The Office to Visit The Office

The Office Visits The Office

Ok, I am kind of flipping out right now. DuckyxDale just brought my attention to an excerpt from TVGuide.com which claims that some of the cast of the UK version of The Office will be appearing on the US version of The Office. I can’t…I just can’t.

Tim and Jim in the same scene. My TV might just blow up from that kind of perfection!! Dwight Schrute battling it out with Gareth Keenan for kiss ass of the year? If done right, this could be the funniest TV epsiode EVER!!!

Here’s what TVGuide.com had to say.

Per the New York Post, exec producer Ben Silverman says that cast members from the British comedy The Office will put in an appearance on NBC version this season. Silverman did not reveal any plot points or whether the actors will reprise their own Office roles, but did say that Wernham Hogg boss man Ricky Gervais will not be among the cameos: “We’re going to save the big man for now.”

I’m going to contact Jenna, BJ and the rest of The Office gang to see if I can get any details, or at least a confirmation.

UPDATE: I just got an email from Executive Producer/Writer/Actor, Paul Lieberstein (aka Toby). He said “there are availability issues, so we’ll see. We’re talking about it, though.”

Hey…that’s something!!
So this is what Cloud 9 feels like.

Wow, if this is actually true I think my head is going to explode because of how awesome it is!

Think we should start a petition for a supersized episode for that one?

This is so totally awesome!!! Jim and Tim… yay! I’m picturing their scene right now… Michael is being a complete jerk and both Jim and Tim looks at the camera, at the same time, and make an awesome facial expression then look at eachother cause they are thinking the same thing. Soo cool!

I can also see this happening…Michael and David out doing eachother. I mean they both could be doing the same thing and be appauld by eachothers behaviors. Or…totally understand one another. OHH there are so many possibilities!

I hope the UK cast appears as their characters cuz that would be so cool. “Dwight meet Garth…”

[…] Looks like the British “The Office” is going to cameo on the American “The Office”. The synergistic effect of that much comedy “crossing streams” -as it were- could destroy the universe. Or else you might pee in your pants.(GMMR) […]

Bringing the two casts together might almost be like making your spaceship go Ludicrous Speed and then pressing the stop button without slowing down first.

There’s no way to predict what might happen.

Ha ha, Brain, that is true. Better buckle in for that episode.

Just like the above comments, i, too, am super psyched that the UK Office cast will be making cameos and the fangirl in me squeals w/ glee that Tim and Jim just might be sharing the same screen. Oh my goodness, that would be absolutely wonderful (especially considering that they’re both geniuses when it comes to facial expressions)! And David Brent. I know they’re saving him, but when and if he cameos…all hell will break loose. Michael won’t know what hit him, and neither will anyone else in the office (that is, if the UK Office cast plays their original roles from their series).

I would love to see this. I’ll be 100% honest with you, I like the US version of the show MUCH better than the UK version (personal pref, don’t attack me). But I’d really like to see this cross over.

You get emails from Paul AKA Toby?!?!

Did you ever know that you’re my hero?

  10. Brian on July 10th, 2006 8:21 pm

She’s the wind beneath all our wings, Julie.

Well, to be fair, she became my hero when she interviewed JDoh.

If GMMR is any version of Bette Midler or a Bette song, she’s crazy Barbara Stone in “Down and Out in Beverly Hills…”
