THE SIMPSONS: Matt Selman Teases Lisa’s ‘Sleepover From Hell’—Featuring RIVERDALE Stars

THE SIMPSONS’ Lisa has notoriously struggled with making (non-Milhouse) friends, and her latest attempt at befriending kids doesn’t seem like it will go any better.

“There’s a show about I love about Lisa, having a sleepover from hell with a group of evil rich influencer girls,” THE SIMPSONS executive producer Matt Selman previews of the Sunday, May 10 episode “The Hateful Eight-Year-Olds.” “It’s like GET OUT for an eight-year-old white girl.”

In the episode, Lisa thinks things are going her way when she meets a young fellow horse-lover. But things take a dark turn when she spends time with her friend group. “For a kid going on a bad sleepover with little mean girls, the stakes are as high as anything,” Selman says. “So I just want kids to be able to watch that and feel [seen].”

And the girls torturing Lisa will be voiced by a trio of actresses familiar with young drama: RIVERDALE stars Madelaine Petsch, Lili Reinhart, and Camila Mendes. “They were all really funny and threw themselves into the part,” gushes Selman.
