BONES Exclusive First Look: The Neck with the Necklace Featurette

September 2, 2010 by

Ever wonder where Brennan’s rocking necklaces came from?

Whether she is in the lab, in the field, undercover, or just relaxing, distinctive jewelry has always been a big part of Brennan’s look.

To prep for the upcoming sixth season premiere, FOX has produced a “Know Your BONES” featurette on Brennan’s bold jewelry — and GIVE ME MY REMOTE has your exclusive first look at the segment.

In the clip below, key costumer Kate Lindsay and BONES star Emily Deschanel discuss Brennan’s jewelry, highlighting some memorable pieces that she has worn throughout the first five years.

Check it out…

I love all the details in Brennan’s Wanda necklace, don’t you?

P.S.- You are all fans of BONES on Facebook and Twitter, right? If not…what are you waiting for?!

  12. Alysson on September 2nd, 2010 10:02 pm

Canada cries. Why America? Why must you hurt us in this way? We give you lumber and Maple Syrup and Bacon! And what do we receive in return? Nothing but videos that cannot be viewed! You better watch your step.. or guess who’s taking Ryan Reynolds back? And with him – Scarlett Johansson. yea. think about it.

  13. Lynn on September 2nd, 2010 10:14 pm

I agree with Alysson, why can’t your neighbours to the north watch the videos, I’m sure that we’d let you watch ours!!

  14. Kath (GMMR) on September 2nd, 2010 10:21 pm

So it seems that more people can’t see this vid than can…how about making it available for all regions?? What on earth’s wrong with that idea???

  17. Amanda on September 3rd, 2010 12:32 am

… and here I was annoyed that I couldn’t make the screen bigger!
But the necklaces are great, I’ve always loved the jewelry in this show.

  18. Bonesfan47 on September 3rd, 2010 2:51 am

Love this video and I do love that necklace from The Foot in the Foreclosure that was a great necklace I would love to buy it and wear it :)

  19. Cheryl on September 3rd, 2010 3:03 am

I love making my own jewelry and really like the unique & eclectic nature of the pieces that were created for the show. I am enamoured with the wonderful tool laden workshop that the jewelry was created in…..How Do I Get A Jewelry Workshop Like That?!…What Fun I Would Have!

  20. Eleanor Balladares on September 3rd, 2010 3:09 am

Copies of the necklaces she wears would sell like hotcakes. Much better than “Lost” bobble heads! Have you considered making “Bones Bead Kits”? For sale on line or in craft stores?

  21. Jo on September 3rd, 2010 8:28 am

Can’t see it in the UK either. Is it available for viewing on YouTube, or does it come with the same region-specific setting so that non-US folk can’t see it there either??

  22. norah on September 3rd, 2010 8:37 am

ican’t see vid either and am in scotland

  23. Dayna on September 3rd, 2010 9:11 am

I can’t see the video here in South Korea but I remember always commenting to my girlfriends about her jewelry. I even hinted to my boyfriend that Dr. Brennan’s style was close to my own so he would have an idea for Christmas, haha. I just love her pieces, and I can sometimes remember episodes or seasons just by them alone, haha. I love watching Bones, it is so well layered and the details the put into each character really pop! I hope they do an article with David Boreanes(sp?) and his character Booth’s belts and socks, I love his rooster belt!!!

How about getting a transcription posted for all of your foreign friends? I’m an ex-pat living abroad and I love this show! As do many other people living in other countries. It sucks that we can’t watch the video (and you totally have the technology to fix that little oversight), but to add insult to injury we get to read about how interesting and insightful the piece is without ever getting to find out what you say!! ARGH!!!!! Half an hour of some intern’s time is not too much to ask, is it?

  25. Kath (GMMR) on September 3rd, 2010 2:16 pm

@JT and others…who are you addressing your complaints to? We were kindly given this video to share by Fox. We don’t control the usage rights.

  26. Darlene on September 3rd, 2010 2:30 pm

I love her necklaces (and earrings) so much, I’ve started looking for and buying similar ones. I’ve gotten a couple really great ones.

  27. Kathy Williams on September 3rd, 2010 6:01 pm

AND I thought I was the only one who honed in on her awesome bold pieces – especially with turquoise!!!

  28. Alex J. on September 9th, 2010 8:08 pm

I just bought a necklace that I LOVE that reminds me of a piece Bones would wear! It was on:

If you’d like to see some awesome necklaces similar to the pieces worn on Bones, visit http://www.dorjedesigns.com. My wife has been making jewelry like this before Bones hit the airwaves. Even some of the models in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue wore them. Enjoy!

  31. jennifer saling on January 6th, 2012 9:33 pm

I too love the necklaces and the show. It has inspired me to make my own. And for all of you abroad that can’t see the video….I am in the US and can’t see it. Go figure. The hottest show going and we can’t tap in…. still love it though.
