Although it was no easy task, I chose my favorite moment from each this past season’s episodes to share with you. And no, Jim’s shirtless scene didn’t make the cut (surprised? so am I!).

To enter: It’s simple and fun (that’s what she said). Share your favorite moment from Season 4 of THE OFFICE and you are automatically entered to win. A random winner will be chosen from all the valid entries. Please make sure that the email address you provide is valid so I can contact you if you are the winner.

FUN RUN
Kevin: Are you kidding me? Pam and Jim are totally hooking up

The wait was over. Jim & Pam were finally revealed as a couple and life has been good ever since. I was in Cali watching this episode with my friends K, K & J and I remember being so happy that my show was back. Little did we know the crazy season we were in for with the WGA strike, Ryan the douchebag, Toby the creepy perv and the demise of Dwangela, among so many other great things.

DUNDER MIFFLIN INFINITY

Kelly: I hope you’re still committed, because I’m pregnant. And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it. [cut to Kelly shaking her head no]

This is right up there in my top moments of S4 of THE OFFICE. Kelly shaking her head no was so pitch perfect that I am still laughing today just thinking about it. And this isn’t the last of Kelly Kapoor that you’re going to see on this list (but this video is some of the best Kelly Kapoor moments ever)

LAUNCH PARTY
Andy: If you change your mind, I’m the first in line. Honey I’m still free take a chance on me.Andy Bernard backed by Here Comes Treble professes his love for Angela Martin and forever changes “Take a Chance of Me” for millions of people worldwide. Really, can you listen to that song without hearing Andy? Cheers to Ed Helms for that great moment.

MONEY
Kelly: Ryan used me as an objectFor me, the greatest piece of ensemble acting in all four season was this conference room scene. “Money” was the directing debut of Paul Lieberstein and I thought this particular scene demonstrated just what an amazing ensemble cast THE OFFICE really is. Well played.

LOCAL AD
Dwight: I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then, my life was so great, that I literally wanted a second one…Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly.I think this quote says it all. Dwight Shelford. Classic. Oh and I don’t want to forget about Philly Jim. Jim’s Second Life character was actually a small part of an arc that we didn’t really see play out this season because of the strike, but perhaps next season we will see Jim Halpert finally step up and go after what he wants (besides just Pam)

BRANCH WARS
Michael: “Take her to a motel, make love to her”
Jim: “No. I’m not doing that.”
Michael: “Just say that you want to get back together.”
Jim: “No! I’m not doing that.”
Michael: It doesn’t have to mean anything, just do it for Stanely. Come on Jim, just climb on top of her and think about Stanley.”
Michael: “Jim, if this is it for me promise me something…host the Dundies”
The tears streaming down my face during this season…oh man. A fantastic moment between Michal and Jim especially given that we don’t see Michael at all. “…host the Dundies” – Good God that was brilliant! Oh and the return of Karen “shut it ‘shida” Fillipelli. Who knew I missed her? Not me, but I did.

SURVIVOR MAN
Michael: Ten years, you’ll figure it out.
Jim: Well, I don’t think I’ll be here in ten years.
Michael: That’s what I said (pause) That’s what she said.
Jim: That’s what who said?
Michael: I never know. I just say it. I say stuff like that, you know, to lighten the tension. When things sort of get hard.
Jim: That’s what she said.
Michael: Hey..nice. Really good. Bravo, my young ward.

Once again we got a little taste of what Jim’s future might hold if he doesn’t start to be a little more proactive in his life. Sorry, but another great moment between Carell and Krasinski. For better or worse I remember watching this season and not seeing the characters, but the actors. It felt like a great improvised moment…not sure if it was but it was great.

THE DEPOSITION
Kelly: I don’t talk trash. I talk smack. They’re totally different. Trash talk is all hypothetical, like, “Your momma is so fat, she could eat the Internet.” But smack talk is, happening like, right now. Like, “you’re ugly and I know it for a fact, ’cause I got the evidence. Right there.”

Ms. Kapoor makes my list again, but come on you know she totally deserves it. I’m starting a petition for The Kelly Kapoor Story Hour. Who’s with me?

DINNER PARTY
You took me by the hand,
Made me a man
That one night
You made everything all right

Hunter. Oh poor, innocent, most-likely-defiled-by-your-much-older-boss, Hunter. I sang this song for days after this episode aired. And now I’m going to have it in my head again. Dammit!

CHAIR MODEL
Pam: not gonna move in with anyone unless I’m engaged.
Jim: Have I not proposed to you yet?
I was in the Caribbean with no access to TV when this episode aired. I remember checking my email before I went to bed and inbox being flooded with notes from OFFICE fans wondering what I thought about the scene. I was spoiled rotten before I got to see this play out so I didn’t have that same stomach dropping moment when Jim and Pam first talked marriage or during the first of the oh so many fake out proposals, but I loved it all the same. It why I refuse to erase this episode until my S4 DVDs are firmly in hand.

NIGHT OUT
Toby: I am moving to Costa Rica.Pervy Toby crosses a line before hopping a fence. If I hadn’t been spoiled that someone was leaving the show I would have thought that Toby’s ill timed confession about moving to Costa Rica was just an excuse to get out the awkward situation. Just a few short weeks later Toby Flenderson was gone…or was he?

DID I STUTTER?
Michael: Have you ever been in a gang?
Darryl: The Latin Kings. The Warriors. Newsies.

Darryl! Darryl! Darryl! It was great to see Craig Robinson more this season. All of his scenes with Kelly were great, but I had to pick this brilliant exchange with Michael as my favorite Darryl moment of the season. I mean come on..fluffy fingers? Dinka Flinka.

JOB FAIR
Michael: Yeah. Kiss her. Kiss her good.

So there a few Jim & Pam moments on this list…sue me. Hell, I could make a whole list of nothing but my favorite Jam moments of the season (hmmm..maybe not a bad idea). But come on, it’s not everyday that I get to see John Krasinski loving on a woman like that. And come to think of it, it’s not something I want to see again anytime soon. Scratch this one off the list..I hated this scene.

GOODBYE TOBY
Holly: This is a button.

How Amy Ryan was not nominated for an Emy for best guest star after her amazing stint as Holly Flax is beyond me. The season finale was just so pitch perfect, and Amy Ryan’s cameo so dead on in so many ways that it was a near perfect episode (if only Jim had proposed). I can’t tell you how excited I am to see Amy Ryan return to the show in Season 5. Hopefully they can convince her to stay around for a long, long time. The thought of Michael Scott having a soul mate thrills me to no end.

Runner up:
Jim: “I’m going to propose tonight. Holy Crap!”
Yeah, but you didn’t so….And that’s that. Some of my very favorite moments of Season 4 of THE OFFICE. It wasn’t easy (that’s what she said).

Now that I’ve shared my favorite Dunder Mifflinites, I turn it over to you. What are YOUR favorite moments of THE OFFICE Season 4? Just for sharing you’ll be entered to win THE OFFICE Season 4 on DVD.

Best moment in Season Four (and in the top series wise): Dwight explaining to Angela what happened to her cat.

  2. Carly on August 12th, 2008 1:38 pm

My favorite moment had to be during Dinner Party. The scene where Jim tries to bail on Pam because is apartment is flooded/ on fire. Theyre so comfortable together. I love it.

  3. Tessa on August 12th, 2008 1:54 pm

My favorite moment was the cold open where everyone is watching the DVD screensaver bouncing around the TV. Heck, that’s one of my all time favorite cold opens period. You know I have totally done that before. Those screensavers really suck you in! I love scenes where the entire cast is together, and it gets some bonus points for Michael’s oblivious reaction.

  4. Emily on August 12th, 2008 1:56 pm

When Pam and Jim get busted by the “camera crew” about dating and seeing how giddy they are about their relationship.

  5. Michelle S. on August 12th, 2008 2:09 pm

It’s hard for me to pick one but it has to be the dinner party. The way Jan went nuts is the funniest thing. During the promos for that episode, where they showed Michael yelling, “THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!” always cracked me up and I was so anxious to see why he yelled it like that! I can’t wait to see the outtakes!

  6. Jaz on August 12th, 2008 2:14 pm

My favorite moment was when Jim gave Dwight the pep talk in the stairwell of “Money,” then Dwight snaped out of his funk and went back to his sales calls. The look between Jim & Pam was precious, showing us how much they really cared for Dwight.

[…] Original Give Me My Remote […]

  8. Jennie on August 12th, 2008 2:20 pm

“Yeah, I have a question. How dare you.” I love Kelly being bitter at Ryan.

  9. Sara on August 12th, 2008 2:24 pm

Any moment from Dinner Party. That whole episode was amazing from start to finish.

  10. Stephanie on August 12th, 2008 2:26 pm

Michael driving his car into the lake.

  11. Jaime on August 12th, 2008 2:28 pm

For me, it’s absolutely Jim’s almost proposal in Goodbye, Toby. The whole episode (the whole second half of the season, really), with him thinking about it, then realizing that he HAD to propose at the office, and then planning it…..You can see the EXACT moment he was going to his mouth, you see Pam realize exactly what’s going on, just to have it ruined. It’s a beautiful moment that perfectly shows what The Office is all about.

Also, it made me giggle like a schoolgirl.

  12. Adam on August 12th, 2008 2:28 pm

Easy. The first thing that poppd in my head…..

    From “The Deposition”

Jan’s lawyer: How long have you known Ms. Levinson?

Michael Scott: Six years and two months.

Jan’s lawyer: And you were directly under her the entire time?

Michael Scott: That’s what she said.

    Jan’s lawyer: Excuse me?

Michael Scott: [slowly] That’s what she said.

    …..

Jan: If I may, he was just telling a joke before, so can we move on to a different question?

    Jan’s lawyer: Are you sure?

    Jan: Uh, yes.

Jan’s lawyer: Can you go back to where this digression began?

Court reporter: [reading] Mr. Schneider. And you were directly under her the entire time? Mr. Scott. That’s what she said.

Michael Scott: Well. Delivery’s all wrong. She’s butchering it.

    Classic!

  13. JJ on August 12th, 2008 2:39 pm

Favorite moment was Holly treating Kevin like he’s “slow.” Absolutely brilliant.

  14. Jessica Eager on August 12th, 2008 2:40 pm

My fave moment is the whole Beet Farm episode, especially when Dwight reads Harry Potter to Jim and Pam (and Moses). The best!

  15. Maggie on August 12th, 2008 2:50 pm

My favorite moment of the season was watching the ad that Michael put together. Because it was kind of funny, definitely weird, a little bit terrible (but not really), and genuinely sweet. Just like Michael. And the entire branch got to take part and do what they do best.

  16. Emily on August 12th, 2008 2:55 pm

    Favorite moment from S4….
Ya know. There was a plethora of Jim/Pam moments to chose from, most notiably the ring and the fact he was going to propose Tonight (*sigh* it didn’t happen).
However, since I knew spoilers, I mean, it was still amazing amazing seeing them on screen, but my favorite moment is a lot simpler.

Michael/Holly in the finale. I had only gone into it knowing she was the new HR rep. I didn’t know about the Michael love. And how simple and cute it was between them. Reminded me a lot of Jim and Pam in the early days. Yoga Yoda. Woman on the floor beside chair. All gold. They are so cute and challenging Jim and Pam as my OTP.

  17. Maggie on August 12th, 2008 2:55 pm

This is so hard! (That’s what she said! he he) How do I choose?

I love Kelly’s explanation of smack talk, and how she and Pam were going to “settle this” by playing ping pong themselves but they were both terrible.

I love how Jim was basically kidnapped by Michael and Dwight to prank the Utica branch.

I love how Pam had to drive back to the office for Michael’s single piece of paper.

But maybe my favorite was when Michael and Dwight surprised Ryan at the New York nightclub, and after he was glad to see them, they were like… “It’s Michael and Dwight.” Or when Michael said he doesn’t understand a minute of The Wire.

Or when Angela was backing up Jan’s attacks on Pam at the dinner party…

    There are too many favorites!!

  18. Maggie on August 12th, 2008 2:57 pm

    No, no! I have it!

When Jim tried to be efficient and have everyone finish their work on Friday night and he got everyone locked in. Poor Jim. 🙂

    And Toby rubbing Pam’s knee!

  19. Veronica on August 12th, 2008 3:01 pm

    FUN RUN
-All the Jim and Pam moments, this was my favorite episode for Jam! Toby winning the run was pretty great too!

  20. Sabrina Sanchez on August 12th, 2008 3:01 pm

My favorite moment was the cold opening when everyone was watching the TV behind Michael to see if the square would go directly into the corner. I laughed so hard at that.

I also love Jim’s fake-out proposal to Pam. Even though it killed me.

  21. Sara on August 12th, 2008 3:02 pm

    From the finale:

Michael: Did you see that! Did you see it? Did you see what… wow-wee! Uh, well, Jan didn’t believe in showing affection, so… sometimes I don’t know how to react when a girl touches me. Oh… I like it! [giggles]

  22. Lizie on August 12th, 2008 3:04 pm

Soooo many great moments but I think my favorite would have to be all of the amazing Kelly-Ryan-Daryl moments. Mindy Kaling is my faaavorite!

  23. khristian on August 12th, 2008 3:04 pm

My favorite moment was Jim and Pam being called out by the production crew, when they showed them the footage of them kissing in the car.

  24. Sarah on August 12th, 2008 3:07 pm

Toby asking for a copy of Michael’s diary after laughing hysterically when it was revealed he writes in it about Ryan like he’s another woman in his life.

  25. Kelli on August 12th, 2008 3:10 pm

While not my favorite overall episode, I loved the conference room bit in Launch Party. Classic!

Jim Halpert: There’s this cube on the screen which bounces around all day. And sometimes, it looks like it’s going right in the corner of the screen and at the last minute it hits the wall and bounces away. We are all just dying to see it go right into the corner. Pam claims that she saw it one day when she was alone in the conference room. Okay. I believe she thinks she saw it.
Pam: I saw it. I saw it and it was amazing. Who said I didn’t see it? Did Jim say that I didn’t see it? I saw it!

  26. Cindy on August 12th, 2008 3:11 pm

Mine was probably one that a lot of people will say along with you: Kelly, all of her, actually. But the best is “Ryan used me as an object.”

    Loved it!

  27. Laura on August 12th, 2008 3:11 pm

defiantly when andy sings “take a chance on me” to angela. i went and downloaded the song right away. i love that part! so cleaver!

  28. Brian on August 12th, 2008 3:12 pm

Oscar: The real crime, I think, was the beard.

  29. Michelle D on August 12th, 2008 3:14 pm

My gosh, there are so many classic moments, its so hard to choose just one.

During the Dinner Party episode, Michael starts bragging about his flat screen TV and shows it to Jim. The TV is approximately like 5 inches by 5 inches. Later on after Michael and Jan fight she chucks one of his Dundie awards at the TV and it shatters the screen. It was was just classic, hysterical and sad all wrapped up into one.

  30. Holli on August 12th, 2008 3:14 pm

My favorite was Jan’s singing and dancing along to Hunter’s CD which was so obviously about her. With her Andy Warhol in the background, it’s tops. My 2nd favorite was the running gag in Goodbye Toby where Holly thinks Kevin is “special.”

  31. Holly on August 12th, 2008 3:16 pm

In the cafeteria during the deposition, when Toby opens up to Michael and it looks like they’re going to share a special moment…and then Michael slowly and deliberately pushes Toby’s tray off the table.

  32. Jenn on August 12th, 2008 3:16 pm

Hands down, when Holly thought Kevin was “special” and he didn’t get it. Sooo hysterical. Hardest I’ve laughed all season.

  33. Courtney on August 12th, 2008 3:18 pm

It’s definitely hard to choose but I would have to say almost all of “Money.” Between Dwight telling them their room choices, Mose running beside the car, story time, and Schrute farms being temporarily “Wireless,” I think that episode was easily one of the best of the season.

  34. Rebecca on August 12th, 2008 3:21 pm

oh geez. Dwight reading Harry Potter? or his interactions with Ryan’s friend at the nightclub? or, “Then I just want to be friends. Plus a little extra. Also, I love you.”

Or Kelly’s smack talking, or Andy at the golf course, or…

  35. Jennifer on August 12th, 2008 3:22 pm

This is easy. My favorite moment of the season was from Dinner Party when Michael says that he’s a screenwriter and Jan goes ‘And I’m a candle-maker but you don’t hear me bragging about it.” I liked that line so much, I made myself a shirt with that quote to wear around the house.

  36. Liz on August 12th, 2008 3:22 pm

The best storyline is when Dwight tell Holly that Kevin is mentally challenged. Hands down.

  37. Post-it Thief on August 12th, 2008 3:29 pm

    “I fell in the sandtrap!”
    Oh, Andy!

  38. Mindy on August 12th, 2008 3:31 pm

I love the scene where Jim fake proposes to Pam by asking her to wait while he ties his shoes but since so many have already picked that scene … here is my 2nd favorite

    “Pam: Hey Toby.
Toby: Hey… [sees both Jim and Pam] you two.
Jim: Hey. So now that we are dating, uh, we just wanted to know if we had to sign one of those ‘we’re dating’ things for the company.
Toby: Oh well, you know, those were only for, you know [makes quotes with fingers] relationships, so… if, if this is just a casual thing, there’s no need, really.
    Jim: Oh.
Pam: Well, I don’t wanna speak for Jim, but, it’s like pretty official. [Jim smiles]
    Toby: Uh huh.
Jim: Sorry, uh do we need to sign one, or…?
Toby: Let’s just wait and see what happens. [whispers] You know?
    Jim: What?
    Toby: Let’s just wait.
    Jim: Oh, OK.
    Pam: OK.
Jim: Great. [Jim and Pam walk away]” (from OfficeQuotes.net)

  39. Erin on August 12th, 2008 3:32 pm

My favorite (to second several other people) was when Pam admitted to their relationship – they looked like they were going to still try and deny it, and then she just came out with it – I thought that was so cute and true-to-life!

  40. Kristin on August 12th, 2008 3:33 pm

Kelly: I don’t understand what the big deal is?
    Ryan: You don’t.
    Kelly: No.
Ryan: You lied about being pregnant.
    Kelly: Right. So?
Ryan: You really don’t understand why that might make me kinda angry?
    Kelly: No.
Ryan: We’re never getting back together.
    Kelly: Why not?

    CLASSIC Kelly!

  41. Alison on August 12th, 2008 3:33 pm

I love when Angela said she would never put one of Dwight’s beets into her mouth. It was such a small moment, and not really the focus of Dinner Party, but it was hilarious!

  42. Arica on August 12th, 2008 3:34 pm

My favorite season 4 moment was when Jim professed his love for “Italian Food.” My heart actually skipped a beat when Jim kissed Pam in front of the whole office.

  43. Amanda M. on August 12th, 2008 3:34 pm

This is way too hard for me (that’s what she said) with so many good moments to pick from. I thought I had one but every time I see one someone else has posted I think “That one! No, THAT ONE!”

I’m going to go with Holly and Kevin at the vending machine. I was dying laughing through that whole storyline. “This one’s a button.”

  44. Christine on August 12th, 2008 3:34 pm

So very many to pick from. As always, Michaels social awkwardness is almost too painful to watch.
When he meets Holly Flax and asks her if she is real or a hollygram?? Then he states that if it were Christmas, people would have to kiss underneath her! Love it!

  45. Elsa on August 12th, 2008 3:36 pm

My favorite moment was during Dinner Party, when they were playing the guessing game, and Jim kept messing up on purpose, and how horrible Michael was at the game. I love how it showed Michael and Jim’s characters in just one scene. Michael is always looking for approval, and thus he tries his hardest at every social event, even if it means possibly looking like a complete moron. But it also shows that sometimes, he really does not understand what he is doing, and that we should forgive him for some of the stuff he says and does, because he means well. And it also shows that Jim can and will have a good time no matter where he is and what he is doing. He can make any situation fun, while still staying sweet, because he humors Michael (while making fun of him) instead of criticizing him, which is all Jan does. I just think it’s both a hilarious and honest scene, and it’s very hectic. Each character has to think quickly, and so exactly what’s on their minds comes out, also showing how genius Jim is.

  46. Kerry on August 12th, 2008 3:38 pm

I love when Jim and PAm get everyone stuck at the office and Toby puts his hand on Pam’s lap. He then mutters about how he’s moving to Costa Rica and runs out and jumps the fence. CRACKS ME UP every time!!!

  47. Suzy on August 12th, 2008 3:39 pm

I love absolutely all of these… its not fair to pick a favorite!

What about Ryan getting arrested and oscar talking ‘smack’ about the beard. Don’t think i’ve seen anyone say that one yet…

  48. Clare on August 12th, 2008 3:41 pm

Okay sooo hard to choose here… wait, can we play up in The Canada? please? pretty please? I loved this moment:

Jim: Ok, I just have to ask… Now that we’re “public,” um… is the magic gone?
Pam: It’s funny you bring that up, because… yes, it is.
Jim: I knew it. Oh, man. Just like that, huh?
    Pam: I think… I don’t know what it is, but…
    Jim: Be honest.
Pam: I now find you… repulsive.
Jim: That’s honest. Whew. All right, fair enough. It was really fun while it lasted though, wasn’t it?
(Pam’s expression shows she doesn’t agree.)
    Pam: Eh…
    Jim: For me it was.
    Pam: Okay.

  49. Alex on August 12th, 2008 3:41 pm

Michael’s present to Toby, the rock with the “suck on this” note. And of course, Michael’s “I’ll kill you” face! haha

  50. Sarah on August 12th, 2008 3:45 pm

My favourite moment from Season 4 had to be when Jim whips it out.

Okay, so by it I mean the engagement ring that he bought a week after they started dating.
But it just made me wonder us all wonder when, oh when, the proposal is going to happen. Poor Jim.

And the second best moment would have to be the final scene of the season finale, with Dwight and Angela. It made me feel bad for Andy. Well, almost.

  51. spamtastic on August 12th, 2008 3:45 pm

I loved when Jim started acting like Michael in “Survivor Man”, even getting annoyed with Toby. I especially enjoyed Michael and Jim talking at the end of the episode…it really did feel improvised.

  52. Hannah on August 12th, 2008 3:45 pm

well the fourth season was a great one and my favorite but i have to say, my favorite moment is by far the greatest moment of the Office. Which was at the end of the final episode, when Philis walked in on Dwight and Angela in the process of an act that was a little naughty. mmmm hmmm.

  53. Gaby on August 12th, 2008 3:45 pm

Mose running up the road alongside Jim and Pam’s car to the beet farm. That 5-second clip is second to none.

  54. Cheryl on August 12th, 2008 3:46 pm

“And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it.” Cut to Kelly shaking her head. HILARIOUS.

  55. Rachel on August 12th, 2008 3:46 pm

    Great list of moments.

There are so many to choose from, but I will have to agree with the moment in “Dunder Mifflin Infinity” when Kelly tells Ryan that she’s pregnant and then it cuts to her shaking her head. Not only a hilarious moment, but quite adorable as well. You know, if you can look past her faking a pregnancy, it’s adorable. “And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it.”

  56. Rachel (again) on August 12th, 2008 3:50 pm

How could I have forgotten Hunter’s song? I listen to that song every once in a while. I think it’s safe to say that the song and Kelly’s head shake/”pregnancy” reveal are tied.

  57. Katherine on August 12th, 2008 3:54 pm

Oh my goodness! Choose just one moment? It’s been such a fantastic season, though!
I’ve gotta say…when I think season 4, though, since Toby was my favorite is when Toby puts his hand on Pam’s knee, realizes what he did, announce he’s moving to Costa Rica, and jump the fence! I mean, seriously, as soon as he ran outside and actually jumped the fence, I was cracking up so badly!

Oh yeah and also from Job Fair
Michael: I would never say this to her face, but she(Pam) is a wonderful person and a gifted artist.
Oscar: What? Why wouldn’t you say that to her face?!

  58. Tia on August 12th, 2008 3:54 pm

Hard to pick just one moment… It doesn’t look like anyone has mentioned this so I’ll say in Fun Run when Andy talks about nipple chaffing. So gross and so funny! Also in Fun Run when Pam says “I didn’t see where it started, I saw where it ended!” And all of Dinner Party.

  59. Kristen on August 12th, 2008 3:55 pm

My favorite moment is in Launch Party when Dwight is trying to beat the computer, and Jim and Pam pretend to be the computer and talk to him.

    “Who am I?”
    “You tell me.”
    “Not sure, just became self-aware.”

  60. Natasha on August 12th, 2008 3:55 pm

I am in agreement with all the above, but in an effort to honor a moment not mentioned yet, I’m going with Kelly’s line “Were Jim’s parents first cousins who also sucked at Ping Pong?” Cracked me up!

  61. Maureen on August 12th, 2008 3:55 pm

haha I would have to say the entirety of “Money” but especially the bits with Mose.

  62. Fallon on August 12th, 2008 3:55 pm

Favorite moment has got to be in Fun Run when Jim and Pam are the last in the race and he reaches out to hold her hand 🙂

  63. Kelsey on August 12th, 2008 3:56 pm

The best moment from season four was when Jim and Pam were walking down the sidewalk and he pretended he was going to propose to her, but was actually tying his shoelace.

  64. Allison on August 12th, 2008 3:56 pm

My favorite moment is during “The Deposition” as entries from Michael’s diary are read aloud and Toby can’t stop laughing as Ryan is referred to as “just as hot as Jan but in a different way” and everyone wondering who this “Ryan chick” is. Plus, Michael signing his diary entries XOXO was a perfect addition.

  65. Nicole on August 12th, 2008 3:56 pm

Jim and Pam getting caught red-handed as being together by the filming crew in the conference room. Classic! 🙂

  66. Sara on August 12th, 2008 3:57 pm

Wow these bring back a lot of great memories. My favorite moment was when Jim and Pam were pulling up to the Beet farm coming up with various names such as the Radish Inn and the Beet’s Motel. Then Mose shows up at the side of the car and chases them up the road. Pam’s reaction was priceless.

  67. Pauline on August 12th, 2008 3:57 pm

Michael yelling “I have hemorrhoids” in Survivor Man.

  68. Stephen on August 12th, 2008 4:00 pm

My absolute favorite moment is when Holly helps out Kevin at the vending machine. It’s PERFECT!

  69. sorano916 on August 12th, 2008 4:02 pm

To be honest, my favorite moment was the cold open from “Local Ad.” I love when it’s an ensemble scene. Plus, Andy not getting the Kit-Kat bar jingle was great.

  70. Michelle on August 12th, 2008 4:08 pm

Favorite moment has to be Jim and Pam singing along to Hunter’s song in the car after the dinner party. Classic Jam moment for sure. So cute, so funny!

  71. Tara on August 12th, 2008 4:09 pm

Shocked that no one has mentioned this one yet….unless I missed it…but the very last scene of Season 4!!!!! The return of Dwangela!!!! Right there on a desk in the office!!!! Maybe not the funniest, but definitely the best moment of the season for me!

  72. Alyson on August 12th, 2008 4:10 pm

There are way too many to choose, as I love pretty much every scene, but my heart sings every time Jim lets us know how much he loves Italian food as a metaphor for Pam, and then kisses her soundly in the middle of the Office.

  73. Liz on August 12th, 2008 4:18 pm

My favorite moment had to be when Jim showed the camera crew the engagement ring he had bought a week after starting to date Pam, so cute.

  74. Rebeka on August 12th, 2008 4:20 pm

“Hey Pam, will you… wait for me one second while I tie my shoe?”

    Best.Scene.Ever.

  75. Jada on August 12th, 2008 4:25 pm

Dwight: Hey Pam, will you… wait for me one second while I tie my shoe?
    — Yes, I agree with you, Rebeka! That one was so good.

    I also liked
    Jim: What are the themes?
Dwight: America, irrigation, and night time.
    Jim: Irrigation! Nice.

  76. Alex Wilson on August 12th, 2008 4:28 pm

The most memorable S4 moment for me is probably Jim consoling Dwight in the stairwell, and then–so stirred by his own confession–his surprising both Pam and himself with a kiss upon his return to the office proper.

  77. Janessa on August 12th, 2008 4:28 pm

I laughed really hard when in the Dinner Party episode at the end Andy takes a lick of Angela’s ice cream and then she slams it against the side of the car. I’m not usually an Angela/Andy fan, but the look he gives her is so priceless!!

  78. Kim on August 12th, 2008 4:30 pm

Kevin’s Kool-Aid Man face. Hands Down.

  79. Colleen on August 12th, 2008 4:32 pm

My favorite moment is when Ryan aks if kelly has a question and Kelly answers: “Yeah, I have a lot of questions. One, how dare you?” Kelly cracks me up!

  80. Johanna on August 12th, 2008 4:36 pm

Too many favorite moments, but I am going to pick Dwight thinking Ryan’s friend/dealer was a hobbit from “Night Out”! 🙂

  81. Deirdre on August 12th, 2008 4:41 pm

My favorite moment has to be michael saying “BEST. NIGHT. EVER.” It’s just…perfect. And a bright spot on a painful episode.

That or “WHERE ARE THE TURTLES?!?!?!” I know it’s over the top, but I love it so much.

  82. Pete on August 12th, 2008 4:44 pm

All these moments are fantastic, but the hands down best part of the season was when Dwight told Holly that Kevin was slow and he proceeded to act regularly. There’s too many of them to pick out a specific quote, but the interview with Kevin when he says “I’m totally going to bang Holly. She’s cute and helpful and she really seems into me” is fantastic.

  83. Jordan on August 12th, 2008 4:50 pm

My favorite season 4 moment is, of course, a Jim and Pam moment – I love the first proposal fakeout when Jim gets on his knee when they’re walking and asks her to wait as he ties his shoe.

  84. Jenna on August 12th, 2008 4:53 pm

My absolute favorite moment was Kelly’s “Yeah I have lots of questions. Number One: How dare you.” The delivery of that line and the entire scene is fantastic. I also loved Kevin’s “it’s just nice to win one” heartbreaking talking head. Is it September 25th yet?!?!?!

  85. Emily on August 12th, 2008 4:58 pm

    Dinner Party:

The entire scene where Jan and Michael give a tour of their bedroom, but particularly Michael’s bench-bed.

  86. Jake on August 12th, 2008 4:59 pm

I’ve got to go with the Survivorman episode. When Michael tapes his sleeves and pant legs back on with duct tape. Also when he shouts “I have HEMOROIDS!”.

  87. Jennifer on August 12th, 2008 4:59 pm

Okay, so I’m a total sap and my favorite moment isn’t one of those that is totally hilarious……I love when Jim is consoling Dwight in the stairway talking about why he left Scranton. The way he heads straight for Pam and the talking head following “I really love Italian food (aka Pam).”

  88. Brett on August 12th, 2008 5:02 pm

Dinner Party. Easily the most awkward episode ever broadcast. Just what The Office is good at.

  89. Ashley on August 12th, 2008 5:04 pm

My favorite moment by far is Andy singing “Take a Chance on Me.” I was already madly in love with Andy, and after seeing that, I was in a constant swoon for an entire week. I’ve never gotten that giddy over anything in my life. It was amazing.

I also really loved the moment in The Deposition when everyone was reading Michael’s diary and they thought that Ryan was another girlfriend and Toby couldn’t contain his giggles. And Michael actually wrote in his diary, “Hehehe.” Oh, Michael, I love you.

  90. Cara on August 12th, 2008 5:06 pm

My favorite moment was not a comedic one. It was the Dwight/Jim moment in the stairwell in Money, directly followed by the kiss and the return of Jim-hating Dwight. I loved it all. 🙂

  91. Mady on August 12th, 2008 5:08 pm

My favorite moment was the Charades exchange in Dinner Party. Classic Office.

  92. meriel on August 12th, 2008 5:11 pm

oh man… all these moments are awesome… but i don’t think i saw anyone mention the part from “the deposition” where toby is telling michael a story about how he could kind of relate to the situation, and michael without hesitation knocks his food tray off the table… classic michael vs toby moment!!!

  93. Katie on August 12th, 2008 5:14 pm

My favorite moment of season 4 was in “Goodbye Toby” when Holly is helping Kevin pick out what he wants to eat out of the vending machine. So funny!

  94. Kristina on August 12th, 2008 5:15 pm

I would say something from Dinner Party or the finale but since they’ve been mentioned already, I’ll go with Did I Stutter & Michael leaving his face print in the wet cement & still being able to get a “that’s what she said” moment in.
Also Kevin asking Pam if she can say, “these are due back on Thursday” Classic Kevin!

  95. Sarah on August 12th, 2008 5:16 pm

My favorite moment was the conference room scene when Michael and Ryan are discussing whether it is “whoever” or “whomever”. The best part: “Ryan used me as an object”. I know it’s already been mentioned but it’s my favorite moment!

  96. Laura on August 12th, 2008 5:17 pm

Though “Jam” is not the main reason I love this show, I have to say, I loved the talking head in “Chair Model” when Jim says “I’m not kidding” – and he pulls out the ring! I squee every time!

  97. Catherine on August 12th, 2008 5:17 pm

My favourite moment from season four was simple: the showing of the ad that Michael made in Poor Richards. What a great display of most of the cast!!

  98. Melanie on August 12th, 2008 5:20 pm

“I didn’t see where it started, but I saw where it ended.”

the whole scene of Pam walking in on Michael pants-less is great. then she throws in that quote and I died

  99. Jessica on August 12th, 2008 5:26 pm

The reveal that Jim and Pam are actually dating was great. Also the fake out proposal was hysterical. I think those are tied for first with me.

  100. Kayla on August 12th, 2008 5:26 pm

There were so many, but my favorite had to be Fun Run, simply because we finally knew what happened. My friends and I all started screaming and calling all our other friends at different schools to scream with them too. It was a joyful moment.

  101. Annemarie on August 12th, 2008 5:27 pm

Kevin realizing that Pam and Jim together were PB&J. I love the rest of that talking head, but that moment is the best!

  102. Kurt on August 12th, 2008 5:30 pm

In the episode Dinner Party, I loved at the end where Jim and Pam are sitting in front of the burger place and Pam is telling Jim “Babe, this is the best burger I ever had babe”. Starting from the point and continuing into Hunter’s song “That one Night” going into the montage of seeing what everyone is doing after the party – I loved it.

  103. Brooke on August 12th, 2008 5:32 pm

Best moment in Season 4 for me was Jan running to where Michael was sitting on the train, telling him how he has always been by her side, and proceeding to actually do the same for him. It was an incredibly subtle, sweet moment for them. Before the Dinner Party ruined it all!

  104. lara on August 12th, 2008 5:33 pm

There are so many Kelly moments to choose from, but I think one of her best quotes to date is from “Money”:

“Darryl Philbin is the most complicated man that I’ve ever met. I mean, who says exactly what they’re thinking? What kind of game is that?”

  105. Lindsey on August 12th, 2008 5:36 pm

Dwight: I think I cut my penis on the lid.

Or really just anything in Branch Wars, easily my favorite episode of the season.

  106. Anna on August 12th, 2008 5:45 pm

Hands down, I have to go with Andy’s failed Kit Kat jingle. That was just gold.

A close second would have to be the rerouted phone calls prank, when Pam calls ‘Dwight’ and says “You sound sexy.” and Jim says “I’ve been working out.” haha. Then Dwight’s yelling and Pam says she’s confused. And there’s the priceless Jimface when Dwight tries to take the headset. =)

  107. Sarah on August 12th, 2008 5:51 pm

Jim’s “fake” proposal to Pam – my heart dropped just a little. Loved it!

  108. Joe on August 12th, 2008 5:53 pm

One of my favorite parts of Dinner party has to be when Michael kept showing off his tiny LCD tv and then freaks out when Jan breaks it!

  109. Joe on August 12th, 2008 5:53 pm

One of my favorite parts of Dinner party has to be when Michael kept showing off his tiny LCD tv and then freaks out when Jan breaks it!

  110. buyMEacoke,Jim! on August 12th, 2008 5:55 pm

One of my favorite moments happened in the aftermath of Michael and Dwight’s night out with Ryan; the guys are all laying on the bed together, and Michael asks, “Ryan, what color are my eyes?” –and Dwight interjects “Hazel!” before Ryan can answer. The chain of unrequited love and insecurity is a guaranteed laugh!

  111. Heather on August 12th, 2008 6:01 pm

Dinner Party was the best ever. I loved when Michael and Jan gave Pam and Jim a tour and Michael revealed that he sleeps on the trunk at the bottom of the bed. Best ever.

  112. jillyree on August 12th, 2008 6:01 pm

I guess my favorite scene has to be when Phyllis catches Dwight and Angela in the darkened office after Toby’s going away party. We all know Phyllis is the office gossip, and that Angela is the office prude, so can you imagine the butt kissing that’s gonna go on there in season 5? I cannot WAIT to watch it unfold.

  113. mac on August 12th, 2008 6:04 pm

    Favorite moment:

From the Chair Model I believe…
Michael: “Hey, Oscar Meyer, Weiner. Lover.”

  114. Joy on August 12th, 2008 6:05 pm

When Jim pulled out the ring and admitted he was going to propose to Pam. “Bought it a week after we started dating.” Could he be anymore perfect?

  115. Amy on August 12th, 2008 6:06 pm

This is REALLY hard to choose. I’m ping-ponging between the moment when Jim ties his shoe and Pam thinks he’s going to propose? So incredibly perfect for them. Or when Toby puts his hand on Pam’s knee and then runs off. I thought it was just the right amount of awkward for The Office when I was missing some of that awkward scenarios.

  116. Randi on August 12th, 2008 6:16 pm

Aww man, you mentioned mine. When Darryl said The Warriors and Newsies, I almost choked.

Another favorite: When Jim bends down to tie his shoe and Pam thinks he’s going to propose.

I LOVED the scene where Jim pulls out the ring.

Kelly’s smack talking for the ping pong match, love it.

  117. Lindsey on August 12th, 2008 6:18 pm

My favorite was the sub-plot of “Goodbye Toby”: Holly and Kevin.

    Holly: “This is a button.”

    So funny!!

  118. Alyssa Schwendener on August 12th, 2008 6:26 pm

my all time favorite office moment is during The Injury… actually any moment from that epi, but Dwight trying to drink Meredith’s alcohol tops it.

  119. Alyssa Schwendener on August 12th, 2008 6:28 pm

oops! from this season…hmmm, definitely the mose/dwight table tennis match of glory.

  120. Ryan on August 12th, 2008 6:28 pm

My favorite moment was the blow up fight between Michael and Jan in Dinner Party. Beer sign, hunter’s song, THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!, dundie into the tiny plasma. Just an orgy of humor in those few minutes.

  121. HealthcareHottie on August 12th, 2008 6:34 pm

Jim & Dwight in the stairwell, hands down my favorite and most touching scene of the season. I loved the entire Money episode.

My second favorite is Michael driving his car into the lake and then going back to that guys office to reclaim his gift basket and Dwight yelling, “Hand. Over. The. Turtles.” while Michael rubs his wet clothes on the nice leather couch. I know a lot of people didn’t like those scenes, but I loved them.

  122. Alex on August 12th, 2008 6:34 pm

    Gimme a break

    Gimme a break

Break me off a piece of that a-pple sauce

    Chry-sler car

    foot-ball cream

  123. Aubrey on August 12th, 2008 6:34 pm

The whole 2 scenes where Jim and Pam talk about his proposal that hasn’t happened yet.
“Jim: And when it happens, it’s going to kick your ass, Beesly. So… stay sharp.
    Pam: I’ve been warned.”

“Jim: I am not kidding. [shows camera an engagement ring] Got it a week after we started dating. ”

All I can say is wow. Can’t wait to see if it will ever happen.

  124. Lisa (aka lmr) on August 12th, 2008 6:36 pm

Pam pulls away in her car alone and then pulls to the side of the curb, Jim jumps in and leans over to kiss her… that was it for me.

  125. Susan on August 12th, 2008 6:36 pm

My favorite moment in Season 4 is when Pam and Jim went to Dwight’s Beet Farm and he read them Harry Potter.

  126. call_me_ps on August 12th, 2008 6:41 pm

My favorite all time moment is when Holly and Michael are sitting back at HR and talking as they fix the chair. Michael DIDN’T CROSS THE LINE!!!! I was cheering as loud as you can get.

And oh, so very sad, when he ended up, yet again, with dysfunctional Jan with perfect-for-him Holly right in front of his eyes (and within his grasp!).

  127. Spicy Curry on August 12th, 2008 7:00 pm

    Night Out–the conference room scene:

Michael: I know that a lot of you are very angry at Ryan because he is the reason that we all have to come in tomorrow. However I swear to God, if any of you hurts him in any way, emotionally, or taunts him, or makes fun of his height, or his half beard,–

and then the exchange b/w Ryan and Kelly:

Kelly: If I had created a website with this many problems I’d kill myself.
Ryan: Do you have a question Kelly?
Kelly: Yeah, I have a lot of questions but number one, how dare you.

  128. Jen on August 12th, 2008 7:09 pm

Season 4 finale – at the party, when Jim was pulling out the ring out of his pocket… My friend and I clutched at each other, with our breaths held… and Andy crushed our hearts with his interruption, at which point we started screaming and cursing furiously.

  129. Ulrika on August 12th, 2008 7:10 pm

This season had so many great, wonderful moments, but I just loved the scene in “Local Ad” where Darryl, Kelly, Creed, Kevin and Andy are singing the “Dunder Mifflin: The People-Person’s Paper People!”-song. Pure genius!

  130. brooke on August 12th, 2008 7:18 pm

    ryan’s beard. nuff said.

  131. Katie on August 12th, 2008 7:34 pm

My favorite moment of the season (though I might be alone in this) has to come from Michael Scott, and I quote:

    “I…DECLARE…BANKRUPTCY!!”

  132. jen on August 12th, 2008 7:35 pm

it’s a toss up between money because mose is absolutely hilarious! or the finale when michael told holly kevin was slow and the way she was talking to him made him think she wanted him! or angela and dwight at the end hooking up. i died laughing!

  133. Abby on August 12th, 2008 7:43 pm

I really enjoyed when Jim was standing up to Ryan in “Goodbye, Toby.”

Jim: [on phone, leaving a message] Hey, Ryan, it’s Jim. Look man, I don’t know what’s gotten into you lately, but you know what? I really don’t care, because you’re trying to get rid of me. And I bet you don’t think I care enough about this job to actually fight back, but you’re wrong, because I do, and I will. So you can keep trying to push me out of this place, but guess what? I’m not going anywhere. [hangs up and exhales sharply]

    And the follow-up…

Jim: [into phone] Hey, Ryan, it’s Jim. You know what? Totally disregard that last voicemail, because you obviously have your hands tied. Good luck! [hangs up]

I love those scenes because we’re finally getting Jim-growth again! Lately he was in a funk of love with Pam (not that I’m complaining) but he really needed some individual growth, and proving he was not going to give up just because of some bully (the Temp) was putting pressure on him. Bravo, Jim!

  134. Lindsey on August 12th, 2008 7:45 pm

Michael and Dwight dancing and singing in the graveyard in “Chair Model” episode 🙂

  135. irene on August 12th, 2008 7:51 pm

The scene where Michael decides to emulate Meryl Streep after seeing The Devil Wears Prada. My friends and I quote it all the time.

    “Coat!”
    “Steeeak! Where’s my steeeeeak?!”
“Get me Armani. On the phone.”
“Too slow. You’re not going to Paris. I’m so much better than you.”

    Classic.

  136. Poser In A Parka on August 12th, 2008 7:53 pm

Even with all the Jammy goodness that was S4, I’m going to have to chose Kelly’s smack talk as the best talking head of the season.

  137. samanthemofthesun on August 12th, 2008 7:54 pm

WOW! Where did all THESE folks come from??? Lot’s of people wanting that DVD???? HMMMMM???

MY favorite??? Michael’s goodbye song to Toby….

    “Toby’s goin’ away!”

Now that is just fine singing!

Second, honorable mention – Ryan getting hauled away by the Feds!

  138. Jes on August 12th, 2008 8:13 pm

It has to be Holly and Kevin at the vending machine, closely followed by Kelly’s fake pregnancy.

  139. Vanessa A. Balta Cook on August 12th, 2008 8:15 pm

Andy: I lost a penny out of my loafers, Oscar.

  140. Chelsea on August 12th, 2008 8:20 pm

Not really one specific scene, but I loved it when Dwight tricked Andy into selling his truck. Seller beware…

  141. Shayna on August 12th, 2008 8:20 pm

My morbid sense of humor forces me to love the scene where Dwight is explaining how he killed Sprinkles to Angela.

  142. Zoe on August 12th, 2008 8:22 pm

In “Night Out”, Dwight’s activity at the night club. Go Dwight!

  143. Kari on August 12th, 2008 8:30 pm

My favorite moment is when Jim shows the ring he bought Pam to the camera and told us he bought right after they started dating! Jim is so cute!!

  144. Amanda on August 12th, 2008 8:32 pm

So very many, but the one that makes me laugh every time i think about it:

“Yeah, I have a question. First of all, how dare you.” I love me some Kelly 🙂

  145. Shannon on August 12th, 2008 8:40 pm

There are so many great moments of season 4. If I had to choose one moment that made me scream like a little girl the most would be one Fun Run when we finally found out the truth about Jim and Pam. I wasn’t sure it was going to happen and it was great suprise. Although the entire episde of Toby Leaving, I screamed quite a few times as well. There are so many great little moments that are listed that are some of my favorites as well. Finding out the Jim and Pam are finally together is probably my favorite.

  146. Ashley Sumners on August 12th, 2008 8:46 pm

Jim opening up that engagement ring box. Squee!

  147. Riley on August 12th, 2008 8:46 pm

Michael and Dwight singing American Pie on the chair model’s grave. XD

  148. Susy on August 12th, 2008 8:47 pm

The best moment is when Pam forgets her contacts and has to wear her back up glasses! She is a fellow four eyes and we will gladly accep her in our bunch…

  149. Hilary on August 12th, 2008 9:14 pm

Mkay, since you took all of my favorite Kelly scenes from the season…

The very end of season 4, the finale, when Phyllis walks in on Dwight and Angela doing it. On Angel’as desk. In the office.

Like all our jaws didn’t drop. I mean, she just got engaged (puh) to Andy. Our Dwangela reunion. And finally someone had sex in that Office.

  150. Jade on August 12th, 2008 9:28 pm

    Dinner Party:

    Jan: You’re hardly my first
Michael: *more passionately than ever* THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!

It’s one of my favorite TWSS’s ever and just really put it all over the top for me that ep.

  151. Simon on August 12th, 2008 9:38 pm

The first thing that pops into my head when I think of Season Four is in the first episode (Fun Run), when Michael runs over Meredith and decides that he saved her life by making her go to the hospital where she gets a rabies shot…

and if that wasn’t enough, Michael organizes a run, in support of finding a cure for rabies, which I believe already has a treatment.

    Just the perfect Michael moment.

I’ll even throw in my favorite line:

“You run over one person with your car…and it’s not even one of the popular ones…and everybody gets on your case!”
    -Michael

  152. Caroline on August 12th, 2008 10:02 pm

Best moment: Ryan getting arrested. All the way.

  153. Lud on August 12th, 2008 10:16 pm

    The episode: Goodbye, Toby

The scene: Michael talking to Holly, who’s on the floor, working on her chair.

The reaction: Us; me, you, the entire audience, when we all said to ourselves, in unison, “OMG!!! She’s his soulmate!”

Yeah, don’t deny it. You know you did…

  154. Courtney on August 12th, 2008 10:18 pm

My favorite moment? “Pam, will you…wait for me while I tie my shoe?” The BEST!

  155. Courtney on August 12th, 2008 10:19 pm

Ok, don’t count me twice or disqualify me, but I have another: When Toby’s finger strokes Pam’s knee when they’re locked in the parking lot and there’s the awkward silence. That’s great.

  156. Jack on August 12th, 2008 10:27 pm

At the dinner party, when Michael says something like, you have no idea what three vasectomies does to a person.

  157. Leslie Wagner on August 12th, 2008 10:39 pm

“I’m totally going to bang Holly” Holy crap, did I laugh over that Kevin line!

  158. Em on August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm

Such a tough call but going with my first favorite moment of Jim getting into the car with Pam. Many, many other favorites though…

  159. Jonathan on August 12th, 2008 10:56 pm

My favorite moment BY FAR is Andy’s rendition of “Take a Chance on Me”. I loved his performance so much that I made an audio track of it and listen to it on my iPod all the time.

  160. Nicole on August 12th, 2008 11:06 pm

That’s easy! Jim and Pam’s visit to Dwight’s beet farm.

  161. Leslie on August 12th, 2008 11:11 pm

Darryl (to Kelly): “You need to access your uncrazy side.”

Kelly (talking head): “Darryl Philbin is the most complicated man I’ve ever met. I mean, who says exactly what they’re thinking? What kind of game is that?”

  162. BrokenBrain on August 12th, 2008 11:16 pm

One of my favorites is the exchange between Jim & Pam about moving in together. I love it when Pam talks in the funny voice.

  163. Kathleen on August 12th, 2008 11:16 pm

Favorite moment is in Local Ad when Jim accidentally exposes his really detailed Second Life character. I love the chemistry between the two characters and how it’s simultaneously really awkward and embarrassing but also extremely sweet and loving. It really displays the friendship and the humor behind the romance of Jim/Pam.

  164. Michele on August 12th, 2008 11:17 pm

It’s a small moment, but it’s when Dwight is on the walkie-talkie with Jim, and he’s thinking about hurting the security guard: “I need to do something to his eyes. . . “

  165. WYF on August 12th, 2008 11:21 pm

I love Kelly’s smack talk vs. trash talk talking head, I really should use that in real life.

I also love Darryl, Andy, Creed and Kelly’s song for the Local Ad, which of course, Michael had to shoot down.

I think my absolute favourite though is Kevin’s Kool Aid man face, it came out of nowhere, just like the Andy slaps in the Office Beijing Olympics promo.

  166. Jess on August 12th, 2008 11:22 pm

One of my favourite moments was when Jim confessed he was in love with italian food. The other was when he pulled the ring out of his pocket, and the fact he bought it a week after they started dating. Squee!!!

  167. Kaethe Rutkowski on August 12th, 2008 11:37 pm

The best part of season 4 was hearing the theme song from the first new episode after the writer’s strike. I knew that everything was right with the world when that new episode aired!

My favorite part from the actual series was when Kevin yelled “COME ON!” after the news that Jim and Pam weren’t together. It summed up my feelings perfectly!

  168. tessahessa on August 12th, 2008 11:40 pm

I have never laughed so hard at a TV show than I laughed at Holly thinking she was helping a ‘special’ Kevin by helping him figure out what was and was not a coin for the vending machine. Absolutely perfectly dawesome.

  169. Lauren on August 12th, 2008 11:50 pm

My favorite moment of season four was when Holly and Kevin were talking about how they both drove cars because Holly thought Kevin was mentally handicapped. “You drive your own car? “Yeah, do you?

  170. emmy on August 12th, 2008 11:54 pm

obviously i love all the jim/pam moments from S4, but since they are so hard to choose from, id have to go with the branch wars moment with the guys in Karen’s office when Dwight threatens to burn utica to the ground and michael gestures like hes gone too far, but then says if they “so much as harm a hair on stanley’s head, we will burn utica to the ground.” haha love it

  171. thin_mint on August 13th, 2008 12:13 am

One of my favorite moments of season 4 was in the episode “Money”. It was right after Jim had spoken to Dwight about his ordeals with Pam in the past. He heads toward the office, with the gloom on his face, after reliving some emotional times. Then, as he comes closer to the door, he remembers how happy his life is now, that they were finally together. With a smile spread across his entire face, he swiftly approaches her, cups her face in both hands, and gives her one heck of a kiss.

  172. Jessia on August 13th, 2008 12:26 am

Wow, this is the most comments I’ve seen on here. My favorite moment is when Jim gave Dwight a pep talk in the stairwell (I started crying on rewatch) then Jim went back upstairs and kissed Pam. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  173. Katie on August 13th, 2008 12:40 am

Best quote ever after Michael drives his car into a lake:

“Computers are about trying to murder you in a lake.”

  174. Nicole on August 13th, 2008 12:47 am

My favorite part is definitely when Jim and Darryl are playing ping pong in the warehouse and then Kelly & Pam try to play against each other.

  175. Sara on August 13th, 2008 12:52 am

It’s weird that my two favorite moments are from the first and last eps. From Fun Run, it’s:
Pam: I didn’t see where it started, but I saw where it ended.
    Jim: Gross.

    And from Goodbye, Toby:
Angela: I don’t want your foot money.

  176. Casey on August 13th, 2008 1:11 am

My favorite part of the season was the entire sub-plot in Chair Model where Kevin and Andy are trying to get their parking spaces back. I really like the beginning where Pam and Jim are talking about the nature with the junkyard dog attacking the bones of a chicken and Andy talking about how he lost a penny out of his loafers. Loved it!!

  177. JP on August 13th, 2008 1:33 am

Best part of season 4: Toby putting his hand on Pam’s knee, Jim and Pam noticing his hand on her knee, Toby realizing that they are noticing, and then awkwardly excusing himself before scaling the fence like a pro.

  178. Lisa on August 13th, 2008 1:33 am

My favourite moment from season 4 is a relatively small scene from Survivor Man. I can’t stop laughing when they flash back to all the times when Michael sang happy birthday to all the Dunder Mifflin-ites, when really just taking that opportunity to mercilessly scare them. So hilarious!

  179. Jen on August 13th, 2008 2:16 am

I think the funniest moment for me was Michael showing off his flat screen tv. Oh how he can just stand there for hours and watch it. And if there is a crowd he just pushes it back. hahahaha

  180. Mohammad on August 13th, 2008 5:12 am

My favourite scene from season 4 has to be Kelly and Pam’s bickering in the ping pong episode.

    “I don’t talk trash, I talk smack.”

    HILARIOUS.

  181. Tamara on August 13th, 2008 5:20 am

My favorite part of The Office was when Jim and Pam put Andy’s cell phone up in the ceiling! there’s definitely a lot more of them but I don’t wanna type all of them out.

  182. k-lyn on August 13th, 2008 7:27 am

One of my favorite moments during season 4 was during the “Dinner Party” episode. At the end of the episode where it shows where everyone is at in the end. I especially enjoyed Angela smashing her ice cream on Andy’s new car.

  183. Michele on August 13th, 2008 8:49 am

Looks like I’m a little late to the game — but I’ll go with Jim and Pam driving up to Shrute Farms. The Embassy Beets! Radish Inn! And Mose running alongside the car. So many funny moments this season. Please pick me! :0)

  184. Anne on August 13th, 2008 8:54 am

My favorite moment was Dwight hooking up with that female basketball player at the club in NYC. That was hilarious.

  185. Mikki on August 13th, 2008 9:23 am

My very favorite moment was during Money when Dwight reaches out to Jim on the stairwell after Jim sympathizes with him about the difficulties of unrequited love…only to discover Jim’s already gone!

  186. Michelle Krysl on August 13th, 2008 9:35 am

My absolute favorite from Season 4 was Holly being so nice to Kevin because he was “challenged.” Brilliant!

  187. Anne on August 13th, 2008 9:41 am

I have to add 2 more:

In Money- when Michael says “I DECLARE BANKRUPTSY!”

And also in another episode (I think it’s either Dunder Mifflin Infinity or Launch Party) where Ryan makes Michael learn how to use Powerpoint. And Michael goes “Power. Point.” while pointing his finger.

  188. Katie on August 13th, 2008 9:46 am

one of my favorite moments from season 4 is when Jim and Pam go to Schrute Farms’ bed and breakfast. the theme rooms and Dwight sobbing at night. hilarious….and heartbreaking.

  189. Bree on August 13th, 2008 10:12 am

I loved the Jam interaction quoted by Clare (“Now that we’re public, is the magic gone?”), but my ultimate favorite had to been the Holly/Kevin interaction. Oh, and Kevin’s talking head in Chair Model: “Ever since Stacey… It’s just nice to win one.” Makes me tear up every time.

  190. Emily on August 13th, 2008 10:14 am

So many good moments, but I still love “special Kevin” in the finale. So funny!!

  191. Teresa on August 13th, 2008 10:17 am

There were so many good moments this season, but I have to say my favorite was when Jim showed us the engagement ring during one of his talking heads and said he bought it a week after he and Pam started dating.

  192. Jill on August 13th, 2008 10:19 am

So many great ones- but I love the exchange you mentioned from Branch Wars between Michael on the Walkie Talkie and Jim in the car.
Plus, Kelly during a staff meeting with Ryan, “I have lots of questions. First, How dare you?”
Also, Kelly and Darryl ‘If we’re going to be together, you’re gonna have to access your un-crazy side.”

  193. Sarah on August 13th, 2008 10:23 am

My favorite part of season 4 was in fun run when Kevin said, “I thought they’ed be good together, like PB&J. Pam Beesley and Jim. What a waste. What a WASTE!”

  194. Autumn on August 13th, 2008 10:33 am

My favorite scene in season 4 was Kevin in Local Ad when he said, ” I kind of know what it’s like to be in commercials because in high school my nickname was Kool-Aid man.” It makes me laugh every time I watch it.

  195. Impsy on August 13th, 2008 10:39 am

There were so many fabulous moments, it’s impossible to pick my favorite. But I’ll go with Jim and Pam going to the estate sale in Fun Run – “What if I told you all the money you spend here goes to preventing a disease that’s already been cured?” And their hand holding, SO CUTE.

  196. Jennings on August 13th, 2008 10:46 am

It’s hard just to pick one, but my favorite moment from this season would have to be at the dinner party when Pam is confused about when they’re eating, and she says “I just want to eat. Which I realize is a lot to ask for. At a dinner party.” And later when Jim is trying to leave, and Pam is going “You can buy new stuff, but you can’t buy a new party.” Also–when Jim mixes up his excuse to leave, saying my house is one fire, and Pam cuts in to correct him with flooded.

It was probably one of my favorite episodes from this season, but of course, it’s impossible to pick just one. 🙂 Sept. 25th!!!

  197. James on August 13th, 2008 11:17 am

My favorite part of season 4 was when Holly was helping Kevin decide what to choose form the vending machine in “Good-Bye Toby”.
    “This is a button”

  198. Lacy on August 13th, 2008 11:25 am

I loved the scene in “Good-Bye Toby” when Phyllis goes back to the office and walks in on Dwight and Angela (the look on both their faces is priceless).
You wanted these two back together for so long, and then to finally see that it may just end up happening is wonderful. How horrible for Phyllis though!!

  199. Genevieve Addison on August 13th, 2008 11:26 am

    Pam wearing her glasses!!!

  200. Cynthia on August 13th, 2008 11:47 am

Dwight: “Andy and Angela seem very happy. I hope nothing horrible ever happens to them.”

    Soooo great…

  201. Kelly B on August 13th, 2008 12:43 pm

Kelly saying, “you used me as an object” and her lies to Ryan about being pregnant and the headshake she does in the floating head.

    … So many great moments!

  202. Jessica on August 13th, 2008 12:53 pm

My favorite moments are the classic, and oh-so-quotable, one liners:

    On the Survivorman Man episode
    Michael: “I tented my pants!”

    On the Job Fair episode:
Andy: “…Got a few blisties” (holds up his hands covered in blisters)

I also loved the visual of Andy “drafting” behind Kevin during the Fun Run! Classic!

  203. Amanda on August 13th, 2008 12:55 pm

All of the above!!! I loved all the JAM moments, but so feel cheated on not seeing more due to the writers strike. Other, non JAM moments- In “Night Out”, when Dwight makes out with the women’s basketball player, I was dying!!! Ryan dancing in that episode was classic as well. The whole “Money” episode. And, poor Meredith got beat up this season!!! Hit by a car and an errant football!!!

  204. Jaclyn on August 13th, 2008 1:22 pm

My absolute favorite moment was Angela was talking about Sprinkles her cat, and there was a picture of them (Angela + Sprinkles) wearing like, the same outfit for Halloween. I died laughing so hard!

  205. Starsky on August 13th, 2008 1:24 pm

Pam (about Toby): Don’t tell him I said this, but I always though he was kinda cute.

    Gets me every single time.

  206. Becca on August 13th, 2008 2:14 pm

In “Dunder-Mifflin Infinity” when Kelly is all made up and wearing a fancy dress and she walks into the conference room where they are hanging a “Welcome Back Ryan” banner, and she says, “Oh…..is..Ryan coming in today??” 🙂

  207. Lori Robertson on August 13th, 2008 2:21 pm

There are SO MANY… but one that is really sticking out to me is in “Goodbye Toby” when Oscar is explaining why Ryan got fired and he says, “The real crime I think… was the beard.” HA HA!!!

  208. Susie on August 13th, 2008 2:45 pm

    my favorite moment:

creed:”hey bra” with his fake dark hair (from printer toner). SO great.

    creed is so hilarious!

  209. Caroline on August 13th, 2008 3:07 pm

when jim gets down on one knee and goes “pam….will you….tie my shoe?”

  210. Pilar on August 13th, 2008 3:18 pm

My favorite part of season four has to be in “Night Out” when Dwight sees Troy for the first time. I love how Dwight is convinced he’s a hobbit. That was awesome.

  211. Courtney on August 13th, 2008 3:41 pm

my favourite office memory was the entire episode where Michael hits Meredith with his car.

I was sitting there not expecting anything then all of a sudden she was hit, and I was on the ground hardly breathing because I was laughing so hard. I didnt think it could get better after that but then Michaels explanation to his employee`s about what happened to Meredith had me once again with my mouth wide open. I was laughing so hard the entire episode and the Jim and Pam moments had me going to.

Also Kevins lines, he never disappoints me.

    What a great season!!
cant wait til the next one.

  212. Sam on August 13th, 2008 3:51 pm

I love every moment when we get to see the crazy side of Creed.
My favorite moment, in Chair Model…
“When Pam gets Michael’s old chair, I get Pam’s old chair. Then I’ll have two chairs. Only one to go.”
    Classic Creed!

  213. Julie on August 13th, 2008 4:03 pm

Best part of Season 4 was definitely the introduction of Holly. She makes Michael human and more believable.

  214. Sonni on August 13th, 2008 4:03 pm

My absolute favorite in terms of comedy was the scene in “Money” where they’re all in the conference room and have the discussion about the difference between “who” and “whom”. This cracked me up because since English is not my native language, I actually had to learn the difference between those in school.

In terms of Jim/Pam cuteness, my favorite was definitely the fake proposal scene at the end of Chair model.

My favorite one-liners were Oscar in the season finale (“The real crime, I think, was the beard.”) and Kelly’s “I have a lot of questions, number one: how dare you.” in Night Out.

  215. Deb on August 13th, 2008 4:20 pm

Kelly: I hope you’re still committed, because I’m pregnant. And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it.

Kelly shaking her head was the best moment of S4.

  216. annewa on August 13th, 2008 4:22 pm

There isn’t one favorite, too many to count, but my best reaction was when Toby put his hand on Pam’s knee. That got one of my best reactions ever!

  217. Becky on August 13th, 2008 4:45 pm

So, I love all of these. I have to say when Jim came out of the stairwell after talking to Dwight & kissed Pam. And then the I love Italian food comment. That one gave me butterflies.

I know it’s not from Season 4 but the commercial in the olympics about Jim’s new olympic sport called slap face, and he keeps slapping Dwight. And then they both get Andy. Priceless.

  218. Steph on August 13th, 2008 4:51 pm

My favorite moment was definitely at Dwight’s beet farm when he’s reading Harry Potter to Pam and Jim who are snuggling on the bed with Mose sitting on the end hugging himself…

  219. magstress on August 13th, 2008 4:59 pm

Favorite moment was when Pam and Jim are forced to admit they are dating by the camera crew.

Pam: Yeah, I gave him a ride home because … we’re dating.
    Jim: Wow. There it is.
Pam: Yeah. We haven’t told anybody, but it’s going really great. Right?
Jim: It is going really great.

  220. Half-Inch Drywall on August 13th, 2008 5:31 pm

If I may be so bold as to quote Michael Scott,

“All of them. I loved ’em all. Every single one.”

  221. Jennifer Chain on August 13th, 2008 7:07 pm

My favorite moment was from Season 4 episode 56 titled Money. Jim sat down with Dwight in the hallway to let him know that he went through the same thing with Pam (Dwight is missing Angela and wants to be with her, crying on the stairs) Then Jim goes to Pam at her desk and kisses her passionately, showing some love.

  222. Kayla on August 13th, 2008 8:11 pm

Definitely in “Money” when Jim & Pam just kind of decide to roll with everything and Dwight reads them Harry Potter. Such a cute moment.

  223. Tracy on August 13th, 2008 8:11 pm

one of my favorite lines is from Chair Model:

Michael: “I am a catch, and I will not be the one who got away.”
And, when he calls Kevin’s friend – “Wendy – a hot and juicy redhead.”
I came to love Kevin a lot more last season.

  224. Rickie on August 13th, 2008 8:27 pm

There are so many, where do I even begin. First of all, ALL of the above. I love the very last scene where Dwight and Angela are caught after Angela’s engagement to Andy. Their expressions are priceless!! I love ALL of the Dinner Party. I thought that after all the fighting and Jan breaking one of Michael’s Dundies, it shows her trying to glue it back together. Also, when Michael is so upset about money that he decides to just run away on a train. Jan comes to save him and talks about how he was the only person to stand by her when she was losing her mind; that he was worth it. Sweet.

Oh, also, Dwight getting Andy’s car and reselling it for more.

  225. Heather on August 13th, 2008 9:44 pm

I know it’s small, but I think my favorite moment was in “Dinner Party”, when Michael said the wine has an oaky afterbirth and then they cut to that good ole Jim face.

  226. Orville on August 13th, 2008 10:08 pm

I’ll have to second Kelly’s smack talk as being very fun to watch!

  227. BringMePlayers on August 13th, 2008 10:09 pm

Since I have to choose…Jim impetuously kissing Pam in “Money.”

  228. Jen on August 13th, 2008 11:32 pm

I loved the moment where the camera crew follows Pam in her car around the corner to pick up Jim. The moment he gets in and leans over to kiss her made me squeal with delight. Finally!

  229. morgan on August 13th, 2008 11:38 pm

when Dwight is making fun of the midget asking him if he has powers and lives in a normal size house.

  230. Jessica on August 14th, 2008 1:10 am

I couldn’t stand Ryan’s character this season, but one of my favorite moments involved him…

Ryan Howard: Do you have a question Kelly?
Kelly: Yeah, I have a lot of questions but number one, how dare you.

  231. natasha on August 14th, 2008 2:10 am

    Two favorites:
    1. Fun Run, Pam: “because…we’re dating.” I love the look on Jim’s face right after she gives away their secret, and then how he reassures her that things are going “really great.” Just aww.

This moment is also great because its the first time (I think) that we’ve seen footage from the show being used within the context of the show, and the documentary crew played such a large part in the plot, which I loved.

    2. “You took me by the hand, made me a man, that one night (one night)”! I laugh just at the thought of this song. Comic GOLD.

  232. Ally on August 14th, 2008 4:18 pm

I’m not sure if its too late but…

When Jim talks about his passion for Italian food, he bought the ring…. so cute.

Also; Kevin and Holly in the finale… poor Kevin. 🙂

  233. kim s on August 14th, 2008 5:25 pm

    Chair Model

The fake out proposal…I don’t know a fangirl who didn’t feel as if it were Jim proposing to them, that’s how excited they (and I) were at that moment.

  234. Jennifer on August 14th, 2008 7:21 pm

Yep, the fake proposal wins it for me….I love that Jam!

  235. jennyl on August 14th, 2008 7:46 pm

You have gotten me all nervously excited about The Office with this post! I can’t wait to get S4. Your summaries and choices were great – and loved the videos to accompany them!

My fav scene not mentioned in yours is: the first scene of Fun Run – when Michael hits Meredith with his car – I was so excited – my show was back and it was hilarious!! I was about 5 minutes behind that episode b/c I kept replaying that opening. LOVED IT. Can’t. wait. much. longer. for. new. Office.

  236. tatiana madueno on August 14th, 2008 8:16 pm

my fav eposide is the first one..i love the part where mike goes in and he shows the cameras that jan is sleeping an wont wake up till 12pm..i love it..cuz im a mother of a one year old and would love to sleep in that long..hahahah..and i love how he hits meridth with his car…

    i love the office!

  237. smart little cookie on August 14th, 2008 10:11 pm

“Branch Wars,” when Michael tells Jim over the walkie-talkie to make love to Karen and think of Stanley. And to host the Dundies!

  238. Meredith on August 14th, 2008 11:39 pm

Pretty much any scene with Andy, especially when he’s trying to remember the Kit Kat jingle. Angela explaining the different types of cutlery to Phyllis. The entire cold open where they’re watching the square on the TV screen to see if it hits the corner (“Sure, I believe Pam THINKS she saw it happen…”). The grammar scene with ‘who’ and ‘whom’ (“Ryan used me as an object”). Actually, let’s just say every Kelly moment of S4. Angela sticking her ice cream cone on Andy’s car.

And for dramatic moments, I must have watched Jim’s confession of love to Pam a hundred times over. The single tear running down his face always gets me.

  239. Alison on August 15th, 2008 12:11 am

I love that part in “Dinner Party” when Angela takes her ice cream cone and smashes it into the side of Andy’s car. Classic, it makes me laugh every single time!

  240. i'm in love with jim on August 15th, 2008 1:38 am

    so many, so many…

conference room scene ending with michael telling toby, “you know what, no one asked you anything ever so whomever’s name is toby, why don’t you take a letter opener and stick it in your skull.” CLASSIC MICHAEL AND TOBY!!

andy and jim at the dinner party- “are you seriously asking us to invest in jan’s company?”
“i’m just asking you to think about it.”
    “thought about it. i’m in.”

the deposition and the whole that’s what she said fiasco- “ok, delivery’s off. she’s butchering it.” and of course when michael pushed toby’s lunch tray off!

finally, kelly: “yeah i have a question: how dare you.” !!!

  241. Kyle on August 15th, 2008 2:23 am

The best moment was in ‘Goodbye Toby’ when Holly intrudes on Toby’s exit interview and Michael was torn between his hatred for Toby and his interest in Holly.

    “Who…do you think…you are?”
    “I’m Toby.”

    “What…gives you the right?”

    Priceless.

  242. Caitlin on August 15th, 2008 12:20 pm

I love it when Michael has to stop and mentally walk through what it would be like if he had to park his car far away when Kevin and Andy come to Michael to complain about the Dunder Mifflin parking lot being taken over by construction equipment. I thought that really summed up Michael perfectly, if it’s not personally affecting him he isn’t able to get upset over it. 🙂

“As of this morning, we are completely wireless, here at Schrute Farms. But as soon as I find out where Mose hid all the wires, we’ll get that power back on.”

The whole episode of Money was great, but that was one of my favorite lines from that episode.

Also, the beets motel, chances of being murdered and being passionate about Italian food were all priceless moments.

  244. Emily on August 15th, 2008 3:51 pm

I laughed so hard during the season finale. The best moment was when Michael uses his Yoda impersonation on Holly when she’s trying to fix her chair. The expected awkward pause follows, but Holly responds with her own Yoda impersonation, which is quite good, and the two end up hitting it off.

  245. Michelle on August 15th, 2008 5:26 pm

One of my favorite moments from S4 has got to be when the kid at the job fair signs his name on the only piece of paper that Michael brought to the job fair, and Pam tries to explain that they should have brought more, and Michael sneezed in her tea. Classic Michael. Pam. PAM PAM.

  246. Joy on August 15th, 2008 9:36 pm

I love the whole Holly/Kevin interaction in “Goodbye Toby”. You never realize someone could easily assume that about Kevin until that episode 😛

  247. Saul on August 15th, 2008 10:48 pm

I really liked the ad that Michael made for Dunder Mifflin. There were some hilarious parts of season 4, but that ad was just great (although not particularly funny).

  248. lunatic lady on August 16th, 2008 2:56 pm

When they sang happy birthday to Creed and he started skipping around the room; Kelly explaining the difference between talking trash and smack, and that other scene when Ryan asks if anyone has a question and she says “how dare you?”; Jan dancing at the dinner party. Jim blushing when it was discovered they were dating, or Jim showing the ring for the first time! Garbage the cat… Any scene with Amy Ryan on the finale, the scary yoda impression, the hilarious scenes with Kevin.

  249. Kurt on August 16th, 2008 5:50 pm

    Blisties.

  250. Spencer on August 17th, 2008 9:39 pm

The watching of the DVD symbol bounce around the screen.

    “It’s never going to happen”
    “Dude, you gotta believe”

“Pam claims she saw it one day when she was alone in the conference room. I believe she think she saw it.”
“I saw it! I saw it and it was amazing! Who said I didn’t see it? Did Jim say I didn’t see it? I SAW IT!”

    Ah, genius.

  251. Josie on August 18th, 2008 1:31 am

in fun run when darryl is feeding peanuts to a squirrel that michael thinks has rabies

Michael: Darryl, what are you doing?
Darryl: I’m giving him a peanut.
Michael: No, don’t give him- just, did you hear anything I said?
Darryl: Look how happy he is!
Michael: He’s happy because he’s insane. You know what? That’s the perfect example of the kind of awareness we need to generate.

    hahahahaa

  252. Annie on August 19th, 2008 9:46 pm

My favorite part is the scene where Jim and Pam are discussing his “non-proposal”. How Jim tells Pam that when he does propose, it’s going to “kick her ass!” How sweet and sincere was that!? Love it!!!

  253. Nesdy on August 20th, 2008 10:18 am

My fav. scene is actually the end of the season – when Angela accepts Andy’s proposal – and then she’s caught with Dwight. I was devastated about these two breaking up. I’m so glad they’re back together!

  254. megan on August 20th, 2008 11:34 am

The DVD screensaver cold open — AMAZING! Every moment of that cold open was perfectly delivered; Pam’s “Who said I didn’t see it? Did Jim say i didn’t see it? Because i saw it!” was particularly great.

  255. Stephanie on August 20th, 2008 12:11 pm

When Michael call’s Wendy’s for a date. “Well, can I least have a baked potato?”

  256. TheHandStrikesAndGivesAFlower on August 20th, 2008 12:42 pm

Best moment had to be the entire arc with Jim, Dwight, and Michael going to Karen’s branch wearing warehouse uniforms and mustaches. I agree with you–the walkie talkie scene with Michael and Jim was the biggest laugh-out-loud moment for me on the season.

(Runner’s up, while I’m here: all of the JAM moments–THEY’RE FINALLY TOGETHER!–and the comedic skill and artistic greatness that was “Goodbye Toby”.)

  257. Wanda on August 20th, 2008 1:09 pm

Pam clearing Michael’s phoneline in “Local Ad” by making beeping sounds.

Jim letting Andy know that he actually is mocking Andy after Andy tells Dwight that he can’t tell. “Launch Party”
Andy: And this is where I will record your sales.
Dwight: Hmm. Very nice. Very nice.
Andy: And then I will say something positive, like kudos or job well done.
    Jim: Or zipadeedoodaah.
Andy: I can’t tell if he’s mocking me.
    Dwight: Just ignore him.
Andy: Ehh, can’t do that. Really hard for me to let things go.
    Jim: I was… mocking.
    Andy: Thank you.
Dwight: I just feel like we need something more to acknowledge when I make a sale.
Andy: Yes like a chime or a bell…
Jim: Or a gong. (Andy looks at Jim, Jim nods to let him know that he was mocking again.)
Dwight: Go to my car. Open the trunk. Inside you will see many pelts. Under the smallest one is a case. Inside that case is a bear horn. Bring it to me.
    Andy: Yes!

The brilliant introduction of the new HR person

“I’m totally going to bang Holly.” Kevin

  259. Lara on August 20th, 2008 3:54 pm

yea – i’m another dinner party fan. loved the entire eppy… too many favorite moments.

but for sake of the contest – i’ll choose the scene in the candle room. that whole thing is priceless. the face jan makes to calm down when michael is talking… the face jim makes upon smelling the candle room… the aside breath he takes… alllllllllllllll good!

  260. Abby on August 20th, 2008 4:13 pm

My favorite moment was when Holly thought Kevin was mentally challenged. All the scenes with them were perfect. And I love how Michael didn’t even second guess Holly when she said “today’s a big day for Kevin”.

  261. Annie on August 20th, 2008 6:43 pm

The entire office except Michael waiting for the DVD logo to hit the corner of the screen.

  262. Devon on August 20th, 2008 7:18 pm

My favourite moment was when Holly and Michael were sitting on the floor trying to fix her chair, and we first realised Holly was the female version of Michael. “Acting!” Brilliant!

  263. Alex on August 20th, 2008 7:20 pm

One of my favorite moments from The Office would have to be when Michael and Jan attempt to sue Dunder Mifflin in The Deposition. Jan reveals Michael’s diary as a last resort, which leads to several copies of it being made and read. We’re all aware of Michael’s interest in Ryan but this takes it to a whole new level.

“Mr. Scott, who is this other woman.. Ryan.. who you refer to as ‘Just as hot as Jan but in a different way?’ ”
“Not a woman, just a cool, great-looking best friend”
“Arn’t we trying to determine whether Michael and Jan were engaged in a romantic affair? Not Michael and this Ryan person.”
    (Toby breaks out laughing)

  264. LaLa on August 20th, 2008 11:35 pm

Wow, a really tough choice. From Darryl’s “Fluffy Fingers” speech, to Creed dying his hair black with copier toner, to Andy’s “I did this for Joe Six Pack” speech, to Michael’s line “Hello Oscar Meyer wiener – lover”, to Holly thinking that Kevin was mentally challenged…. man, so tough!

But I think I’m going to have to be a girl here, and go with “Fun Run”, when the camera crew confronted JAM about their relationship, and the two finally, giddily admitted to it. After three years of agonizingly waiting for them to get together and be happy… Man, that sure was a satisfying moment. Actually, Jim and Pam’s relationship for all of Season 4 was really satisfying to me, because even though they had disagreements sometimes, they were still really happy with each other. Bravo to the writers for not taking the cliche route and breaking them up. Because in real life, couples actually CAN be happy.

  265. trish on August 21st, 2008 2:31 pm

    Holly: “This is a button.”

Also, the pictures Angela showed of “good times” with Spinkles. It’s ghastly enough to dress up a cat, but notice how the cat itself looks a little less fluffy in each one. Yikes.

  266. Emily N on August 21st, 2008 3:19 pm

Andy’s nipples chafing in “Fun Run” and the way he ran directly behind Kevin!

  267. Bruce on August 21st, 2008 3:21 pm

Jim holding his breath in the candle room in the Dinner Party episode.

  268. Guin on August 21st, 2008 4:08 pm

My very favorite was in the season finale, when Dwight tells Holly that Kevin was hired from a special work program, and she spends the whole episode treating him like he is mentally challenged.

    “Let’s see, you have 25 cents, 50 cents… this is a button.”

  269. Guin on August 21st, 2008 4:36 pm

Ok, I know I already posted one, but then I thought of one that actually tops that and I had to post it too!

Phyllis, to Pam when she’s wearing her backup glasses:

“I’m already married. Boys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses.”

    Loved it!

    any scene with Dwight

  271. Maria on August 21st, 2008 11:45 pm

I would have to say I was just amazed by the introduction of Holly Flax. Whenever they introduce a new character I am always prepared not to like them, but she fit in perfectly. It takes a special woman and a special performance to be someone who may just be Michael Scott’s soulmate. That being said – I really liked the scene between the two of them when she actually played along and did a yoda voice.

  272. Luis on August 22nd, 2008 1:57 am

Definitely all the scenes with Holly thinking that Kevin is mentally challenged. Hilarious! But I would also like to point out that Jan’s dancing to H’s music had me laughing nonstop.

  273. Kelly on August 22nd, 2008 2:50 pm

Although there are many things on The Office that will qualify as favorites, perhaps the best moment for me was when I realized that I loved this show. I didn’t get into The Office until recently. I cannot remember what the show was up against when it debuted, but it was paired opposite of something I watched. With only one TV and a TiVo that didn’t let me watch one thing and record another, I had no choice but to skip out on The Office. So I’ve recently bought the DVDs series unseen because everyone told me I’d love this show.

I had a similar experience – I was amused by the show, but I didn’t laugh aloud. Until The Office Olympics. When Pam made the doves I began crying as I laughed hysterically, and from that point on I was hooked.

Most recently such scenes as Andy serenading Angela, and the awkwardness of The Dinner Party have left me literally tapping my boyfriend on the couch as we’re both cracking up. If anything I think the show has gotten better and I’m completely addicted to it.

  274. Alexandra on August 22nd, 2008 6:44 pm

I loved when Dwight was explaining to Angela what happened to Sprinkles.

Really, though, any scene at all with Dwight qualifies to be a favorite.

  275. aixa on August 23rd, 2008 7:28 pm

    Best moments;
when michael runs over meredith, and later on says he saved her life because she had rabies.

kelly talking about ryan and how she would like to go to prison to show off so the other inmates would think she was hot and ryan would be like, why did i leave her.

when michael tries to run away and jumps onto a train and then it stops.

when the new HR treats Kevin like hes “special”. that was hilarious especially when she sees him getting into his car and ask if he knows how to drive and get places and then she tells him that shes proud of him and kevin thinks she is hitting on him.

  276. nichole on August 23rd, 2008 9:54 pm

Well, I love them all but given that phyllis is the one who catches dwangela in the season finale, and the attempts at but kissing that are bound to come in season 5 from angela.

I would have to say that my favorite moment is from Launch Party when phyllis walks up to angela with the post-its on her fingers and says “it’s unreasonable for you to ask me to do all of this, you may pick one” angela says something like if you do it as fast as normal you should be fine (which is almost a compliment coming from her) and then phyllis gets pissed balls up the post-its and throws the ball at angela’s face.

The look on angela’s face… priceless. I laughed so hard.

  277. nichole on August 23rd, 2008 9:56 pm

Yes that is definitely the one NO body ever talks to angela that way… Hehehe

  278. Jana on August 24th, 2008 10:12 am

My favorite moment of Season 4 has to be Pam’s inability to shake off her disappointment when Jim’s attempt to propose fails and she can’t smile with Toby when Meredith takes their picture.

I was slightly concerned that she didn’t want Jim to propose right up until that second.

Now I know she DOES. And now all is right in the universe.

  279. deb on August 24th, 2008 4:11 pm

Well, the entire “Kevin is a special person” story line was brilliant for me, but I especially loved it when Kevin said to the camera (about Amy Ryan’s character), “I’m totally going to bang Holly tonight” with that “special” (and gleeful) look in his eye. Such a special moment!

    Jan: No rhyming!

    Angela: Those aren’t helpful–
    Jim Halpert: Tom Cruise!

Michael Scott: Does anyone read the paper??

Maybe because it is fresh in my mind, but all the exchanges between Holly and Kevin cracked me up! Especially Holly “you have your own car!” Kevin ” Yes , I do. Do you have your own car?” And when Kevin talking headed that he was going to score with Holly. I just lost it. Awsome!

  283. RJ on August 25th, 2008 4:19 am

Best part of last season was where Kevin was retarded and he was talking about which snack he wanted to get from the vending machine. That scene alone made the entire season.

  284. Kathleen on August 25th, 2008 12:15 pm

My favorite moment is in Survivorman when Michael is explaining that he is simulating that he is escaping from a serial killer (Dwight) and left for dead and Dwight says that would never happen because he would be knbow as the “overkill killer” and the tries to knock Michael unconcious with his shoe to make it more realistic.

Those are all good moments! I can’t pick just one. So I’ll throw in a mention for Michael Scott’s Dunder-Mifflin ad. I thought it was actually pretty cute and clever and should have been more successful. Plus: “You have a son. And it’s me.”

  290. Philiana Ng on August 25th, 2008 9:28 pm

In “Fun Run,” when Pam walked in on a nekkid Michael Scott dressing in the office. Hilarious!

In “Goodbye Toby,” when Holly Flax thought that Kevin was retarded. Perhaps the one moment that made it for me (and there were a lot) was when she said it was a big day for Kevin to be driving a car to the market.

Also, in the season finale, i loved it when Michael was so shocked that Jan “cheated” on him when he specifically asked her not to. Haha, hilarious!

  291. Emily N. on August 25th, 2008 9:35 pm

I agree with you about the Kelly pregnancy thing. I loved how she played that and the shaking her head was perfect.
Of course I also loved the storyline about Holly thinking Kevin was “challenged” and the way both actors portrayed that.

  292. Jules on August 26th, 2008 1:00 am

I think one of my favorite and funniest moments was the oft mentioned already conference room scene in “Money” over the use of “who” and “whom.” I love Creed’s line of “Michael is right. It’s a made-up word used to trick students” and Oscar’s “Obviously it’s a real word, but I don’t know when to use it correctly.” That is exactly how I feel!

  293. Sarah on August 26th, 2008 11:21 am

dude! I haven’t seen S4, which is why I would love to win the DVD so I can catch up before S5! I’ve just finished watching the first 3 seasons on DVD so I’m a late adopter but I love the show. In lieu of providing my fave moment from S4, then, I’ll give you my fave of S3: Michael coming to Pam’s art show and loving the painting and saying something like “this is our office. we sell paper.” after having had such a bad day with Ryan & his buisiness class. Can this please count as an entry? I promise to tell you what my favorite scene of S4 is once I’ve watched it!! 🙂

  294. Mar on August 26th, 2008 11:45 am

Mine would have to be at the end of “Money” after Michael “declared bankrupcy” and tried to runaway on a train. My favorite quote would have to be when Jan ran and found him sitting on the cable car, jumped on next to him and told him “No matter how badly I treat you, you are there for me and that’s a guy worth staying beside.” I miss “normal” Jan.

  295. Em on August 26th, 2008 10:27 pm

This is an almost impossible task, but as a true Jam fan, I would have to say that my favorite moment was the kiss that happened when the film crew secretly followed Pam in her car.

Not a hilarious or an especially touching moment, but an exciting one for me since it put to rest any doubts about if they were together or not. It got me excited about the reality of a season in which they were finally together.

Runner up: Kelly telling Ryan she was pregnant and then the immediate cut to the talking head where she mouths, “no.” Great writing, great edit, great delivery!

  296. Tom on August 27th, 2008 2:39 pm

If I absolutely had to choose, I’d say the best season 4 moment is between Michael and Toby in the cafeteria. You’re not sure where the scene is going and the camera cuts to the tray JUST as it’s pushed off the table. Brilliant.
