THE VOICE: Tony Lucca Explains Why He Decided to Tackle a Britney Spears Song

April 24, 2012 by
Filed under #1 featured, The Voice

What’s the best way to get people talking after being called “one dimensional” by a former costar? For THE VOICE’s Tony Lucca, the answer was to do his take on “…Baby One More Time,” a song first made popular by Britney Spears (another one of his former MICKEY MOUSE CLUB costars).

When I caught up with Lucca after Monday night’s live performance show, he noted there were “layers of value” to choosing that song, but seemed pleased with how everything had turned out.

Take a look for more on that, if Christina Aguilera knew to expect a Britney song from him and much more…

BONES Recap: ‘The Warrior in the Wuss’

April 24, 2012 by

Hey BONES fans, how did you like this episode, “The Warrior in the Wuss”? I thought that for the first time in a while, the show focused on the story/life of the victim, and that was nice. It’s also not often that all three parts of an episode (case/lab/BB) have so much drama like this one did. For me, it made the episode a little uneven — almost as if I wasn’t sure which part I should care about most. But I don’t know if that’s a bad thing. Thoughts from you? In the meantime, let’s discuss further…

On SMASH, poor Ivy has her entire world falling apart around her. After losing her dream role of Marilyn Monroe, you’d think things couldn’t get much worse, but alas, it’s television and they will.

Megan Hilty (Ivy) spoke with reporters last week at an NBC press event and she shared things between Derek and Ivy aren’t going to be too hot as the season comes to a close.

Comments Off on HART OF DIXIE: Cress Williams Ponders the Fate of Lavon and Lemon. Plus, Leila Gerstein Teases ‘Destiny & Denial’

Fresh off of last week’s explosive episode of HART OF DIXIE, all of the relationships have been blown up with George declaring he wants nothing to do with his former fiancee, Lemon, after learning about her affair with Lavon — and that his friend, Zoe, helped cover it up.

So what can fans expect from George in tonight’s hour, “Destiny & Denial”?

“[It’s] an enormous episode for George with how he reacts to this news,” HART OF DIXIE creator Leila Gerstein told reporters last week. “It’s a bombshell. His whole life has changed — everything he thought he knew was wrong. His future is wide open, so you will find out what happens with George.”

Of course, George isn’t the only one reeling. Lavon has had his relationships fall apart as well, and the dude isn’t doing so well. I spoke with Cress Willaims (Lavon) at the grand opening of Warner Bros. Television Group’s Television: Out of the Box exhibit on display at the Los Angeles-based Paley Center, and he shared some thoughts on the status of Lemon and Lavon…
