Ed Helms is NOT Andy Bernard - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

Ed Helms is NOT Andy Bernard

January 30, 2007 by

Ed Helms portrays Andy Bernard on The OfficeLucky for us, Ed Helms is nothing like Andy Bernard, the pompous- a capella singing – frat boy-kiss ass he portrays on The Office. While we might not see Andy for a while (he’s in anger management training, but he’ll be back) the folks at MeeVee were lucky enough to catch up with Ed and get answers to some very important questions such as…

Who came up with “Big Tuna”?
I wish I could take credit for it, but Greg Daniels [wrote it], in the first episode of the season. I’m very happy about it, because it automatically puts me in character. You know only Andy would be like, “T’sup, Big Tuna?” It totally puts me there.

How have The Office fans been treating you?
What, you mean since Andy turned evil?

What do you mean turned evil?
He’s always been kind of a douchebag, but a likable douchebag. I’ve just gotten such a warm response from so many people, across the board.

I refuse to do business with Edd Helms Group. I hate predatory URL thieves. Great interview. And great clip collage.

I love Ed Helms. I think he’s very talented. I did like Andy until he made Dwight quit. Hopefully this anger management class will do him good and karma will get even with him. I’d like to see Ed Helms back on the show. (Plus I’d really love to see Jim and Pam break Andy’s brain again!!!)

That’s an awesome interview, I love Andy on the show. I just heard that he’s been made a cast regular which is great news!
