About Last Night…MASTERCHEF: GENERATIONS, GORDON RAMSAY’S FOOD STARS, and LOVE ISLAND USA

Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

MASTERCHEF: GENERATIONS: The interesting thing that got pointed out here was a thing I’ve thought about with a lot of the chefs/cooks who go viral: So much of that appeal is what things look like versus how they taste. And we saw them point out how Gen Z focuses on the visual in the judging…it’s certainly not the first time the generations have competed against each other in the show (though this is the first time it’s been so blatant), but it’ll be interesting if it becomes a thing this season.

GORDON RAMSAY’S FOOD STARS: Do you know how bad Team Vanderpump’s presentation had to be to lose? Team Ramsay forgot to include the bun and bacon in their ingredients for THEIR BACON BURGER. That should have automatically doomed them. But, man, the shrimp skewer was a mess. Ambitious! But way too much for what the actual assignment was. And, yeah, team leader Peri seemed to disappear, so it made sense Lisa cut her.

LOVE ISLAND USA: The bad: Matt and Liv are a hot mess, my God. The lack of chemistry was painful. And, yes, it could absolutely be editing, but the fact he kept saying, “Yeah, she’s hot, but we have absolutely nothing in common”…felt so apparent. The good? Uh, I think I love Rob and Leah. Maybe it’ll change, but right now it’s so clear they want to be together and they’re being freaking adorable about trying to spend time together.

Okay, but the girls sneaking around was so laugh-out-loud funny. (But congrats to them on being stealthy in those outfits and heels.)
