Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

BEAT SHAZAM: It was nice seeing teachers compete, even if it felt pretty lopsided, game-wise.

I really hoped they wouldn’t take the gamble with the final song since they seemed to be leaning in that direction, and ouch at him being so wrong…but I guess the bright side was they both were, and if she had been the one competing, she still would have been technically wrong since she put an extra word in the song title. (But also, my God, “My Generation” was literally in the lyrics!!)

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: Aw, it was mean to buzz the dancer. He was not great, but I wish they had let him finish in peace.

Congrats to the dude who abused his body, but my GOD NO. I couldn’t look, either, and can’t imagine I’ll fare better as he moves through the competition.

I really, really loved the two Golden Buzzer acts; the judges have used their buzzers well so far. (Though I’m confused if this was a ~big production change~ that wasn’t planned, why they didn’t make sure to air this first? These are less splashy Golden Buzzers, for sure, but it would explain the rule change versus showing us a week after the show premiered with the new changes?)

I will say the team needs to figure out how to better shoot the drones going forward because we didn’t see enough of the act itself. I understand it cannot be easy (and you want to show the judges/crowd being blown away), but it felt like I didn’t see enough.

QUIZ WITH BALLS: Oh, I laughed at the poor contestant falling in even though she got the right answer. And, yikes, another bad final round. Is this going to be the norm?

PASSWORD: How did they not get accent as a clue immediately?!?! Johnny Knoxville was a shockingly good player, though.
