How I Met Your Mother | 8pm on CBS
“Disaster Averted”
The gang reminisces about what happened during Hurricane Irene and Barney tries desperately to get out of wearing the ducky tie.

The Sing-Off | 8pm on NBC
“Top Six Groups: Rocking Out & Goin’ Country”
The groups unite to perform an opening number of “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire. Later, they each perform a rock classic and country hit song to determine who will be leaving the competition. The group that remains standing at the end of the season receives the prize of $200,000 cash and a Sony Music recording contract. Nick Lachey hosts and Sara Bareilles, Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman serve as judges.

Terra Nova | 8pm on Fox
“Nightfall”
A crashing meteor wipes out all technology and wreaks havoc on the colony. Meanwhile, Maddy and Reynolds are stuck out in the wilderness, Elisabeth and Skye work together to save a life and Taylor tries to prevent Mira and the “Sixers” from invading Terra Nova. Also, a mystery man makes his presence known.

Dancing with the Stars | 8:00pm on ABC
“Episode 1308”
The competition continues as the remaining celebrity contestants and their partners perform for an eighth week.

Gossip Girl | 8pm on The CW
“I am Number Nine”
Blair makes all of her former minions and Charlie compete to secure the coveted bridesmaid spots in her upcoming royal wedding. is tired of keeping his relationship with Diana a secret, so he decides to use Charlie to make Diana jealous. Serena’s boss is determined to acquire the film rights to Dan’s book, so Serena must put her personal feelings about Dan and the book aside in order to close the deal.

Two Broke Girls | 8:30pm on CBS
“And Hoarder Culture”
Max and Caroline take an apartment-cleaning job to make extra cash, not realizing it’s the apartment of a hoarder; and Max learns that Johnny is keeping a secret from her.

“The Undead and the Unsaid”
Driving home late one night from a house call, Zoe accidentally hits a man but can’t find any signs of him when she gets out of her car. Later, she sees the man’s photo hanging in the Rammer Jammer, and George has to break the news to her that the man in the picture died over a year ago. Meanwhile, Lemon and George are ready to buy their dream home until Lavon steps in and refuses to authorize the purchase because it is one of Bluebell’s historic properties. Zoe’s mom shows up in Bluebell hoping to reconcile with her daughter after keeping the identity of Zoe’s real father a secret Zoe’s entire life.

House | 9pm on Fox
“The Confession”
A well-respected man collapses mysteriously, and while treating him the team discovers that he has been hiding secrets. His admission of them compromises his chances for recovery. Meanwhile, Chase and Taub rejoin the team, and Taub juggles his work life with raising two infant girls with two different mothers.

“Carl Meets a Lady”
Carl sets his sights high when he attempts to get a date with an extremely attractive woman, played by Holly Robinson Peete.

Castle | 10pm on ABC
“Heartbreak Hotel”
Castle, Esposito and Ryan head to Atlantic City to solve the murder of a New Jersey casino owner who was found in an abandoned New York City warehouse. While there, they have a bachelor party for Ryan.

Hawaii Five-O | 10pm on CBS
“Lapa’au”
Five-0 investigates a suspicious plane crash and the death of a customs agent who was on board. The case takes a twist when the probe reveals the victim was dead before the plane took flight. Meanwhile, Danny becomes the proud caretaker of an orphaned dog.
