Seal Team season 5 premiere spoilers

“Trust, But Verify: Part 1” – Everyone on Bravo is shocked when they learn a training exercise is really cover for a covert mission to get a weapons expert out of one of the most dangerous countries in the world, on the fifth season premiere of SEAL TEAM, Sunday, Oct. 10 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. SEAL TEAM is back on Sunday, October 10 on CBS (for the first of four episodes before it moves to its new home at Paramount+), and the stakes are higher than ever: “We’re going to the most dangerous country in the world,” executive producer Spencer Hudnut teases.

Unfortunately for Bravo Team, it comes at an unusual time for their group.

“[The season premiere] finds them about three months after the end of season 4,” Hudnut previews. “The team has been kind of scattered about, effectively, in a training cycle. They haven’t really been together.”

For Clay (Max Thieriot) and Stella (Alona Tal), who got married at the end of last season, “they’re still in the honeymoon phase,” Hudnut teases. “Sonny has been off training in Texas [so he can be close to his child].”

But it hasn’t all been joy: “Ray, in particular, has been training on his own, away from the team, both in language school, but also, most importantly, he’s been dealing with his own issues that he finally was able to confront at the end of season 4,” Hudnut says. “So the Bravo team really hasn’t been together since we left them.”

As a result, the group thinks they’re going on a training operation…only to find out the real story about what’s going on.  “This big mission that they get spun up on really brings them back together,” Hudnut says. “In seasons past, they have been together, training, and are a well-oiled machine. This is throwing them back together after a long break.”
