FBI: INTERNATIONAL: Heida Reed Previews Drama with Jamie’s Informant, Fallout From Prague

On the Tuesday, January 11 episode of FBI: INTERNATIONAL, the Fly Team gets called to Northern Ireland when a suspect has an unusual request: he asks for Jamie (Heida Reed) by name.
“An old informant of Jamie’s has asked for help,” Reed teases. “He’s been involved in a case [where] he might get arrested…which actually has nothing to do with the FBI, but he has some information that he says he can trade that is very much of the FBI’s interest. And that’s how we end up in Belfast.”
For Jamie, it’s just the tip of the iceberg of her issues. The higher ups have become suspicious about what, exactly, went down in Prague, when Jamie quietly got too involved in a case.
“We open the episode with an internal investigation into what she did in Prague, where she led a witness to confess to a crime he didn’t commit,” Reed teases.
Because of that, this trip to help out her informant “for her, is kind of an escape from that whole thing,” she continues. “And she just wants to throw herself into her work.”
But there’s only so much she can escape from, as things are inevitably personal with this new case. “[Jamie] and this informant have had a lot of history, broken a lot of cases together,” Reed notes. “And there is that question of where his allegiance lies, whether he’s actually helping her or not.”
Amidst the drama, there is a bit of good news. Though the team’s beloved dog Tank has been sick, going forward Reed shares the outlook might be more positive: “I think people are going to be relieved.”
