AMERICAN IDOL will pay tribute to Mandisa—a season 5 contestant—on Monday, April 29, the show announced. The singer died on April 18 at the age of 47.

“Mandisa was an adored icon on AMERICAN IDOL and in the music industry,” the show said in a statement. “She had become a platinum-selling artist and had won several Grammys for her music. Her passing has left everyone on the show heartbroken, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family.”

Update, Sunday, April 28 (6:30 PM PT):
IDOL vets Colton Dixon, Melinda Doolittle, and Danny Gokey will perform “Shackles” by Mary Mary in tribute to Mandisa.

Update (6:00 PM PT): Additionally, AMERICAN IDOL runner-up David Archuleta will perform his new single, “Hell Together,” on the Monday, April 22 episode, which will focus on “Billboard #1 Hits.” Meghan Trainor will serve as the mentor for the Top 12 in the same episode.

Update (6:25 PM PT): Jon Bon Jovi—whose new Hulu docuseries, THANK YOU, GOODNIGHT: THE BON JOVI STORY, drops on Hulu on Friday, April 26—will serve as the guest mentor for the Top 3 on the Sunday, May 19 “Grand Finale” episode. (The contestants will also sing Bon Jovi songs.)
