BIG BROTHER Recap and Spoilers: Game On

August 17, 2007 by

BIG BROTHER rocks my world!! Did you see last night’s show? Holy toledo…now that was some good reality TV. Let’s get to the recap because there is a lot to discuss. I want to warn you that there are a few spoilers from this past week’s live feeds, but no spoilers for events that happened after last night’s live show.

Previously on BIG BROTHER…
Dick and Daniele were on the block for eviction. Dick won the POV and opted to save his daughter rather than himself. Jessica was left to pick a replacement nominee. Dustin had previously offered to go on the block and be the pawn, and Jessica took him up on the offer. Little did he know that Jess wasn’t 100% sure she wanted Dick to leave the house.

House Happenings…
So I’m just going to skip to the good stuff. America’s player, Eric, was told that he had to vote out Dustin this week. Eric was pretty pissed but he knew what he needed to do and wasted no time. Eric immediately went up to the HOH room and started planting doubt in Jessica’s mind about Dustin. Eric, under the guise of playing devil’s advocate, listed all the benefits to Dick staying and Dustin leaving. Jessica is easily swayed but this didn’t take too much convincing because she had been quietly hoping that Dick stayed in the house all along.

Dick and Eric have a few quiet conversations about strategy. Dick proposed a deal with Eric – Eric and Jessica vote to keep Dick in the house this week and in exchange Dick promised that he and Dani would keep Eric and Jessica off the block. The four of them would work together to go after Amber, Jameka, Zach and Jen (not necessarily in that order).

Eric questioned Dick’s deal and asked how he could trust that Dick wouldn’t turn around and give Eric a big old FU and put him immediately on the block. Dick gave his word that that wouldn’t happen. Eric professed his loyalty to Jessica and said that whatever deal he made she was part of it and she was and will be her first priority. Dick agreed and the two guys went off to discuss the proposed deal with their partners.

Dani wasn’t as pleased as I thought she would be. She even said that she would go along with the deal but still screw Eric over and put him on the block. This didn’t go over well with Dick who said that they can’t do that because he gave his word to Eric (which actually impressed me…for now). Dani still doesn’t trust Eric, but she knows her father is her safety net and she needs him in this house. Jessica was definitely more open to the deal. Could this really be happening?

Zach is still under the illusion that he is a player in this game. Jessica finally agrees to a “date” with Zach but she just wants to talk strategy. Zach tells her that his vote is hers. He promised to vote out Dick and he will keep his word unless Jess wants him to vote out Dustin…which she might just want him to do.

Amber, Jameka and Dustin are oblivious to all of this.

Creepy people in the house…
As all this is going on, the houseguests wake up one morning to see a little person dressed as the Mad Hatter running around their house repeating small riddles. Later in the backyard they were greeted by a barbershop quartet and a creepy guy on stilts. Back inside the house they found bunnies with little playing cards around their necks. I was creeped out beyond belief watching this and I would have freaked out if I were in the house. The little person running all around the house was just…ugh. (I mean no offense to little people, it was just the way this guy was acting).

Everyone in the house knew that all these strange occurrences had to do with the upcoming HOH challenge but they had no idea what to make of it all. They spent the entire week trying to figure out the riddles left my their new houseguests. More on this later.

Eviction Night…
Let’s just skip right to the live eviction vote, shall we? An unsure Dick and a cocky Dustin shared the couch for the final time. Would Eric and Jessica hold up their end of the deal and keep Dick or was he just getting played, again? Would Zach and Jen side with the HOH or stick with their word to keep Dustin? One by one the houseguests gave their live vote to the Chen-bot.

In a vote of 4-2 Dustin was evicted from the Big Brother house. HOT DAMN this is a good show!!!
Needless to say that he was shocked…really shocked. As were Amber and Jameka. I was a wee bit disappointed that Amber didn’t have a mental breakdown on live TV (although she did cry twice during the live broadcast). I wanted her to completely spazz out. But I don’t think she could cry when “oh my god I’m a sitting duck” had to be playing over and over again in her head.

The HOH Competition…
The stunned houseguests head outside for the HOH competition. The tension is palpable and I love it!! Tonight’s game is True or False and all the question pertained, as suspected, to the interesting houseguests who visited earlier in the week. It was a relatively quick game and it came down to Amber and Daniele. Dani won the HOH for the second time in the game, and Amber probably cried.

So that’s that…
I’m so loving this show right now. Eric absolutely blew me away with his game play this week. He completely ruled that house and proved that although he might be shady he knows how to play the game. Wow, color me impressed. So not only is Eric running the Big Brother house (at least for now) but he’s also getting the girl (although he’s still clueless on that one). He’s so caught up in game play that he doesn’t even recognize Jessica’s flirtatious ways. Although I suspect that Eric is convinced that he would never get a girl like Jess in real life so he’s not even trying. But in the live broadcast Jessica admitted to Julie that there could be something between them outside of the house. Interesting…it will never happen but interesting all the same.

What did you think of what happened? Are you loving or hating Eric right now? Who do you think Dani will nominate for eviction this week?

Eric gives me to oogs but I can’t not admit he is doing pretty well considering America keeps screwing him over. This show is getting very interesting! I wanted Dick gone but have to say, I loved the look on Dustin’s face when they said he was going home. And Amber just sitting there about to have a meltdown. I would love for them to let Jamika stew for a few weeks (she is worthless anyway with no HOH) and put up Amber and Eric. That was Eric can’t vote and the new allience can be tested!

I LOVED the turn of events last night. It was really interesting because Dick really didn’t know if trusting Eric and Jessica was a good thing and Dustin had no idea that there was a chance that he’d get booted. LOVED IT.

And I’m also pretty happy that Daniele will get to spend her birthday as HOH. Her 21st birthday at that! Great way to celebrate!

I realy think this Dick, Daniele, Jessica, Eric group is going to run it to the end, and I’m pretty OK with that! I had ALMOST given up watching after last week and the DR playing a role in keeping Eric… but I’m back! yay!

It was really interesting to watch Big Brother After Dark last night. They all seemed happy and got along and such. Jameka even joked around with Dick. And Erik in Jessica’s dress was FANTASTIC!

Last night’s episode was fantastic! When Zach and Jessica went in the room to vote, I kept repeating “Please say Dustin! Please say Dustin!” HA, that was awesome!

My guess is that America will vote for Eric to get Jessica put on the block just to mess them up. What do you guys think?
