STAR TREK: PRODIGY Reveals Main Title Sequence, First Look at John Noble and Jimmi Simpson’s Villains

Ahead of STAR TREK: PRODIGY’s fall debut on Paramount+, the streaming service revealed the main title sequence from the animated series.

“I am excited that I had the opportunity to write the main theme for Kevin and Dan [Hageman]’s latest project, and as always am thrilled to be a part of the STAR TREK family,” said composer Michael Giacchino in a statement. “I’m especially looking forward to everyone hearing the incredible work of composer Nami Melumad, who will take the reins of scoring the episodes. Not only is she extremely talented, she is a true STAR TREK fan.”

The duo’s relationship is “very dismissive in what we’ve seen so far,” Noble told reporters at a Television Critics Association panel for the series. “Diviner needs [Drednok]…Diviner still has the authority role, and plays it. And that’s all I can sense at this stage. There might be more to it than that. And having a conflict is always great; that’s the nature of drama. So there is conflict, and that’s a good thing.”

“Drednok is there to serve,” added Simpson. “He’s kind of like Maximilian in THE BLACK HOLE, if he was was a bit more verbose. Crossing maybe Maximilian with HAL [from 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY]. And yet he has one goal in his robot life, and that’s to serve The Diviner.”

And while the actors didn’t record together, Simpson noted “with the way Dan, Kevin, and [the team] brought us together, virtually, it was like I was there with [John] in the room.”
