So Much TV, So Little Time to Blog

Give Me My RemoteYou know, I try to watch TV so I can jump in here and talk about it with all of you. But lately, by the time I am caught up watching my shows it’s really late, and all I want to do is crash*. So then I don’t have any time to write about all the shows I watched for the night.

There is a ton of TV that I watch every week, but you would never know because I just can’t find the time to cover them all. So for today, because my “real job” is going to keep me busy, I thought I would throw out a few random thoughts on the shows I’ve been watching. I’d love to hear what you are watching these days, and what shows you’d like me talk about more on GMMR.

The following contains spoilers for last night’s Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance – just fair warning in case they are sitting on your TiVo.

Random Thoughts by GMMR…

Big Brother All Stars

Crazy-eyed Alison was the first houseguest evicted from the Big Brother House. I’m glad to see her scheming ass go. But I think it would have been a much smarter play to evict Danielle. Alison would have dug her own grave because the girl just can’t keep her trap shut. The houseguests could have used her as a shield for at least 2 more weeks.

Howie’s obsession with Dr. Will is hysterical. His not-so-hetero man crush could be my favorite part of the show. My least favorite part of the show? Anything having to do with Chicken George. He is driving me crazy.  He’s not going to make it far in the Big Brother house, so why don’t they just get rid of him soon so we can all have a bit more fun. And finally, we need more Marcellas. He’s flying a bit too far under the radar for my liking.

Kaysar won HOH this week, so it looks like the BB6 Alliance is going strong in week 2. Queen TV will be watching the live feeds and providing us with an update mid-week.

So You Think You Can Dance

I LOVE the group dances at the start of the show….usually. I wasn’t a fan of last night’s disco number. I’m just not a fan of disco in general. The kids danced it well, but it just wasn’t my taste.

In the end we had to say goodbye to Ashlee and Musa. Noooo…I love Musa. But since he was up against Dimitri and Travis, he didn’t really have a shot.

Psych

Ok, this wasn’t a show on last night but it IS on tonight, and I think you should check it out. I caught the premiere episode last week and I was presently surprised. It’s pretty funny, and I like the premise. There is something comforting about seeing Dule Hill back on TV.

You can watch the premiere episode of Psych over at the USA website. Watch the second episode tonight on USA at 10/9c.

*Um, a quick piece of advice. When you are on a VERY small plane, in the middle of a horrific storm, it might not be the best time to tell your friend that you “can’t wait to crash” (as in fall asleep). It just doesn’t go over well. Trust me.

What brought on our plane “crash” memory? Still the funniest thing ever! I loved and hated you for it!

Actually every single time I hear the term “crash” in context of falling asleep, I think of that plane ride. How did we survive?

That is so funny. Where were you guys flying? Why on a tiny plane in the middle of a wicked storm? You’ve intrigued me.

We were on our way from San Diego to LAX after the Veronica Mars Bloggers Day. It was seriously like a monsoon, we saw a woman on a broom, and a girl with a dog in the basket of her bike go by our window. Hella funny.

The whole plane (all 20 of them) turned to GMMR as she turned purple because the two of us were laughing hysterically because we knew there was a little possibility it could actually happen.

Can’t think of a better way to go down!

Yeah, that whole “think before you speak” thing is a little lost on me. Thank God I don’t have a fear of flying because that itty bitty plane in the torrential downput was a little scary.

But I think we were still on our high from spending the day with Dick Casablancas so neither of us cared.

This may take a little practice and time to get used to.
You will struggle with consistently finding 20 minutes three times a week for
practice until you get used to it. If you find that guitar
lessons are expensive and hard to fit into
your schedule, consider taking online guitar lessons
as they are less expensive and you can easily learn at your own
    pace.
