BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: Martin Short, Shania Twain, David Alan Grier Among the 6 Joining ABC Special

ABC has added to the cast of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: A 30TH CELEBRATION.

According to the network, “Martin Short has been tapped to play Lumière; Tony® Award winner David Alan Grier will play Cogsworth; Rizwan Manji joins the cast as Gaston’s loyal sidekick, LeFou; and Jon Jon Briones will play Belle’s loving father, Maurice. Viewers are also in for a major treat as five-time GRAMMY Award® winner and top-selling female country pop artist Shania Twain is joined by rising star Leo Abelo Perry, playing everyone’s favorite mother-son duo, Mrs. Potts and Chip.”

They join previously announced H.E.R., Josh Groban, Joshua Henry, and Rita Moreno.

The two-hour event will be an animated and live-action blended special, and taped in front of a live audience. Jon M. Chu is set to executive produce, and Hamish Hamilton set to direct.
