FBI, THE ROOKIE, FBI: MOST WANTED

“The Lies We Tell” – When an off-duty diplomatic security agent is fatally shot in New York City trying to apprehend someone, the team investigates if there’s a connection to his time working in Croatia, on the CBS Original series FBI, Tuesday, Feb. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

FBI: It may be too soon for me to be able to lose myself in an episode about a more dangerous strand of COVID…

I like that Maggie could push back against Isobel’s decision to use a deep fake video to help with the case, because oh my God, that technology remains so absolutely terrifying.

I do feel bad for Isobel ending the night alone—blowing off her date (???) and her colleagues and drinking alone. It makes sense she’d need to wallow, because it was still a tough win, and she has to live with what she did. But I hope next time she can open up to someone.

THE ROOKIE: We were so, so close to being done with Elijah. Now…zero faith it’s over. But oh my God, when he said he was going to punch Lopez and her unborn baby?!?! (Wesley truly will never shut up about helping to take out a hitman. I can’t wait.)

I’m so fascinated by how fast the show has made Tim and Lucy super serious. It makes sense they wouldn’t—and couldn’t—be casual, but they’re talking about their kids?! They’ve been together like two months. (I mean, it’s absolutely precious. As was them babysitting the Make-a-Wish kid. But it makes me a little nervous we’re getting this much so fast.)

I feel so awful for Celina. I hope she can find some peace and resolution.

AMERICAN AUTO: The men trying to figure out how and to what extent employees should have abortion coverage was just the right levels of insane. (As was the clear sign these humans have no idea about what women go through with pregnancy or abortions.) The hotel negotiations! Edible Arrangements!

And the younger women turning on each other for their excusing problematic things if they liked it (and claiming they could separate the art from the artist)…absolutely hilarious mess. Yeah, Katherine’s answers could be better, and I don’t blame the employees for being frustrated, but Dori using her knowledge to cause mayhem? Funny as hell.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL: I really loved this episode, and all the twists that were in store. Every character got to have a moment to shine, and the show sprinkled in Jamie’s new relationship, too. This was up there with one of my favorite episodes of the show.

(But, also, my god, Ben made Jamie DONUTS. That’s so sweet??? But I will admit I was worried he was hiding an ex or other girlfriend when she heard the arguing going on.)

FBI: MOST WANTED: ABSOLUTELY NOT with the PSYCHO-like killing. Nope. Nope, nope, nope.

It was a very, very, very twisted episode?? Like, this show is not a generally light show, but my God. It went from PSYCHO to MISERY.

It’ll be interesting to see how the true crime show comes into play later in the season, especially as Remy’s brother’s possible killer might be a factor. It feels like Remy is being primed, potentially, to be absolutely stabbed in the back—I hope I’m wrong.
