THE EQUALIZER: Tory Kittles Previews Dante’s Reunion with His Father

As some of Robyn’s (Queen Latifah) closest friends and family get together for a big dinner in “Blowback,” the Sunday, November 13 episode of THE EQUALIZER, one key member of the team will be off dealing with his own familial drama.

“Dante’s father reaches out from prison to share some impending news with him,” Tory Kittles (Dante) previews to Give Me My Remote via email. “News that could change the dynamics of his entire family.”

As Dante grapples with the new information, in the aftermath, “he searches for friendly ears to listen to his predicament and help him consider his options on how best to handle this situation,” Kittles teases.

Of course, this is far from Dante’s only trouble burdening him, as the detective is still trying to deal with the lingering impact of his kidnapping earlier in the year. “We get inside Dante’s head a lot,” THE EQUALIZER co-showrunner Joseph C. Wilson previously teased.

In “Blowback,” “we also see Dante visiting a place that has been dear to him since childhood, as he tries to work through some of the trauma he’s been carrying,” Kittles says. “But that doesn’t go the way he’d planned. Things are beginning to pile on him even more in this week’s episode.”
