Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

NCIS: SYDNEY: Oh, hey Georgina Haig!

I’m more casual with the NCIS world, but this was a fun pilot. It was clever to have the boat/ship shtick pay off, plus the group dynamic works.

But also, oh my God, everyone who tries to divert attention and get shot in the vest is taking such a gamble—WHAT IF THE PERSON DOES A HEAD SHOT INSTEAD?!

NAME THAT TUNE: Mario and Deon Cole did well in their final rounds, but the games leading up to it felt pretty lopsided.

THE VOICE: So much crying?! But, yeah, wow, probably the second-best Knockout group with no saves and no steals left? ROUGH.

So, the twist is they’re bringing people back…but who? And what will the twist be? Will it be akin to when they had a contestant from each team battle for one spot?

FOUND: A really solid episode/case…I do just wish the flashback scenes with young Gabi and Sir weren’t a part of this episode. There have definitely been episodes where it felt like it enriched the modern storyline—or simply was deeply compelling—but this felt like it actually detracted from what else was going on.

I assume the Sir storyline will be essentially over by the end of the first season, and as much as I REALLY love MPG and think he’s great in this role, I think the show will probably be actually stronger when they’re not having to contend with this constant revenge/trauma reminder wrapped around Gabi’s neck. But we’ll see!

PRESS YOUR LUCK: Oy, the Whammies. It was rough in the initial game, but kind of heartbreaking in the final round. Like, I’m sure the final contestant was happy—a car worth almost a quarter of a million dollars is nothing to scoff at—but he got a Whammy in the penultimate go-round! It was so much.
