PARENTHOOD Finale Preview: Peep the Family Drama

April 19, 2011 by

So, PARENTHOOD is pretty much the best drama on network TV right now. Have I mentioned that before? Okay, sure, it’s a matter of opinion, but PARENTHOOD truly is so much better than the lack of attention it’s garnering right now.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS fans, if you’re not watching, you really should. You’re into heart. You’re into character. You’re into realistic portrayals of life struggles. PARENTHOOD has all these things. And the same showrunner as FNL as well. Jason Katims’ fingerprints, like that of a skilled artist, are all over this show. And I’m so bummed that the finale airs tonight. PARENTHOOD has been the highlight of this TV season for me.

In this evening’s episode, Sarah (Lauren Graham) and the rest of the family worry about Amber’s well-being after the car accident she was in last week. Max’s behavior upsets Adam (Peter Krause). Julia (Erika Christenson) unexpectedly plays a big role in a woman’s labor and delivery, which is difficult since she was just told that she may not be able to conceive again. Kristina helps with Haddie’s transition into womanhood after asking Haddie if she and her boyfriend are having sex. Crosby, still trying to win Jasmine back, tries to convince her to visit the new home he bought for them.

Take a look…

You summed it up perfectly!!! I absolutely love this show! Everything about it!! And FNL is another favorite. Sad it’s the finale but glad to be able to catch the last season for FNL that has now just started up again

I love this show and I think Friday Night Lights is the best show on television. I was wondering about the tribute at the end of Parenthood finale. “In memory of Bob Yannetti and Jimmy Diggs”. I can’t find anything about this.

I absolutely love this show! It is one of my favorite shows this season. I was left wondering if it would have another season, because it didn’t really leave any cliffhangers. I watch this show every week on my HDTV in HD. I have HD channels through my provider/employer DISH Network. They have the most HD in the industry, and I pay no extra cost for them. I love that I get to watch Parenthood and all my other shows in a crystal clear picture. There is nothing better.

Peggy, Bob Yannetti was the assistant director on Parenthood. He died on April 15th. I can’t figure out the Jimmy Diggs part.

“Jimmy Diggs (born September 2, 1955) is an American television screenwriter best known for writing the stories for a combined seven episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager.[1] “

WHAT a finale. I don’t know if I’ve ever cried so much in a 45 minute show in my life! My all time favorite show.
I looked it up, and it seems like, though it’s not guaranteed, it is likely that Parenthood will be renewed for another season.
Fingers crossed! I would be crushed to lose such an amazing show.
