Couch Madness: ‘No Way Out'

In honor of the NCAA tournament season, Give Me My Remote is bringing back our TV-centric bracket, pitting similarly titled episodes against each other: Couch Madness! (Credit for the excellent name goes to fellow reporter Chris Hayner.)

The seeding is simple: rather than quality of the hour, we’re going by air date (with the oldest episode getting the #1 slot and the newest getting #8). With Peak TV, this will not include every single show that has used this title; rather, we picked a selection from what was available.

The first round will run from Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15. Round two will kick off on Monday, March 18, with the final face-off starting on Monday, March 25.

Next up? “No Way Out.” Keep reading for the bracket, episode descriptions (from IMDB), and the poll. (For the other episodes competing, check out all the brackets here!)

CRIMINAL MINDS (1): “Gideon matches wits against the most prolific serial killer ever found, and the results are surprising.”

vs.

THE EQUALIZER (8): “Aunt Vi enlists the help of McCall and the team when she realizes her masseuse is a victim of domestic abuse. McCall trains Dee on situational awareness. Dante goes against orders by chasing after the man who shot his friend.”

CSI (2): “While investigating a gang-related shooting in an otherwise quiet suburban neighborhood, Raymond and Riley are held hostage.”

vs.

HIS DARK MATERIALS (7): “Will and Lyra journey into the Land of the Dead in search of Roger. Mrs Coulter risks everything to save Lyra.”

SUITS (3): “Mike is brought into the US Attorneys office for questioning by an attorney who hates dirty lawyers. Meanwhile, Dana Scott re-evaluates her relationship with Harvey.”

vs.

MAGNUM P.I. (6): “As Magnum, Higgins and TC try to pull one over on a customs agent to get Higgins a green card, armed gunmen suddenly storm the federal building and start taking hostages.”

THE WALKING DEAD (4): “Daryl, Abraham and Sasha face-off against the Saviors. Back at Alexandria, Rick and his group make their way through the herd.”

vs.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (5): “Cat and Vincent face a huge setback when Vincent is secretly interrogated about an impending attack, putting Vincent at his breaking point.”
