About Last Night…AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, THE FLASH, and NEW AMSTERDAM

Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: This was a fun episode, with a number of really good musical acts (including Simon’s Golden Buzzer, who had a heartbreaking story and an incredible voice). I’m not sure if the winner is in this act, but there are a lot of people who will be fun to watch.

THE FLASH: It’s really sad to lose Cisco, and, man, that final karaoke moment was lovely. I’m going to miss him with the team. But it’s kind of crazy he really believed they’d be indifferent over him leaving? They were clearly overcompensating!

NEW AMSTERDAM: Holy Sharpwin! It felt like it was the right time for Helen and Max to take the step…as much as they may have had feelings for each other, life was in their way. It’ll be interesting to see how they navigate their new relationship going forward.

I really loved the format of the episode, breaking it into mini-movies for the core characters. (I was also reallllly worried Sharpe’s mother would be sick and it would prompt her to move closer to her, at least temporarily.) I don’t blame Iggy at all for his paranoia when his daughter went missing, but Lauren…no. Just no. I get her wanting to keep her girlfriend close, but uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, maybe don’t violate all the rules to do that? (Also, Reynolds and Malvo sure jumped from that no to a relationship to full-speed ahead in the time we missed.) [For more on the finale, here’s what Ryan Eggold and Freema Agyeman had to say.]
