CRIMINAL MINDS: EVOLUTION: Aisha Tyler Previews a ‘Tougher, More Hardened’ Lewis

When CRIMINAL MINDS returns with new revival CRIMINAL MINDS: EVOLUTION (streaming on Paramount+ beginning on Thursday, November 24), things are very different for the agents.

“The BAU has been shut down, and so our agents don’t have the same resources they had before,” Aisha Tyler, who plays Tara Lewis, teased to reporters in the video below. “They don’t have their jet, they don’t have…Garcia handling everything. And they’ve really had to do more with much less.”

For Lewis, who is on the road, “she’s been working and sleeping in her car, occasionally staying at roadside motels, meeting in diners,” Tyler previewed. “She hasn’t cut her hair since the beginning of the pandemic, she has really been devoted to the work. And so you’re going to see a tougher, more hardened kind of field agent in Lewis. But also someone who has developed these other skills around her forensic abilities that are going to make her a better profiler.”
