Paris Hilton in the BIG BROTHER House?

Paris Hilton in the BIG BROTHER House?Don’t get too excited…we aren’t going to be seeing Paris and Dick anytime soon (well unless she releases another sex tape of course). Paris Hilton is in talks to join the BIG BROTHER house, but lucky (or unlucky) for us, it’s the Celebrity version of Big Brother in the UK.

According to The Sun, Paris and the producers are in “firm talks” after the show’s producers told Paris to name her price to appear. Paris supposedly is open to the idea and sees it as an opportunity to show the world she’s much more than a “heirhead socialite” .

If all things work out, Paris will be paid supposedly $600,000 to live in the house for three weeks.

I’ve gone on record many time as saying that I’m anti-Paris. But I’m kind if intrigued to see how she would deal in the house. Personally, I’d like to see her on a non-celebrity edition, and just living in alongside “normal people”. Now that would be some quality TV. I mean, for fans of the current Big Brother US show, tell me you wouldn’t be watching the live feeds 24/7 if Paris Hilton were confined in a house with “Evil Dick” Donato.

And another Happy Monday to all you GMMRers out there. I hope you had a wonderful weekend…I know I did. But it’s back to real life today, and back to some human-like weather (New Orleans is like a giant sauna).

Here’s a few shows that you might want to check out tonight. What are you watching?

MeeVee RecommendsThe Hills
MTV’s real-life soap continues: Audrina has to decide whether she wants to stay with Justin, while Heidi Montag begins to feel cold feet about her engagement with Spencer Pratt.

My BoysMy Boys
A dormant romance might spark back to life for PJ when an ex-suitor (Jeremy Sisto), a war correspondent, blows through the Windy City. In other developments, Mike struggles to find a job and resorts to working for Kenny.

MeeVee RecommendsGreek
As a demanding week of midterm exams approaches, Rusty considers a sure-fire way to keep his grades up while not missing out on the fun at the Kappa house. Meanwhile, sparks fly when Casey and Cappie are paired on a school project.

Kristen Bell Joins Cast of HEROES

Kristen Bell Joins Cast of HEROES

A girl leaves her computer for a few hours and some major MAJOR casting scoop is unloaded.  I can’t believe I’m typing this, but it has been confirmed that Kristin Bell is joining the cast of HEROES.

According to Variety, the former star of VERONICA MARS will be joining the show for a multi-episode arc playing Elle “a sexy, mysterious young lady who has ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and the future of Claire. Elle will kick off her arc by committing a serious crime, though it’s unclear whether she’s good or bad.”

Kristen Bell has been in hot demand since it was announced that Veronica Mars wasn’t picked up by The CW.  Most recently Bell was courted the the producers of LOST, but she turned down the offer saying citing she didn’t want to move to Hawaii, where the show is filmed.

So just how did NBC snag Ms. Bell? “This was not easy to pull off,” said “Heroes” creator-exec producer Tim Kring. “But since we’re an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in (Bell’s) schedule.”

Like I wasn’t already super excited about the second season of HEREOS…this news is just out of control.

Dominic Purcell, Me and Amaury Nolasco, August 19, 2007

I’m winding down on my fabulous weekend here in New Orleans for Fox’s K-VILLE premiere party. Tons of great scoop on the K-Ville along with a bunch of great photos of the series stars including Anthony Anderson, Cole Hauser and Tawny Cypress. With all my traveling it might take me a little time to get everything posted, but I will get to it as soon as I can.

But before I went to bed I had to post this great shot I got with Dominic Purcell (Lincoln) and Amaury Nolasco (Sucre) from PRISON BREAK earlier tonight. Wentworth Miller was a no show…surprise surprise!

Dom and Amaury both shared some great stuff of what we can expect this season on PRISON BREAK including some lady love for Lincoln. Can’t wait!!!

The Cocktail Party Primer (Episode #3)

    August 19, 2007 by
Filed under 24, TV Comedy, TV Drama

It’s Friday so you know what that means…tomorrow is Saturday…oh and also it’s time for another episode of The Cocktail Party Primer hosted by Mostly Martha. Martha’s got the news you need to know – and I triple dog dare you not to laugh out loud while reading.

Prince is to Ryan Seacrest as a 67 Chevy is to an 87 Civic

Sometimes television reminds me of high school. ABC is playing with your heart, 24 is written by a bunch of slackers who won’t do their homework, Fox wants you to turn down that rock and roll music, and Hayden Panettiere is a pretty cheerleader heading for a breakdown. This week’s Cocktail Party Primer will let you in on what all the cool kids have been whispering about in study hall.

    • It may be time to organize an intervention for Hayden Panettiere. Just when I’d gotten used to thinking of her as the anti-Lohan, what with her wholesomeness and sobriety and sensible use of underpants, news leaked out this week she’s in trouble with the law. That’s right, everyone’s favorite supernatural cheerleader got a parking ticket. She’s on the road to ruin. This time next month she’ll be flashing her bits and snorting coke of the toilet seats at Chateau Marmont. But maybe it’s not too late. Maybe if we save her, we can save the. . . oh, you get the idea.
    • Did you know that Hillary Clinton is a bitch? And Micheal Moore is fat and stupid? And that the ACLU is a bunch of pedophiles? You could have learned these and other hilariously satirical truths on The 1/2 Hour News Hour, Fox News’ conservative alternative to The Daily Show, but now it’s too late. The show, which was aimed at what Nixon once referred to as “the silent majority,” was canceled on August 14th. Given that its ratings fell every time it aired, apparently the “majority” is not only silent, but blind and Tivo-less as well. I guess all those guys with shameful, secret crushes on Ann Coulter will have to go elsewhere for their fix. You know who you are, you dirty boys.
    • In an attempt to placate fans of the recently canceled Knights of Prosperity and The Nine, ABC had scheduled the remaining episodes of both to air. The move was short-lived, however, as ABC promptly re-canceled both of them. I swear, ABC is acting like an emotionally manipulative teenage boyfriend. You know, the one you were so in love with who broke your heart then kept coming over for bootie calls and implying that maybe you two would get back together? I’ve heard rumors that ABC is planning on kicking off the fall season by hooking up with your best friend at a party, posting naked pictures of you on Myspace, and then asking if its still cool for them to crash on your couch.
    • Apparently Prince’s rain-and-fabulousness soaked Half Time performance last year used up all of the Super Bowl’s allotted awesome points for the next decade. In a move oddly reminiscent of Ed Sullivan refusing to show Elvis’s pelvis for fear of riling up the populace, Fox is upping the mediocrity quotient of the grand gridiron competition by getting the ultimate square Ryan Seacrest to host. To further prevent undue titillation, the network is requesting that Super Bowl viewers serve skim milk and oatmeal, wear proper helmets and knee pads, and be in bed by 10:00 PM, whether the game is over or not.
    • Filming for the new season of 24 was supposed to start in late July, but as of the second week of August, the writing staff still hasn’t been able to produce the new season’s storyline. Fox announced they are pushing back the production date until September 10. They seemed shocked when Fox told them the due date for the new scripts had come and gone. After coasting through the whole heavily criticized sixth season without bothering to formulate a decent plot, the writers apparently thought they could get away with anything. As added pressure, this year Fox has said they want the show not to suck.Man, those 24 writers thought they were so smart with their “my dog ate the story arc” and “my computer died just before I could print the script” excuses. They already tried turning in their seventh grade report on Gulliver’s Travels retitled “Bauer and the Really Little Terrorists.” If their next plan is to buy the CliffsNotes to the last season of Alias and just summarize, I bet they end up in detention.

THE DAILY SHOW in Iraq…No Seriously

THE DAILY SHOW in Iraq…No Seriously

THE DAILY SHOW takes on Mess ‘o potamia next week from epicenter of the mess…Iraq.  And no I’m not kidding.  DAILY SHOW correspondent Rob Riggle wont’ be standing in front of a green screen when he files his reports from Iraq next week.  The faux-reporter was actually embedded with troops for a series of segments called ‘Operation Silent Thunder: The Daily Show in Iraq”.

No word on yet what the segments will cover, but we can expect that THE DAILY SHOW will do what it does best – expose some of the truths of war but with a little laughter to keep us all in check.  The Daily Show is at the forefront of comedy, but I can see the producers wanting to respect the opportunity that Riggle was given to travel with the troops.

Riggle, a major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve who served in Liberia, Kosovo and Afghanistan, also participated in a comedy tour for the troops along with Horatio Sanz, Paul Scheer, and Rob Huebel.

    PRISON BREAK Season 3 Promo

The third season of PRISON BREAK begins on September 17th (aka not soon enough).  Last night during the SYTYCD finale, Fox gave us the first peek at the new season.  PRISON BREAK was a little hit or miss at times last season, but I still love that show and I can’t wait for it to return.

    [gv data=”-ZgFAlTtF3k”][/gv]

I’m actually going to be seeing Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and Amaury Nolasco this weekend in New Orleans at the K-Ville premiere party so I’ll try to get some scoop on the new season if I can.

    On the Road Again…(Update)

    August 17, 2007 by

    K-Ville

These days I seem to live on planes, but I’m not com’plane’ing (terrible joke, but I’m going on about 3 hours sleep so let me have that one, ok). Tomorrow morning I’m heading off for a fun filled TV weekend. I’ll give you a few hints and you see if you can guess where I’m going.(1) The event – a premiere party for a new, highly anticipated Fall TV show

    (2) Heading to a warm climate

    (3) The city plays an important role in the show

    (4) “Yeah, now that you can drink legally, we thought the best thing to get you was a car.”

    Any guesses?

UPDATE: Kristi was the first to guess that I’m heading to New Orleans for the K-VILLE premiere party. There’s been a lot of buzz about this new show which looks into the lives of the police force living in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Fox is hosting a premiere party/fundraiser during which I’ll get some exclusive interviews with the cast and creators of K-VILLE.  A few of the guys from PRISON BREAK will be attending too so hopefully I can get some scoop on S3. I’ve got red carpet access, face time with the series creator and then of course the bit party itself so it should be a great weekend.

I’ve never been to New Orleans so I’m looking forward to experience a bit of the city this weekend.
