bad May Be Someone We Know

Uh oh…STRANGER THINGS may be pitting the kids against one of their own.

In the final trailer for the upcoming third season (which drops on Thursday, July 4), the kids realize that though the gate was closed at the end of season 2, it’s possible they locked something up with them. And if that’s the case, it may need a new host.

STRANGER THINGS: Netflix Releases Wild Season 3 Trailer

The STRANGER THINGS kids are growing up…and growing apart?

Netflix finally released a trailer for the breakout show’s third season—which returns to the streaming platform on Thursday, July 4—and the group of friends aren’t exactly sitting in the basement playing games.

“The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy have worked really hard; they understand the stakes are high,” Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Vice President of Original Content said during her executive session panel at the Television Critics Association in 2018. “They really want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. They really want to take the time to get it right.”
