    Ashton. Lmao.

  2. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:08 pm

mentioned this over at comments during the red carpet, but the whole cast of the Mary Tyler Moore show is supposed to be giving out the award for Best TV comedy ensemble. That will be a great moment seeing all of them together again.

  3. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 8:11 pm

Is Steve not sitting with the cast of “The Office”? I guess that makes sense…

  4. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:13 pm

Looks like Steve is with the Little Miss Sunshine cast. I really hope they win!

  5. GMMR on January 28th, 2007 8:13 pm

Whenever I hear Jeremy Irons, I can only think of Scar from The Lion King

  6. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:13 pm

Do you think “The Office” cast is stuck in the back somewhere? That’s where they usually are, sadly.

  7. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 8:14 pm

I know it seems odd. He’s nominated twice for “The Office”, but I guess movies trump television, which is ridiculous.

  8. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 8:14 pm

Me too GMMR. He will always be Scar to me

  9. Philiana on January 28th, 2007 8:14 pm

So we find out who gets Actor in a Comedy Series after the break.

  10. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:15 pm

The SAG website says Male Actor in a Comedy will be the fourth award and Comedy Ensemble will be the fifth award

  11. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:16 pm

Steve Carell totally deserves to win – not that I’m biased or anything! πŸ˜‰

  12. laura on January 28th, 2007 8:16 pm

when i think of Jeremy Irons i think of disney, too – he narrates the “Spaceship Earth” ride at Epcot…

  13. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:17 pm

    My fingers are crossed. πŸ™‚

  14. Emily on January 28th, 2007 8:18 pm

I was so excited to see America, I just watched Ugly Betty for the first time today and I LOVE it!! I understand now why she won the Golden Globe…

  15. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:18 pm

I wonder why the SAG awards are always on cable and not network TV?

  16. GMMR on January 28th, 2007 8:18 pm

I saw The Office table. Rainn and his wife, Angel and WArren (?) Jenna and I think John, David Denman and either his wife or Mindy and BJ are sitting together.

  17. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:21 pm

    Oh Alec.

  18. MT on January 28th, 2007 8:21 pm

    Seriously?!

  19. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:21 pm

Ah no! I like Alec Baldwin, but what the heck? I guess since he’s worked with a lot of people in movies, maybe that gives him an advantage?

  20. GMMR on January 28th, 2007 8:22 pm

John is sitting next to Rainn’s wife

  21. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:22 pm

Zzzzz… def. would have rather heard Steve speak!

  22. MT on January 28th, 2007 8:22 pm

Also, was Steve’s clip from last season? “Boys and Girls”?

  23. Philiana on January 28th, 2007 8:22 pm

Ugh. No. Why did Alec win?

  24. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:23 pm

they’re just zipping through these awards!

  25. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 8:23 pm

Damnit Alec! I’ve grown quite tired of you in the past two weeks… we BETTER win best ensemble. We totally deserve that. (I don’t know why I say we πŸ˜‰ yes, i joined the cast).

  26. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:24 pm

wtf?!?! Alec is funny on the show but doesn’t compare to Steve

  27. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:24 pm

    I miss Will & Grace.

  28. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:25 pm

Alec? Wha?? Come on Ensemble Award! The Office better win!

  29. Philiana on January 28th, 2007 8:25 pm

    Aw. America.

  30. GMMR on January 28th, 2007 8:26 pm

With Ugly Betty winning, I’m nervous for The office. But these are actors voting for actors so I think The Office still has a huge shot.

  31. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:27 pm

America is a well-spoken young woman.

And allll right Marky Mark. πŸ™‚ Love it.

  32. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:27 pm

I know – I’m glad for America but I hope this doesn’t reflect on Ugly Betty’s chances b/c I def. want The Office to take it. I’ve always thought they’re the most amazing ensemble on TV, comedy or drama.

  33. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:28 pm

America seems like a sweet girl… but don’t get me wrong the office better win

  34. Denise (ddker) on January 28th, 2007 8:29 pm

This seems to be a repeat of the globes…………….

  35. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 8:29 pm

Is Alec’s performance that good? Really? I don’t watch 30 Rock often so I don’t know his consistency. I’m bummed for Steve, but I’m still rooting for The Office. I’m scared though, voting for Ugly Betty seems to be the “in” thing to do.

Ooh they just announced the reunion of Mary Tyler Moore show so it’s coming up

  36. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:29 pm

Oh yes. Despite all my “America seems so great” if The Office doesn’t win I’m gonna frown big time.

  37. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:29 pm

Can’t you just picture mark walhberg in his calvin kliens? yummy πŸ™‚

  38. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:30 pm

Ok guys, you are making me nervous. I don’t want a repeat of the Golden GLobes tonight.

  39. Kim on January 28th, 2007 8:30 pm

I am getting very sick of Alec Baldwin as well. Like someone said, he has worked with so many people, so.. .
And Jaime Pressly was ROBBED again!

  40. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 8:32 pm

Well, we know of one person who voted for The Office, Julia Louis Dreyfous

  41. Emily on January 28th, 2007 8:32 pm

Kim, I totally agree. Jaime is hilarious on MNIE.

  42. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:33 pm

    here we go…

  43. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 8:34 pm

    eek I’m nervous!!!!

  44. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:37 pm

Mary Tyler Moore is wearing black nail polish. She’s more up with the trends than I am.

    Eek eek eek eek YESSSSSS!!

  60. Kim on January 28th, 2007 8:40 pm

    Finally, something gone right!!!!!

  61. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:40 pm

    lol Emily good catch!

Crazy–he gave the Webster’s definition of ensemble, which means “clothing” and how he thinks even though it doesn’t apply to people, he still thinks it’s a nice fit for their cast. Someone will come along with SUCH a better recap than mine, don’t worry! πŸ™‚

  62. Denise (ddker) on January 28th, 2007 8:41 pm

Thank God they won. I think I would have smashed the TV if they lost. (okay, so I may not have gone THAT far)

  63. laura on January 28th, 2007 8:41 pm

GMMR – i think your site is about to explode with a bunch of excited office crazies! yeah, office! how i love thee!

  64. Lauren (GeekCheek) on January 28th, 2007 8:41 pm

How cute was it that MTM and Valerie Harper were so excited for them. And that John, he even charms Miss Moore.

  65. JANES on January 28th, 2007 8:42 pm

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    Yesssss!

  66. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:43 pm

no one can resist john k πŸ™‚

  67. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:43 pm

Congrats to The Office! I’m sure they’ll all ecstatic right now! They are truly the definition of Best comedy ensemble – even if ensemble means clothing πŸ˜‰

  68. bubblewrap on January 28th, 2007 8:43 pm

    Yes! So awesome!! πŸ˜€

  69. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:43 pm

  71. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 8:44 pm

We won!!! OMG! I screamed and got a little teary eyed πŸ˜‰

  72. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:45 pm

Thanks guys for the recap!! I literally kept hitting refresh to see who won. I also jumped out of my seat when you guys said they won. We are running a test on one of our spacecrafts at work and the test conductors just looked at me funny!

  73. Emily on January 28th, 2007 8:45 pm

Wow, I loved Dreamgirls but how did he beat out those other performances??

  74. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:46 pm

what do you do crazygrina? eddie murphy is funny.

  75. MozartsFriend on January 28th, 2007 8:46 pm

    YES! on the Office winning!

  76. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:47 pm

BTW, guys on tbs.com they have video of the press room so I’m sure they will be showing the cast in the press room. Right now they just showed Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons. I will let you all know when The Office cast comes on.

  77. Jess on January 28th, 2007 8:47 pm

Ooh I am happy now. I’m going to channel my inner old lady and get ready for sleep. Thanks for all the interactive posts everyone! This was definitely the best way to watch an award show. Talk to y’all later πŸ™‚

  78. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:49 pm

good night! sleep well and dreams of office wins πŸ™‚

  79. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:50 pm

Jen, I am an engineer for an aerospace company. We design satellites that orbit the earth and monitor different things. We’re testing one right now, hence why I had to work this weekend. The tests last weeks (24/7) so they have us here monitoring data making sure the spacecrafts are talking back to the computers and such.

  80. Kim on January 28th, 2007 8:50 pm

I agree Emily. Based on those clips, Djimon Hounsou was incredible.

  81. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 8:51 pm

Oh, thank you CrazyGringa πŸ™‚ I have it playing in the background now.

  82. Angelica on January 28th, 2007 8:51 pm

Woo frikkin Hoo! The Office won πŸ™‚

  83. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:53 pm

    You’re welcome Kristi!

  84. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:53 pm

Thanks for the heads up crazygringa! I def. can’t wait to see the office cast talk about their well deserved win. I am so happy for them.

  85. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:53 pm

are they posting the videos on the website so we cansee them later? from what you can tell

  86. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 8:55 pm

the cast is taking photos now over at the TBS site. They prob. will be in the press room soon.

  87. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 8:56 pm

Yeah I can’t get the video to appear? Does anyone know whether you can see them with macs?

  88. Jen on January 28th, 2007 8:56 pm

Very cool Anne Hathaway is presenting Julie Andrews with an award πŸ™‚

  89. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 8:58 pm

It looks like they are posting them although when I try to click on the link for the red carpet stuff, the video doesn’t show up.

  90. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:00 pm

I can’t get the videos to work on my mac πŸ™ but now that I know they are there I will use another computer πŸ™‚

  91. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:00 pm

Aww, rats! I missed them in the photoline. I just now opened that video and America was on and now Eddie Murphy. Still no one in the press room.

  92. MT on January 28th, 2007 9:02 pm

Gotta say… Julie Andrews looks terrific for someone who’s is 71 years old. She aged so well. πŸ™‚

  93. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:04 pm

Office Cast in the press room RIGHT NOW!!!!

  94. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:04 pm

Julie Andrews is my idol. This is soo cool πŸ™‚

  95. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:05 pm

Its The Office Men….Rainn said “we are the men of Ugly Betty” haha

  96. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:05 pm

crap! It won’t play on Macs! Can someone help!!! What are they saying?

  97. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:06 pm

Was that Carol Burnett they showed? She is my other idol!

  98. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:07 pm

Rainn is talking about what they do on set…internet, play XBOX in Johns trailer.

Paul is talking about future plotlines…someone getting married, someone dying, and animal attacking. (he said he’s kidding)

  99. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:07 pm

Psappy I’m with you. I can’t see it

  100. Philiana on January 28th, 2007 9:08 pm

    Lmfao. Love the picture!

  101. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:08 pm

Oscar said Hi, I am Latino and they are talking about meeting the Carol Burnett cast and they are all just joking…Jenna’s talking now

  102. MT on January 28th, 2007 9:09 pm

I love the cast of the Office! Especially their interview.

  103. halfbaked on January 28th, 2007 9:09 pm

Grrrrrrr. I love my Mac except on occasions like this.

  104. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:09 pm

Angela walked into the crowd to show the award to someone and Rainn is talking about the awards genitals and how he posed for the award

  105. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:10 pm

    funny. thanks for the recaps

  106. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:10 pm

That was quick, they’re done now

  107. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:10 pm

that press room thing was too short! the cast talking is way more entertaining than the rest of this awards show is going to be. πŸ˜‰

  108. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:10 pm

    Julie Andrews…what an amazing lady!

  109. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:10 pm

okay so I am too wound up to even think about sleeping.

And usually I love my Mac, but I would really like to see the Office cast backstage. Oh well πŸ™‚

Crazy–you’re awesome with the recaps of backstage! πŸ™‚

  110. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:11 pm

apple needs to get it together so I don’t have to miss out on stuff

  111. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:12 pm

The Drama TV awards are up next – I’m rooting for Kiefer Sutherland or Hugh Laurie, Chandra Wilson, and the 24 cast

  112. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:12 pm

Everyone was joking and then Jenna comes in and says how she wonders if in like 20 years the cast will be getting together to present an award to someone else. Everyone was saying “awww”. Very show interview but great nonetheless. Paul joked som, as did Oscar, BJ and Rainn.

  113. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:12 pm

Yeah Steve Jobs can make some crazy phone but can’t find a way to let us see backstage moments. What, like he’s busy? Please. πŸ™‚

I’m still so excited about The Office win. Eep!

  114. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:12 pm

Thanks for recapping. I ran to my roommate’s non-mac computer and caught the tailend of the press room. First thing I saw was Oscar commenting about Ed Asner suggesting that The Office is funnier than their show, what came before that?

  115. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 9:13 pm

aww that was pretty awesome (albeit short) – I love seeing them all together πŸ™‚

  116. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:13 pm

I know Creed is there with the cast, but he isn’t “officially” listed as part of the ensemble. I hope he does get a statue, too.

  117. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:14 pm

man – I really hope the cast of Bobby does not win, but it seems like nearly half of SAG is in that movie!

  118. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:15 pm

creed should get a statue, the office wouldn’t be the office without all of them

  119. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:15 pm

So I was thinking maybe Chad Michael Murray is there because he was in “Bobby.” But they didn’t show him in the montage. Maybe he just snuck onto the red carpet.

  120. nene1213 on January 28th, 2007 9:16 pm

thank you CrazyGringa – didn’t know about the press room on tbs.com! that was awesome. it’s amazing the Office cast get anything done – they’re all so funny! and Jenna was so cute talking about how she hopes they present an award many years from now! Yeah Office!

  121. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:16 pm

Yeah, Creed has tons of good lines. I love the element he brings.

  122. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:16 pm

fingers crossed for Chandra Wilson! Go Bailey!

  123. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:17 pm

    YEAH!! BAILEY!

  124. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:17 pm

oh I haven’t seen that movie so I didn’t know he was in it. He is just so creepy. and yeah Chandra won πŸ™‚

  125. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:18 pm

okay – i absolutely love chandra wilson. the one in rehab! love it!

  126. laura on January 28th, 2007 9:18 pm

chandra wilson is hilariously spaztasic! i love her!

  127. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:18 pm

  128. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:19 pm

Chandra Wilson is great! She is the best on that show

  129. Emily on January 28th, 2007 9:20 pm

Funniest introduction of a catagory ever!! Go Julia and Steve.

  130. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:20 pm

    Steve and Julia—hilaaaarious.

  131. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:21 pm

Are there anymore pics posted of the office winning?

  132. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:21 pm

I can’t wait to get home tonight and watch the awards! I really want to see The Office’s reactions and heat Steve’s speech.

Thank you all for keeping me updated here at work! I actually don’t think it’s even aired here in Phx.

  133. Emily on January 28th, 2007 9:21 pm

Is Boston Legal even on tv anymore?

  134. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:23 pm

Haha Hugh Laurie poked fun at Eddie Murphy. I wish I watched House. It seems so good.

  135. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:23 pm

Love Hugh Laurie! Glad he won. So far all my TV choices (except comedy actor of course) have won! yay!

  136. duckyxdale on January 28th, 2007 9:24 pm

Um, what? 133 comments. This is OOC. I’m finding the awards unwatchable. Except I did get to see The Office win! Melora looked like a hunchback for some reason. WTF? Jenna and Angela looked amazing as did Mindy. And Phyllis, showing a little skin – oohlala!

  137. GMMR on January 28th, 2007 9:25 pm

This is SOOO my night…all my favorites are winning.

And you have no IDEA how ADORABLE John and Jenna were in the press room. His face lit up when she showed up. I love that they are such good friends.

  138. GMMR on January 28th, 2007 9:27 pm

Now I’m all about The Departed or Leo winning…because John is sitting behind him.

  139. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:27 pm

i’m soo sad I can see the tbs stuff.

  140. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:28 pm

I wish I could see John light up like that. I just checked youtube and nothing was there–wishful thinking, I know lol

  141. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:30 pm

Chandra Wilson’s speech was funny and endearing, as if she wasn’t awesome enough already!

  142. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:30 pm

Damn! I missed that part with John and Jenna. Crap! But I’m with you GMMR, all my favorites have won, except for Steve.

I wish Leo would finally win for something. Seriously, what does the man have to do!

  143. Emily on January 28th, 2007 9:33 pm

Has Leo ever won a major award? It’s about time…

  144. Lauren (GeekCheek) on January 28th, 2007 9:33 pm

I love my Mac, but for some reason, I can’t connect to the net on my virtual Windows system. Boo Turner Networks for using a microsoft video program that does not accept flip4mac!!

Is it just me, or does anyone else get sad when they show the people who died in the past year?

  145. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:33 pm

I love the SAG awards. They give my Office pals alittle love.

    Stupid Alec Baldwin, again.

  146. MT on January 28th, 2007 9:34 pm

For those who were wondering about Creed, from the pictures I saw from the photo room, it looks like he’s holding an award, too.

  147. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:35 pm

I get really sad when they show the people who have passed. There were alot of talented people who dies this year πŸ™

  148. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:37 pm

Leo won a Golden Globe for The Aviator but lost to Jamie Foxx in the Oscar Race.

  149. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:38 pm

Yeah!! Greys!!! Way to go….glad Isaiah isn’ there to scream something equally ridiculous in the mic

  150. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 9:39 pm

So what was the funny introduction that Steve and Julia did? (I am assuming Julia Louis-Dreyfus, right?)

  151. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:39 pm

I didn’t know Leo won for the aviator

  152. Tiff on January 28th, 2007 9:39 pm

Gah, literally just tuned in, I saw Steve Carell’s presentation, but it sucked.

Really glad Hugh Laurie won…I love him.

    Can’t believe I missed the Office win…grr.

Isn’t Babel pronounced “BA-bel”, not “Baybel”?

  153. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:40 pm

I love how Ellen Pompeo tried to thank everyone they act with but couldn’t remember names. She tried though πŸ™‚

And Cate Blanchett said “telly-prompter.” How British of her πŸ™‚

  154. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:41 pm

yes it was Julia Louis Dryfuss and it was really funny. Very snarky right up my alley πŸ™‚

  155. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:41 pm

Dude, what was Ellen’s acceptance speech about?

  156. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:43 pm

I think Ellen’s hair was pulled to tight to think straight

  157. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:45 pm

Jennifer Hudson is becoming the Alec Baldwin of award shows for me. I didn’t really care for her on American Idol, and now every time you turn the tv on she is getting something. I would have liked to see the love spread around since she will probably get the Oscar, give some of the others a chance. Kind of what someone mentioned about Leo, he has all of these performances, but keeps getting overshadowed by the “it” person of the moment.

  158. halfbaked on January 28th, 2007 9:45 pm

Lauren, not only do I get sad when the deaths are remembered, I don’t think I’ve ever be able to avoid crying. I’m such a wuss.

  159. nene1213 on January 28th, 2007 9:46 pm

The Grey’s cast had to know they had a really good shot to win – a little bit better speech could have been planned, ya think?

  160. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:47 pm

I was pulling for 24, but I like Grey’s too, so I’m not upset about them winning. Overall, I liked the TV winners (esp. The Office), though I def. think Steve should have won – first the Emmy, then the Globes, and now the SAGs? It’s a travesty. I really hope he gets another award for Little Miss Sunshine, though.

  161. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 9:48 pm

I would have loved to of seem Abigail win… I think that would have been so exciting for her and she did an amazing job in Little Miss Sunshine.

  162. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:48 pm

I’m guessing maybe Ellen spoke for Grey’s since she is the title character, but seriously? Seriously?
Give the mic to McDreamy or Katherine Heigl or let Chandra have a second crack at it since she did so well with the first.

  163. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:49 pm

Three hours later and Reese Witherspoon is still so stinkin’ cute. I want that dress.

  164. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:49 pm

Kristi, I was hoping Abigail would win as well.

  165. Kaci on January 28th, 2007 9:49 pm

The Office crew is back in their seats…I saw Angela behind Leonard DiCaprio…

  166. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:50 pm

Chandra should have spoken again. She did a good speech

  167. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:51 pm

I could’ve gone for a pan of Leo’s side of the room (i.e. surrounding tables) right about now. Lame.

  168. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:51 pm

Forest Whitiker should just take his awards and leave the stage

  169. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:52 pm

Forrest Whittaker is a great actor, but he seems to have a difficult time with the acceptance speeches. I’m glad for the honors he’s getting though.

  170. Lauren (GeekCheek) on January 28th, 2007 9:54 pm

John was definitely not sitting in the same seat, unless he turned into an African American woman!!

I thought that Jennifer Hudson was amazing in Dreamgirls, but I was really pulling for Abigail Breslin. It’s really hard to compare those performances because they are so different.

I’m getting really tired of Forrest Whittaker winning, too. I mean, he’s amazing and has been around forever, but Ryan Gosling was just brilliant.

And what film is Rachel McAdams filming that has resulted in that odd faded pink dye job?

  171. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 9:55 pm

Is Helen Mirren the only nominee who was actually there in the female actor category? Thank goodness she won! (Not that it was a surprise)

  172. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:56 pm

Lauren, I was thinking the same thing on Rachel McAdams. I commented to my roommate that if those two broke up then I would really be depressed. I heart Ryan and Rachel.

  173. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:56 pm

Yes he deserves to win. I guess it has to be very overwhelming to win these awards

  174. Tiff on January 28th, 2007 9:56 pm

There’s no way Helen Mirren can lose…the Queen was amazing.

  175. Jess on January 28th, 2007 9:57 pm

the cast of little miss sunshine!! hooray!!

  176. MT on January 28th, 2007 9:57 pm

    Yay! For Little Miss Sunshine!

  177. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:57 pm

Rachel’s hair was from a movie, but she told some reporter a few weeks ago she was keeping it a while.

  178. Lauren (GeekCheek) on January 28th, 2007 9:57 pm

Holy crap, Little Miss Sunshine just won!!!!

  179. Jen on January 28th, 2007 9:57 pm

yeah for Little Miss Sunshine πŸ™‚

  180. Tiff on January 28th, 2007 9:58 pm

Wow, that is SHOCKING! Little Miss Sunshine! I mean, it was great, but next to all those other great dramas…wow.

  181. Kim on January 28th, 2007 9:58 pm

    Little Miss Sunshine!!!!!!!

  182. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 9:59 pm

Yeah Little Miss Sunshine…bring on the Oscars!

  183. Carly on January 28th, 2007 9:59 pm

    YES! LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!
i honestly did not think they would win, but im so happy they did!

  184. Tiff on January 28th, 2007 10:00 pm

Psappy, I also heart Ryan and Rachel, and it was adorable how cutely proud of Ryan she was. I also love that they are both small-town Canadians. Yes, I am Canadian.

  185. nene1213 on January 28th, 2007 10:00 pm

Abigail Breslin couldn’t be any cuter

  186. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 10:00 pm

Yay for little miss sunshine! It’s too bad toni collette and paul dano weren’t able to be with them.

  187. Jess on January 28th, 2007 10:00 pm

Wow what a night! It’s too bad Steve didn’t win, but overall not too bad! πŸ™‚

  188. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 10:00 pm

Can I just say again how happy I am that The Office won! It’s great that they each keep an award. They can put it next to their Dundies on their mantles!

  189. Kristi on January 28th, 2007 10:01 pm

Wow! Little Miss Sunshine actually won! I am extremely surprised and happy!

So wait there’s no post-show coverage anywhere??? Aww ofcourse when we actually win E! isn’t showing anything…

  190. Tiff on January 28th, 2007 10:01 pm

    Yeah, go Little Miss Sunshine.

Plus, I love that Steve Carell was like, “No, you said it all, thanks!” He’s so humble.

    How cute is Abigail Breslin?!

  191. Psappy on January 28th, 2007 10:02 pm

WOW! First time nearly all of my favorites won

  192. Shannon on January 28th, 2007 10:03 pm

    Hooray for “Little Miss Sunshine”!!!!

I miss say that was a very nice, pleasant surprise!!!!

  193. Shannon on January 28th, 2007 10:03 pm

    Oops … I mean “I must say …”

  194. nene1213 on January 28th, 2007 10:04 pm

not as great as the Dundies (no Ping) but a pretty good awards show!

  195. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 10:04 pm

WHAT? Little Miss Sunshine won??? How great is that??? Who gave the acceptance speech? I loved that movie! My fave!

  196. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 10:04 pm

I’m so happy for Little Miss Sunsine and for that whole cast – the Producer Guild Award and the SAG Award! I’m not sure if it will get the Oscar, but I’m so glad it was at least nominated.

  197. BandGeek on January 28th, 2007 10:05 pm

With lines like this, how could you not win?

Olive: I’d like to dedicate this to my grandpa, who showed me these moves.
Pageant MC: Aww, that is so sweet.
    [Audience applauds]
Pageant MC: Is he here? Where’s your grandpa right now?
Olive: In the trunk of our car.

  198. Jen on January 28th, 2007 10:06 pm

I am so much happier than I was after the golden globes. This was a great awards show. πŸ™‚

  199. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 10:06 pm

crazygringa – Abagail gave a quick thank you (Greg Kinnear lifted her up) then Greg gave the acceptance speech – Steve Carell and Alan Arkin just gave a quick thank you as well as they left the stage.

  200. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 10:07 pm

    Thanks mg714. No Toni Collete?

Holy Guacamole, this was a great night!

  201. mg714 on January 28th, 2007 10:10 pm

Overall, I was happy with both the TV and movie winners (except for Alec Baldwin’s win – love 30 rock but no one can compete with steve carell). I’m so happy for Steve winning in both movies and TV, though!

It was fun chatting with everyone during the show! Have a good night!

  202. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 10:11 pm

    Wohoo, I was comment 200!

GMMR, do I get an award too?

  203. Jen on January 28th, 2007 10:13 pm

No Toni Collete or PAul Dano, neither were there

  204. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 10:17 pm

They’re probably filming movies and couldn’t come. I liked Paul in the movie.

  205. Jen on January 28th, 2007 10:19 pm

Yeah he was great. I loved it when Abagail convinced him to go back to the van. They were great as brother and sister

  206. Philiana on January 28th, 2007 10:19 pm

    AMAZING NIGHT!

  207. CrazyGringa on January 28th, 2007 10:22 pm

Yup, I loved his whole reaction when he found out he wouldn’t be able to fly because he was colorblind and the scenes he had with Abigail.

  208. Bill on January 28th, 2007 11:12 pm

Here’s my opinion on Alec Baldwin:
he’s very funny and fun to watch in his role as Jack on 30 Rock. However, his character doesn’t have much depth: and so I think Steve Carrell should have won for playing a boss who is equally boneheaded but also has a symphathetic side.

  209. Audge on January 29th, 2007 1:11 am

Chandra’s win was my favorite moment of the night! Loved the va-jay-jay acting clip and her funny speech, especially when she talked about the dude over in rehab.

And I’m so happy that the casts of The Office and Grey’s Anatomy won!
