Forget about the psychic stuff, Medium is the most genuine portrayal of a marriage on tv right now. Everything about the relationship between Alison and Joe, and the kids too, it completely realistic; you feel like you know them, they could be the family down the block.

I think there are plenty of reasons why anyone should watch “Medium.” The main reason that I’ve heard against it is that people aren’t into the creepy paranormal stuff. However, when you watch the show, that’s not what you think of. I never find myself saying “Yeah right” when Allison dreams. I think the show is so intriguing and well-acted that those thoughts just never occur.

One of the things that makes the show seem so real is the family dynamic of it. Allison’s relationship with her husband, Joe, is always so amazing to watch. They are a real-life couple who fight and make up, and never over anything silly. All three of their children are great, too. The bond that these five people share is moving and can be humorous at times, too. Allison is a flawed character, which is what makes this show different from so many others on TV. She makes mistakes, trying to do what is best for her family. A really good episode dealing with family is from season three, “Second Opinion,” where Allison dreams that her daughter, Marie, is going to die of cancer in twenty years.

“Medium” is a show that is made much better by the actors. They bring everything to life and show you what these characters really have to deal with. You often see Allison struggle with her dreams, either not being able to understand them or just dealing with the fact that she’s having them. Patricia Arquette really brings her to life, enabling us to not just see Allison, but we can really empathize with her. Jake Weber is also fantastic as Joe, who consistently tries to find a balance between his work, children, and his wife’s dreams. All of the actors deserve any award given to them!

Going from season three, my favorite episode I think is “We Had A Dream.” I found my jaw literally dropping at multiple moments during the episode. Another one that I liked is “The Boy Next Door.” It shows Allison as a girl when she starts having her dreams. This one wasn’t really scary or anything, but it was incredibly interesting.

After writing all this out, I hope that you consider watching Season 4. It’s bound to get a lot more interesting, considering *spoiler* the public is going to find out about Allison’s abilities! An already amazing show I think is only going to get better!

Medium is the smartest written, best acted show on television. It is simultaneously funny, smart, happy, sad, heartbreaking and heartwarming! Anyone who lost their favorite show over the past year (Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Arrested Development, etc.) should take a chance and fall in love with Medium 🙂

There are many reasons on why people should watch medium, a great example is because patricia Arquette is a great actress and does a fantastic potrayal as allison dubois, her chemistry with jake webber( joe Dubois) is very convincing and you would actaully believe they are a real couple. Medium is alot like csi or crime shows but is unique as she can communicate with the dead and sees the future through her dreams. Medium is also sooooo great due to the humour it uses which is very funny on the sarcasm it uses and how Allison and Joe communicate to one another. Allisopns 3 young daughters also make the show so good because they have the abilaty to communicate with the dead and in “mothers little helper” we see Ariel help her mother.
Medium differs from many other shows because of the many shocking episodes their is and each episode gets better and better. Medium ius also basd on a real medium who also consults with episodes which makes the episodes even better.
If your loojking trough tv dont watch ghost whisperer and stick with patricia Arquttes glorious acting 🙂
