ABC Teases Premieres of THE ROOKIE, ABBOTT ELEMENTARY, THE GOLDBERGS, and More

THE ROOKIE – “Enervo” – The team alongside the LA Division of the FBI are in a race to stop bombs that have been scattered throughout the city by a suspected terrorist. Meanwhile, the joint task force is suspicious of the CIA’s involvement in the situation, on an all-new episode of “The Rookie,” SUNDAY, MAY 1 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC/Raymond Liu)

ABC has teased the first of its season premieres, with scripted shows returning on Wednesday, September 21 (including the comedy block, plus newly-moved BIG SKY).

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 21

8:00-8:30 p.m. – THE CONNERS: TBA (Season Premiere)

8:30-9:00 p.m. – THE GOLDBERGS: “If You Build It” (1001) (Season Premiere)

With everyone living back at home, the house is full of Goldberg chaos and also … Goldberg stuff, which is driving pregnant Erica bonkers and leads her to enlist Beverly’s help in clearing things out for the baby. Meanwhile, Adam and Barry are forced to share a bedroom to make room for the baby nursery. Adam can’t handle how insufferable Barry is, so he comes up with the ultimate prank to get back at him. (TV-PG-L)

9:00-9:31 p.m. – ABBOTT ELEMENTARY: “Development Day” (201) (Season Premiere)

The teachers are back at Willard R. Abbott Public School for development week, a time to prepare for the upcoming year before the students’ first day of school. Post-breakup, Janine is determined to start the year off right and leave her problems at home. With this new outlook, she takes on organizing the faculty mixer and announces a special celebrity surprise she planned for the kids’ first day. Meanwhile, Ava runs a side hustle out of the school parking lot and Gregory, now a full-time teacher, is in over his head with the curriculum. (TV-PG, DL)

9:31-10:00 p.m. – HOME ECONOMICS: “Mickey Ears, $19.99” (301) (Season Premiere)

Tom finds out that Connor is his new boss, which threatens to ruin Marina’s perfectly planned trip to the Happiest Place on Earth – Disneyland Resort in California. (TV-PG)

10:00-11:00 p.m. – BIG SKY: “Do You Love An Apple” (301) (Season Premiere)

It’s been a few months of relative peace in Helena, but all that’s about to change when Sunny Barnes and her family set up Sunny Day Excursions just outside of town. From the moment they arrive, things begin to go awry, with Cassie being called in to investigate a missing backpacker and the new sheriff in town, Beau, partnering up with Jenny to track down a murderer on the loose. A mountainous mystery begins to unravel for Cassie Dewell and Jenny Hoyt on the season premiere. (TV-14, LV)

Meanwhile, officers Bradford and Chen work undercover with Detective Lopez and the Las Vegas Police Department to arrest leaders of a major criminal enterprise. (TV-14)

TUESDAY, SEPT. 27

8:00-10:00 p.m. – BACHELOR IN PARADISE: “801” (801) (Season Premiere)

10:00-11:00 p.m. – THE ROOKIE: FEDS: “Day One” (101) (Series Premiere)

Fresh out of the FBI Academy, Simone Clark arrives in Los Angeles and has her sights set on joining Matthew Garza’s newly formed special unit as they investigate the murder of a federal engineer. Garza’s squad includes Carter Hope, a promotion-hungry traditionalist, Laura Stenson, a talented agent in desperate need of a second chance, and Brendon Acres, a former actor who graduated from Quantico with Simone. On the home front, Simone and Cutty’s father-daughter relationship is put to the test as their opposing opinions about law enforcement come to a head. (TV-14)

Guest starring is Nathan Fillion as John Nolan and Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez.



THURSDAY, OCT. 6

8:00-9:00 p.m. – STATION 19: “Twist and Shout” (601) (Season Premiere) 

The Station 19 crew jumps into action as a violent tornado rips through Seattle. Amidst the chaos, the team makes a shocking discovery buried under a tree, and Travis’ first responder instincts kick into high gear at a political event.

9:00-10:01 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY: “Everything has Changed” (1901) (Season Premiere) 

After a long six months, Grey Sloan Memorial has reinstated its residency program. A group of talented and striving young interns has been recruited as the attending surgeons work to rebuild the program to its former glory. Meredith, still functioning as the interim chief, sees Nick for the first time since she rejected his offer to move to Minnesota. Meanwhile, Bailey tells Richard she is not ready to return to work; Levi works up the courage to break disappointing news to Jo, and things turn awkward when Link realizes he has met one of the interns already. With Amelia and Maggie’s help, the new doctors are thrown into their first day on the job dealing with injuries from a recent tornado.

10:01-11:00 p.m. – ALASKA DAILY: “Pilot” (101) (Series Premiere)
