AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 6 to Air in Summer 2019

AGENTS OF SHIELD was M.I.A from the Fall 2018 ABC lineup, but fans will have to wait much longer for the show’s sixth season.

“AGENTS OF SHIELD is moving to the summer,” Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, told reporters on a conference call to discuss ABC’s 2018-2019 slate. “It’s 13 episodes that will launch in the summer of ’19.”

The move comes as the show got a last-minute renewal…but also means there will likely be at least a year between seasons 5 and 6. (Update: However, fans shouldn’t read this as a last-call for the show. Dungey told reporters she doesn’t view this as a final season—and hopes that moving it to the summer, they’ll be able to keep it around for longer than they would if it ran in-season.)
