SUPERNATURAL: Misha Collins to be a Regular in Season 10

May 9, 2014 by

With SUPERNATURAL’s renewal secured several months ago, one of the only lingering questions was about the status of Misha Collins’ Castiel. And now, a rep for the show has confirmed that Collins will be a series regular in the upcoming season.

Are you glad Castiel will be sticking around?

Oh dear God, no. Not more boring angels. I was hoping against hope that ALL the angels and their dull as dishwater storylines were finally going to disappear at the end of this season and next season would be just Sam and Dean working the family business fighting demons, ghosts and all things horror.

Sigh. I guess that’s the end for SPN and me.

I am BEYOND THRILLED AND HAPPY that Misha is back in Season 10. He’s by far my favorite character and I would not have been watching Season 10 without him. So yes, so thrilled. And can’t wait to see more adventures with Team Free Will!

BEST NEWS EVER. Thank you for the news. Finally a reason to be happy. I was getting worried but having Misha next season means I’m definitely returning. 🙂

So happy Castiel is back for season 10, he is the main reason I watch SPN. I just hope in season 10 we get to see him in more eps than season 9. Also I hope he shares many more scenes with Sam & Dean next season.

Great, more fan service. I wonder how they’re going to try to make him relevant this year. Oh let me guess, more of this repetitive angel crap!!! What ever happened to Sam and Dean? They are hardly in any of the latest episodes…

I’m thrilled to hear that Cas will be back again next season. He’s a big part of what gets me to watch each week. My only concern is that I hope they stop trying to seperate Cas’ story from Dean and Sam’s story. I want them all together, hunting monsters and saving people.

Thrilled to hear that Misha is coming back!! I was so worried. Castiel is my favorite character ever. Books, movies, tv. Misha is an amazingly versatile actor. Can’t wait to see more of Castiel’s story.

So happy Castiel will be a regular again in Season 10! Cas has become an essential part of SPN, with a big emotional role and he’s entwined in the mytharc.

For SPN to endure this long, it has to be allowed to grow, and Castiel’s character has been one of the best parts of that. I adored S1-3, but Castiel has added a lot to SPN and I’m delighted we’re getting more of his story. I hope SPN will have Cas working with the brothers more often in S10.

like I’ve said many times over – BEST NEWS EVER. you make strong characters that help drive the story, you keep ’em! (yes, I know this is debatable. but not in this case, OK.) plus, Misha’s an absolute treasure everybody should want to keep close and involved in everything. ever. as for that first comment. I don’t think adding angels necessarily takes away from the monsters. I think it’s quite possible to do both, like they’re doing now with the Mark of Dean (omigish, totally a Freudian slip) and the Fight for Heaven. maybe the angel side does seem a bit in the foreground at the moment, but that could all change with a few strokes of a pen. I think another season with Cas is something to look forward to (besides, who says he’ll still be an angel), in fact I’m eagerly awaiting the day when Supernatural being renewed for a further season automatically means Misha as well! Cas deserves it. they both do! (everyone involved does. including the fans!) supernaturally yours N

I am beyond delighted to see more of Castiel, wherever the finale takes him. More importantly, so are the actors, crew and writers that have worked with Misha and that shape Castiel and the Winchesters, too.

Of course I’m thrilled to hear Cas will be back for season 10! Although I never had any doubts Misha would be coming back in the first place *there was just no way they wouldn’t renew his contract, lbr.* it’s still great to hear confirmation of his return. I am so ready for these last to episodes and onward to season 10! 😀

I had no doubt he would be back. He’s the best part of the show rn. His character is one of the main three characters with more going on than Sam and Dean. How could they eliminate him from his own show when he plays such an important role alongside the other two regulars?

Those who don’t like Castiel, Misha or the angels feel free to leave. There’s so few of you that the rest of us probably won’t notice if you are extra careful and not let the door hit you in the back.
