About Last Night…CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE, SUPERMARKET SWEEP, and THE ROOKIE

Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

CELEBRITY WHEEL OF FORTUNE: This was a fun game. Yeah, neither won the final round—which is always a bummer–but it was pretty evenly split and nicely competitive. It’s always a bit more fun when it feels like everyone has a chance.

SUPERMARKET SWEEP: The first pairing not even getting the first clue…oh my GOD. The clue was hard, but go to the area and find them?! At least the second winning pair won the $100k; they were so good.

THE ROOKIE: I loved the storytelling device of utilizing the bodycams and vehicle cams (and FaceTime, etc.) to tell the majority of the episode. It worked!

This is not even a joke, but has any episode on television included more gunshots that this hour of THE ROOKIE?? The suspect Lopez and Nolan were chasing being so trigger-happy made it so it felt like they were shot at (and had to return fire) more than any other time on TV.

I’m really loving the partnership between Nyla and Aaron. He’s right that she was holding the past against herself and she regret not fighting for her daughter. I also loved that he’s having his former lawyer assist her case—it absolutely makes sense his case would have given his lawyer so much press/business she would owe him.

But, man, my heart broke for Tim. I don’t blame him for shutting down given the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father; I’m glad he decided to help his sister with their family home.

(PROTECT WESLEY AT ALL COSTS. They have already lost Jackson, Wesley can’t be next.)
