Which 2014-2015 Television Trailers Are You Rewatching?

May 22, 2014 by

One of the best parts about the Upfronts is we traditionally get our first looks at the new shows that will be populating our television screens during the upcoming season.

Of course, the trailers aren’t always an indication of how the show will turn out — great shows have had terrible trailers, and terrible shows have looked significantly better thanks to a great trailer. But for now, there are a few trailers I’m obsessing over for the new television season.

Because I do love so many of the trailers, I’ve picked my favorite comedy and drama trailers for each network, so you can either discover them/rewatch them, and I want to hear what trailers/upcoming shows you’re most excited about, too…

Drama: AMERICAN CRIME — I’m excited for a lot of ABC’s new dramatic shows, but Timothy Hutton’s raw grief is so transfixing in the trailer that it’s almost impossible to watch. I hope the show’s intensity can live up to it…

Comedy: GALAVANT — How the heck will a musical fairytale comedy actually work? Beats me. But this trailer is just delightful.

Drama: STALKER — A Kevin Williamson (AKA the man who brought us SCREAM/TVD/THE FOLLOWING) show about stalkers? Yeah, it’s not a big surprise this trailer is creepy as hell.

Comedy: Uh, well, they only released one. Maybe you’ll enjoy THE MCCARTHYS trailer.

Drama: GOTHAM — I mean, like ABC, FOX has several great drama trailers. But GOTHAM’s trailer is just stunning. (And about 7.3 million of you seem to be with me on this.)

Comedy: THE LAST MAN ON EARTH — Again, not really sure how this will work as a show, but no comedy trailer intrigued me as much as THE LAST MAN ON EARTH did.

Drama: CONSTANTINE — Fire, demons, and a whole bunch of action? Yeah, that’s a good trailer.

Comedy: A TO Z — A cute, quirky rom-com trailer. Cristin Milioti is charming, so hopefully the show is as cute as the trailer is.

Drama: THE FLASH — The network only has dramas, and the trailer for the show’s ARROW “spinoff,” THE FLASH is just stunning.

Which trailers are you loving? And which new shows from the upcoming season have you most excited?
