Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

BIG BROTHER: This is my first time watching the show sans All Stars, so seeing them discover each other while also trying to get an immediate read on them myself was fun. It’s early, but I kind of already love the Jokers? And Frenchie was kind of put in an awful position: if he had gambled and failed, he absolutely would have been put on the block this week. But he played it smart. If his team doesn’t get safety next week, though, will he be a target?

CRIME SCENE KITCHEN: This is nothing against the show, but, man, it’s hard to watch when people don’t even finish cooking their dishes. Two teams not even getting their bread cooked through was rough.

Also, it’s INSANE Thomas heard the pan being thwacked and realized macarons might need to be incorporated into their dessert. I was thinking how crazy it was people weren’t hearing each other talk, but I never thought of equipment that could be telling.

LOVE ISLAND: Oh my goodness, so many guys had no one step forward for them. That always makes me so uncomfortable. (But I guess it happening to multiple people at least probably makes the guys feel less awful?)

I’m so curious if any of these OG couples last. Shannon and Josh have chemistry, but, yes, it does feel like she’s going to break his heart. I was kind of hoping Christian and Cashay might surprise us given how sweet he was to her and how much she appreciated him talking up her natural look, but given his kiss to someone else in the game…

CARD SHARKS: Christine and Justice gambled a lot more than I would have expected. (And, yes, I know how odd that sounds given the premise of the game.) Like, when Justice got a 7 on a free turn, and you’ve already turned over a number of cards, pause?!?
