BONES-SLEEPY HOLLOW Potential Crossover Planned
July 15, 2015 by Marisa Roffman
SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills may soon be crossing paths with BONES’ Booth and Brennan.
The two shows — which aired together on Mondays in SLEEPY’s first/BONES’ ninth season, and will reunite this fall on Thursdays — are gearing up to air a crossover event at some point in the 2015-2016 season, EW reports. (Reps for the shows have yet to comment on the reports.)
The logistics of how that might work are very much up in the air. In addition to the two shows filming in different states (BONES films in California; SLEEPY HOLLOW now films in Georgia), the two shows are very different — though both have a case of the week element to them, Booth and Brennan deal with normal killers, while Ichabod and Abbie are off dealing with the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. (There’s also that little fact that Ichabod Crane was born in the 1700s — a fact that would surely break Brennan’s brain, if she believed his tale.)
That being said, this isn’t the first time BONES has wanted to do a crossover with a very different kind of show: BONES creator Hart Hanson had previously wanted to do a crossover with FRINGE, but that never panned out.
Either way, BONES and SLEEPY HOLLOW return with new episodes Thursday, October 1st on Fox.
So, um, what say you?

No, no, no.
Eep.
It could work… if it was handled the way, say, the alt-u episode this year in ‘Castle’, where *we* and *ours* (Abbie & Ichabod) (the away team) know the truth, and the home team is largely/mostly skeptical, with some quizzical glances and of course jokes and such. Then an ambivalent reveal at the end to leave Brennan & Booth wondering….
Plus, Holy Conspiracy Theory, wouldn’t Hodgins adore to talk Masons and George Washington and End of Days and hidden chambers and plans?
*so much more fun than Betsy Ross as a new un-Abby for Sleepy Hollow this season.
