ABC Sets 2025 Oscars Date

The Oscars are staying at the earlier time: The 97th Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 2 at 7/6c (and 4 PM PT), ABC and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced.
The 7/6c time slot was first used for the 2024 awards…and the show actually came in ahead of schedule, clocking at 3 hours and 23 minutes.

Governors Awards Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024
Preliminary voting begins 9 a.m. PST Monday, Dec. 9, 2024

Oscars Shortlists Announcement Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024
Eligibility period ends Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024
Nominations voting begins 9 a.m. PST Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025
