The funniest moment of tonight’s EMMY awards had to be when Stephen Colbert & Jon Stewart announced the award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series to EXTRAS star Ricky Gervais. But since Gervais wasn’t there they decided to give the award to their buddy Steve Carell of THE OFFICE. I’m working on getting the video right now, but until then, here’s the moment captured on film.

    Completely agree! Ever since I found out that Jon and Stephen were presenting this award, I was anticipating them giving it to Steve so we could have a Daily Show reunion. I’m glad that it happened anyway! I love those three togther. Somewhat helps ease the pain of Steve not actually winning, though he has to win one of these years!

    Yep, probably my “highlight” moment of the show. And, it was during a Ricky Gervais win which, if it couldn’t be Steve, still made complete sense in the Office-verse.

    As soon as I heard who was presenting, I couldn’t wait. I loved that moment and it was one of the best of the show!

    I can’t belive I sat through 2 hours of this show…and then finally had to leave my viewing location…and then missed this!! Thank you for posting it….its better than coffee for a pick me up!!

    oh man- please don’t tease me….if the cast of “the office” hosted the awards, i would have to be in complete lockdown in my house, haha…no interruptions (as opposed to last night, where i was only in lockdown during the best show award & jenna’s category- and yes, it’s still hers)

    Best. Clip. Ever. And it never fails to amuse me how utterly tiny Jon is when he doesn’t have a desk to hide behind!
