WHISKEY CAVALIER Stages a COUGAR TOWN Reunion - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

WHISKEY CAVALIER is bringing in a familiar face: Christa Miller will guest star in the dramedy’s first season.

Miller will play Kelly Ashland, who is a a close friend of Frankie’s (Lauren Cohan) family, “stepped in after the death of her parents,” per a rep for the show. “Now a Federal Judge, the steely, non-nonsense Kelly finds herself embroiled in a crisis that puts her directly in the sights of Team Whiskey.”

WHISKEY CAVALIER, which is getting a plum post-Oscars preview, follows dueling secret agents Will Chase (Scott Foley),whose codename is Whiskey Cavalier, and Frankie Trowbridge, as they banter and save the day with their inter-agency team—which leads to tension, power struggles, and fun.

The casting marks an on-screen reunion for Miller with Foley: the duo appeared on SCRUBS, COUGAR TOWN, and UNDATEABLE together. (All three shows were executive produced by Bill Lawrence, Miller’s husband, who is also an EP on WHISKEY CAVALIER.) Josh Hopkins, who starred on COUGAR TOWN, is also a series regular on the new show.

There will also be an off-screen mini-SCRUBS reunion: Zach Braff directed an hour of the upcoming ABC series earlier in the season.

Miller paid homage to Foley’s SCRUBS role—and the infamous, oft-repeated on social media, brush-off of his character—with her Instagram post from the set:
