When a friend comes to Bash (Hamza Haq) for help on the Tuesday, November 17 episode of TRANSPLANT, the doctor is put in an uncomfortable position.

The friend—who is in the country illegally—is looking to be in and out of the hospital, with no surgery or any kind of treatment that would keep him around for long. So to get a second opinion, Bash reaches out to Dr. Bishop (John Hannah), to see if he has any ideas.

“This patient needs surgery, which I know you know,” Bishop tells Bash in the exclusive clip below. After confirming that Bash knows the patient, Bishop warns him, “Whatever history you have is inconsequential…the minute [he came to the hospital], you stopped being his friend and became his doctor.”

TRANSPLANT, Tuesdays, 10/9c, NBC
