CHICAGO MED Season 6 Finale: How Did the Show Write Out April and Natalie?

[Warning: This post contains spoilers for the CHICAGO MED season 6 finale.]

CHICAGO MED’s season 6 finale said goodbye to Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) and April (Yaya DaCosta)—though both exits were quasi-open-ended.

For Natalie, after discovering that Will (Nick Gehlfuss) was fired from the hospital for stealing the drug trials to give to her mother, she went to Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) and confessed it was actually her. But how Goodwin will react is still TBD, as the hour closed with that reveal.

For April, the news was a bit better: she got into school. But she also confessed to her ex, Ethan (Brian Tee), that in the aftermath of his shooting, “everything came back to me. Just how much I love you.” So if—or how—the exes try and move forward with their relationship while she’s off at school is also very much up in the air.
