SWAT is making its cable debut on WE tv on Sunday, November 12. The series has aired six seasons and 128 episodes so far.

“SWAT is one of those high-octane procedurals that continues to captivate audiences and grow its viewership,” said Monica Veiga, Senior Vice President, U.S. Distribution, Sony Pictures Television, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with AMC Networks to bring this fan-favorite to their viewers.”

According to Sony, “Inspired by the television series and the feature film, “S.W.A.T.” stars Shemar Moore as a former Marine and locally born and raised S.W.A.T. sergeant, tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Torn between loyalty to where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson strives to bridge the divide between his two worlds.”

The series has had a dramatic 2023, with the show being canceled by CBS in May…only to get uncanceled/renewed a few days later.

Ultimately, “it wasn’t a show that CBS wanted to cancel,” co-creator Shawn Ryan shared in August. “It just required some back-channeling about what the production was capable of. I’m really glad it got worked out.”
