THE GOLDBERGS, THE MASKED SINGER, SEAL TEAM

THE GOLDBERGS – “The Beverly Goldberg Cookbook: Part 2” – Beverly is approached by a publishing company for her cookbook, but they don’t like how she writes, so Adam must rewrite her work. Meanwhile, Barry and Erica cannot stop fighting as roommates and they make themselves crazy. Geoff tries to moderate the situation and they come up with a housing plan that changes everything on an all-new episode of “The Goldbergs,” WEDNESDAY, DEC. 4 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EST), on ABC. (ABC/Richard Cartwright)

Let’s talk about Wednesday’s TV!

THE GOLDBERGS: Oh, Adam, that feedback was never, ever, ever going to go well with Beverly. But I love that the real Beverly finally got her own cookbook.

Also, it’s going to be interesting to see how the show balances Erica and Barry living apart. Them being together at least made it natural for their storylines to stay away from the rest of the Goldberg family. With the family further splintered now, will Barry and/or Erica be coming home more?

THE MASKED SINGER: This was a really great episode with truly no bad choice to go home/stay. Which made losing a contestant tough. But, uh, the judges seemed to really miss the HUGE clue about the Fox, which was the “Yes, and…” sign. It feels so clear it’s Wayne Brady??

SCHOOLED: Mellor going all in Pokemon was hilarious. I missed that particular obsession when I was a kid in the ’90s, but I had enough friends who played so the references landed. And CB being so, so excited absolutely fit.

THE MOODYS: We’re a third of the way through the series, which is crazy. But, boy, they are messy.

SEAL TEAM: While the action was with Bravo team as they dealt with a potential Ebola outbreak, the most compelling part was Jason in therapy. The directing choices were gorgeous, as they seemed to go handheld (and a little manic) as Jason struggled to express—and, frankly, even understand—his feelings. (Not to mention focusing on the random gadgets that were catching Jason’s attention.) I’m glad Jason was able to take a step forward and open himself up.

Also, I feel awful for Lisa. She’s going through so many changes and really has no one she feels comfortable letting in.

MODERN FAMILY: Aw, it was sweet that Claire got to have that moment with her mother’s tree. And Cam and Mitch freaking out about being snubbed for being a bio dad was perfectly them.
