It’s Christmastime on KENAN, and the NBC comedy is returning with an unexpected start: a song!
“We’re opening [the episode] with an awesome musical number that I don’t want to spoil,” Kenan Thompson, who plays the title character, teases in the video below. “It’s a great welcome back to the existence of our show, basically…Any time the music feels good, and we get a chance to thoroughly explore it, in comedy and shooting, it just feels great.”

‘Tis the season for holiday episodes!
NBC is bringing back its three freshman comedies—KENAN, YOUNG ROCK, and MR. MAYOR—on Wednesday, December 15 for holiday episodes. (Their official second seasons will premiere in 2022.)
