Though the Cloud 9 employees might feel like they spend all of their time at work, but SUPERSTORE is taking it a step further when the show returns: a blizzard traps the team inside the store.

While the team has spent the night together before—in season 1’s “All-Nighter”—they are stuck “inside for an extended period of time,” executive producer Justin Spitzer said after the show’s Television Critics Association panel. “It’s what happens as people start to go a little crazy.”

Of course, this is coming after much of the country has gone through record colds—but this was planned before those storms hit. “We try to make most of our stories come from character or think of a funny situation that will affect the characters” versus chase the real world, Spitzer said during the show’s panel.

But the production of the episode allowed for the cast to have a little bit of extra fun. “Obviously, the show takes place in St. Louis, which has a different climate than Los Angeles [where it’s filmed],” Colton Dunn (Garrett) said. “So [in the episode] you are going to get to see us out front in the store, and it’s a complete blizzard. And when we were there, it was like a real blizzard. People were bringing their kids to set so they could see snow for the first time. It was an amazing couple of days, and we all got to bundle up and wear coats when it was 70 degrees out.”
