GLEE: Mike O’Malley on His Hopes to Return to Honor Cory Monteith

July 27, 2013 by

Kurt hasn’t needed his father quite as much on GLEE post-graduation — in fact, Burt’s illness played a role in two of his three season 4 episodes — but due to the recent real-life passing of GLEE star Cory Monteith (Finn), Burt’s portrayer, Mike O’Malley is hoping he’ll be able to make it back to the Fox show to pay his respects.

“You know, I hope to [return to GLEE],”O’Malley said while promoting his new NBC comedy, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY. “I’m here doing WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, and we shoot one episode five days a week. But, you know, Burt is a very, very important role to me. It’s been a great, great part, and I’ve said to all those guys that I will work early in the morning, late at night, Saturdays, Sundays, whatever I need to do to participate in, not only continuing to be on that show, but honoring Cory and his passing and that character. You know, he is — on that show — my stepson. So I certainly plan on being there, and I actually think they’re going to be possibly shooting that episode on a time when we’re on hiatus.”

How important do you feel it is for O’Malley to return to GLEE?

A small number of my weblog audience have complained about my weblog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks wonderful in Firefox. Do you might have any solutions to help fix this concern?
