1. Parks and Recreation
Six seasons in, the people of Pawnee are still the ones I most want to come home to. This show has never been afraid to let its characters grow, but in 2014 — kicking off with the 100th episode — PARKS AND REC faced up to the reality that sometimes growth means leaving friends behind. In Leslie’s case, though, her years of hard work have helped the entire town grow along with her. This woman who wants to build something has built a world so real that Michelle Obama wants to shake her hand, and from Cones of Dunshire to Ron’s frozen yogurt letter, that world continues to be as hilarious as it is affirming.
