MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “After, Before” – With the Zephyr’s time drive malfunctioning, the team is quite literally hurling toward disaster and Yo-Yo may be their only hope. The only problem? To get her powers back, she’ll need to enlist the help of an old adversary and revisit part of her past long hidden away, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!
UNITED WE FALL: I still don’t understand why ABC dropped this show over the summer, when it’s very likely we’ll have limited scripted shows on the schedule this fall. This could have held versus being burned off.
The show was exactly what it was supposed to be. Comedies sometimes take a bit of time to find their true tone, so
GAME ON: Uh, that final challenge seemed really dangerous, and the bit with Ian Karmel trying to get up the hill was…a lot. It’s one thing when the celebrities are trying and having fun while they’re struggling, but he seemed genuinely miserable/unsure if he could make it.
AGENTS OF SHIELD: Can’t believe how close we were to a DOLLHOUSE reunion! Enver Gjokaj and Dichen Lachman were…right there. But, man, poor Yo-Yo.
(Also, I LOVED the May and Yo-Yo “fight.” Totally in-character for the two of them to go that route.)
