Let’s talk about Wednesday’s TV!

CHICAGO MED: Uh, Phillip is a monster? And wouldn’t it have been smart for him to come to the hospital to try and guilt Natalie into coming back?

I’m torn about the Will and Natalie thing. On one hand, Natalie wasn’t being malicious, she genuinely didn’t remember what was going on. But…they probably do need a break from each other.

April and Crockett have been clearly circling each other, but I’m sad for her that her bit of reproduction-challenged news caused her to spiral so much.

[For more on the CHICAGO MED fall finale and what comes next, here’s what the EPs had to say.]

THE GOLDBERGS: I’m honestly surprised Beverly did not lose her mind over her two oldest kids being stranded in Nashville?!

THE MASKED SINGER: PATTI-FREAKING-LABELLE DIDN’T EVEN MAKE THE FINALS? The performances were incredible, though.

CHICAGO FIRE: I feel absolutely awful for Stella. She tried so hard, and yet it just was too much to take on.

I’m glad Casey won’t spin out over his brief tryst with Dawson (especially given how long it took for him to get stable), so I’m curious to see where it actually goes moving forward.

But my favorite part was the unexpected Otis video. The scene made me emotional, and then hearing about the real-life inspiration for it just made it even more beautifully bittersweet.

MODERN FAMILY: Oh my God, of course Cam faked a breakup with Mitch before to see what kind of sympathy he would get.

SEAL TEAM: Oy vey, Jason is going to have a tough road ahead of him. I thought the show beautifully handled his emotional trauma as he realized his career, as he knows it, could be drastically changing, both with the use of flashbacks and how the scenes were directed.

I’m very curious how they handle his—serious—injury going forward. If he does end up having surgery, that, in theory, would be a months-long recovery process. Will the show jump ahead in time? Show Bravo Team on missions without him?

CHICAGO P.D.: Jay, WTF. I get you have guilt, but don’t tell the person you’ve been lying to that you’ve been lying to them while you’re both kidnapped and may be dying. Especially when said lie involved the other person’s husband’s death. We know he won’t die—probably helps Jay’s no-longer-friend was in very bad shape herself when she shot him—but yikes. And based on the promo for the next episode, things are going to get a lot worse.
